Walter Elf
MÄnner In Rot
The legendary WALTER ELF were founded back in 1983 and spearheaded the German speaking punk movement of the late 80s and early 90s. Over the years they changed from so called "fun punk" where the "beer and music" lyrics were adapted to a more mature sound with more personal and reflective topics. Now, after 19 (!) years, which has seen just fans of the band only treated to the odd reunion show, they are back with new material! Title track "Manner in Rot" is coupled with "Der Betze Brennt" and "1991 (Lautern 3, Barcelona 1)" - the latter dedicated to their first love, FC Kaiserlautern football club. WALTER ELF were always inspired, and still are, by the old Anglo Saxon punk rock bands (Stiff Little Fingers, Undertones, Chelsea and The Clash) alongside early Die Toten Hosen and the US pop punk of ALL and BIG DRILL CAR.
