Broedermelk (2cd)
Reissue of an obscure Dutch jazz album originally released on Universe Productions in 1972. 'Broedermelk' features Harry Verbeke (tenor sax), Joop Verbeke (piano), Henk van Veldhuizen (bass) and Martin van Duynhoven (drums). The recording took place on December 22 1972 in a jazzbar called Passepartout in Leeuwarden. The engineer that night was Hans Poot who now roughly 45 years later teamed up with jazz lover Cor Boonstra (who was an old friend of Joop Verbeke). The idea of reissuing this unique material came from Cor. The result is a double CD set, digitally remastered, sounding better than the original, which includes the complete performance of that night in Leeuwarden.
