RSD 2014 release. Special 7" EP to accompany the band's new album 'Boot'. Two exclusive songs only available on this EP recorded in 2013. One time pressing of 750 copies. The Thing formed in 1999 as a Don Cherry recording project. They soon established themselves as one of the most important European jazz groups, playing a variety of compositions, ranging from extreme noise to American free jazz. The members are the highly rated musicians Mats Gustafsson (sax), Ingebrigt Haker Flaten (electric bass) and Paal Nilssen-Love (drums). Tracks: 1. Empty From Bawling 5.45 2.
