BACK IN PRINT. 'The Tired Sounds Of Stars Of The Lid' (originally dating from 2001) is the sixth studio LP by ambient drone group Stars Of The Lid. This TRIPLE-LP release finds he band expanding its sound palette to include strings, horns and piano in addition to guitars and field recordings. Nevertheless, the continued trend toward more overt melodic structures remind of their previous album 'Avec Laudanum'. Here are six suites combining atmosphere, texture and melody in neo psychedelia, comtemporary classical, ambient, minimalist and maximalist, and druggy vibes. It's all all about inner space.
