Patti Smith live from CBGB, New York, NY 11th August 1979. Few women in rock have had as enormous an impact and influence as Patti Smith. Smith was part of the early New York punk scene in 1975 with regular shows at the the CBGB club between 1974 and 1976. A major record deal in 1975 took her far and wide across America, but she returns with a no holds barred performance, on 11th August 1979, long after her career had exploded to the point where she was selling out 5,000 seater auditoriums!
