'Traantjes' ('Little Tears' in English) is the second album from the Amsterdam-based group Orquesta Del Tiempo Perdido, a.k.a. the large scale project of Jeroen Kimman, who on this recording has 21 co-conspirators. The music on 'Traantjes' is about as varied and difficult to fully describe as Kimman himself, but the album lands as a truly modern take on exotica that borrows from the worlds of soundtrack music, improvisation/jazz, folk music and so much more.
