THE OCEAN are an exceptional band, and not just since yesterday. For years the Berlin collective has stood out because of its musical depth, seriousness and high artistic standards. Since their instrumental album "Fogdiver" and the subsequent double-album ,fluxion / Aeolian" it has been clear they are onto something really special in the realm of post-hardcore / EPIC ROCK music. The Ocean will release 2 highly anticipated albums in 2010, entitled "Heliocentric" and "Anthropocentric", due for April and October 2010 releases. The concept at the base of both albums is a critique of Christianity from different philosophical and personal perspectives. "HELIOCENTRIC" is AN EPIC JOURNEY THAT is dominated, for the first time, by clean vocals. Atmospheric, dense, beautiful - That's "HELIOCENTRIC". FACTS This strictly limited box is designed to hold 2 special digipaks: the "Heliocentric" album (April 13th 2010) and the "Anthropocentric" album (October 2010). For now, the box is only being delivered with the "Heliocentric" album included! The "Anthropocentric"album can be purchased separately in October, to be put into the box... the box: - heavy (650 g) silver hot foiled cardboard box - exclusive artwork by Martin Kvamme inside the box: - "Heliocentric" DIGIPAK (RELEASED ON METAL BLADE RECORDS) with 3 revolving transparent & silver-foiled PVC dials attached to the front of DIGIPAK with a screw: the inner dial shows the sun, the next (larger dial) Shows the orbits of the planets revolving around the sun, the outer dial shows the zodiacs and a stellar map. These dials can be turned by hand. - the "Anthropocentric" album will come in a separate DIGIPAK with similar artwork, dials etc. EXTRA CD "HELIOCENTRAL", instrumental VERSION of ,HELIOCENTRIC" album inside the "Heliocentric" DIGIPAK - 9 cards with images by Francisco de Hollanda and lyrics on backside.
