On vinyl at long last, this is No Defences' 1984 five-track demo mini-album, originally recorded for Crass Records but never previously issued. Hailing from South London, this five-piece showcased a sound dominated by tribal rhythms, post-punk guitar rumblings and lyrics that were poetic, individual and radical. Though No Defences (originally known as Toxics) shared stages with a.o. Crass, Flux Of Pink Indians and Chumbawamba, the five-piece didn't sound like any of these bands at all. This release comes with a full-size full-colour booklet featuring photos, lyrics, notes and a complete list of every gig No Defences ever played.
