The Lewd was one of the US West Coast's finest punk/hardcore bands of the late '70s and early '80s, known for 1979's sought after KBD single 'Kill Yourself' and the classic LP 'American Wino' from 1982. Now here's a collection of demos from 1979-1980 that bridges the gap between the band's '70s punk days in Seattle and '80s hardcore era in San Francisco. The LP contains an awesome early demo, unreleased songs from the 'American Wino' LP sessions and the tracks from a session for Subterranean Records in SF which took place in 1980.
