Rapso, the 1970s West Indian music from Trinidad & Tobago, incorporates soca, calypso and hip-hop. It was born out of the social unrest of the 1970s, when Black Power and unions grew on Trinidad & Tobago. 'Blow 'Way' by Lancelot Layne is regarded the first rapso recording.
