If Neil Young was born forty years later in the cold Swedish woods, he would probably play with Holmes, by now. It's not a coincidence that Kristoffer Bolander's voice is often compared to the old Grizzly's. The band's territory is country-rock ballads and lap-steel guitars, enriched by a modern approach to pop and indie-rock; that sort of alternative-country like no one makes anymore, in the vein of Wilco's 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot' and Jayhawks, with personal and social conscious lyrics. For the first time ever on vinyl two somber and vibrant songs, with Anna Gottfries as special guest on the beautiful b-side.
