Heroes Symphony
Edition on 180-gram audiophile vinyl. Philip Glass composed 'Heroes Symphony' (also known as Symphony No. 4 'Heroes') in 1996 based on the David Bowie album 'Heroes'. (Glass also based his earlier 'Low Symphony' on Bowie's LP 'Low'). The symphony is scored for flutes, piccolo, oboes, clarinets, horns, etc. The album includes the 'Heroes Symphony', performed by the American Composers Orchestra directed by Michael Riesman and conducted by Dennis Russell Davies.
