Galathea

Galathea is the project by DJ Massimo Napoli, and the title of his self-titled album. Taking the name from the homonymous Nereid from the Greek mythology, the album is a deep dive into dub, spiritual jazz and African surroundings. Over twelve tracks, Galathea unfolds into many influences and styles. Mediterranean sounds, afro and cinematic melodies, jazz, spacey echoes and soothing beats, resulting in a flow and a convergence of genres, which freely progress into a dream-like journey.
