Ford's Fuzz Inferno

Eternal Circles Of Fuzz E.p.

The 'Eternal Circles Of Fuzz' EP is a strange beast in the Dutch 'fuzztopian' punk duo's discography. Nevertheless, the super catchy kick-off song, 'No Signal', is pretty much in FFI's trademark style. But from then on things take an unexpected turn. Cos in the following three tracks Mr. Hans and Mr. Patrick transport their garage-punk and early '80s hardcore roots to the early post-Altamont era, where it became clear that a world of love and peace was an illusion, friendly hippies got replaced by bad ass motorcycle gangs, and colourful lsd-trips turned into heroin fueled misery. Musically this means a grim and awe inspiring mix of the duo's usual approach and early '70s proto-punk at its most dangerous. These tracks pretty much sound like they were culled from a killer, semi-psychedelic score for an imaginary 1970 low budget exploitation biker movie. Stoner-punk? Who knows... Just check it out and you'll agree: FFI's fifth 7-inch EP offers eight unique and ultra imaginative minutes of truly stunning, melodic punk and fuzz rock splendour! Oh, and there's one more thing you should know: no dogs got injured during the recording of 'Fuzz Dogs'. (Though one or two of them mean mongrels may have been killed!) PRESS QUOTES: "Basically, Ford's Fuzz Inferno play Punk Rock, Garage, and even a bit of Grunge, all of the highest quality... I can't recommend this record enough. It really is that good and I can't believe that they're not better known. You don't have to listen to them, but you won't realise how empty your life has been unless you do!" (FEAR AND LOATHING - online fanzine UK reviews Jan.-June 2023) "Hans F.Ford and his friend Patrick Delabie mainly grab our attention with the flaming instrumental 'Fuzz Dogs'. This track scares the hell out of us with its bite-happy growl." (translated from review by Wim du Mortier for MUZISCENE - NL blog) "The duo seems to master the punk-garage-fuzz trick better and better. Side 1 contains two great scorchers and the two songs on the b-side are even more captivating." (translated from Luminous Dash - Belgian webzine 25th April, 2023) 'Eternal Circles Of Fuzz' is a fantastic EP containing four delightful tracks of which I enjoyed 'Fuzz Dogs' the most." (translated from CARRY'S NEW UNDERGROUND MUSIC / March 2023) "A brand new extended play release by this Dutch duo carries four insanely good compositions..."
