Destructors
Bullshit - The Lost Pre-production Rec. 1982
This release contains 10 unreleased demo tracks, recorded at Stix studio in 1982. These kind of mixes are known by producers, engineers and recording musicians as 'Monitor Mixes' and are originally not meant for public consumption! However, here we have The Destructors shaping and crafting their songs prior to them being released. Totally unedited, they include lots of ideas which didn't make it to the final stages, plus there's the added bonus of all that hilarious banter between the songs. The most unique thing here is a completely unreleased song - 'Extermination Machine' - a track that the band attempted on a couple of occasions but binned. The Destructors' strength was when they played live and despite there being no audience, this is virtually live in the studio and it sounds so full of rawness and vitality. That being the case, we would say the most special quality about these recordings is that they have managed to exist and have now escaped that great landfill of time and no longer need to gather dust in someone's storage unit...
