Ersel Hickey's solid sound comes mainly from the excellent production that Epic Records reserved for all of his sessions. Backed by Al Caiola on guitar or by an entire orchestra, Ersel sounded like few others, resulting in a masterful melting of rock'n'roll and pop which sometimes reminded what few years later would be well known as the sound of British rock'n'roll.
