All The Colours Of The Dark
Federale is a seven-piece ensemble based in Portland, OR. Spearheaded by longtime Brian Jonestown Massacre bassist Colin Hegna, the band was conceived as an outlet to channel inspiration from European '60s and '70s soundtracks, particularly the Italian spaghetti western and giallo genres. On this fourth album, originally issued in 2016, they've expanded their vision to narrative songs in the vein of Lee Hazelwood, Nick Cave and Scott Walker. Murder, revenge, regret, power and corruption are the themes that run rampant through this collection. The LP is pressed on COLOURED VINYL and includes a download for a bonus track featuring David J of Bauhaus and Love & Rockets.
