Mark De Wit is a Belgian synthesist, who makes spacethemed ambient since the mid-eighties, first as a duo under the Purfose moniker with Ruud Rondu, but since the mid-nineties solo as RHEA. RHEA is cosmic, with no compromises. And electronic. RHEA is mysterious, often dark and subtle. It is definitely no easy background music. For his 5th album, the first for Wool-E Discs/Belgian NeuMusik, Mark De Wit took his inspiration from the voyage of Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space. A voyage that took 108 minutes.
