Veli Kurki is a folk rock quartet from Pori, Finland. Their music is deeply rooted in the prog, folk and pop traditions of the '60s and the '70s, with slavic sombreness, Tove Jansson's fantastic worlds and Finnish romanticism echoing throughout. Veli Kurki's eponymous debut album was recorded in an abandoned cabin in the woods between the winters of 2010 and 2011.
