Asteroid Witch: Forged in the nucleus of a distant black hole and teleported to Portland Oregon in 2021 AD, Asteroid Witch is a conduit for the psychic communication of celestial Demi-Gods from deep space. Since first making contact, they have been transmitting cosmic doom metal from the stars to enchanted live audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest. Greenseeker: Greenseeker worships the hallowed ground of psychedelic proto-metal giants such as Rainbow, Uriah Heep and Atomic Rooster, with music steeped in classic riffs and mystical lyrics. Formed in 2019, Greenseeker hit the ground running and the band recorded its first demo, the self-titled Greenseeker, in the spring of 2020. Their demo caught the ear of the doom underground, nabbing the band a record deal which would lead to their debut full-length album 'The Wish' releasing in May of 2022 on StoneFly Records.

Previously unreleased archival studio/live recordings from 1970-71 by this lost Bay Area band. A superb cool blend of acid-rock, psychedelia and brass-rock with some outstanding guitar leads, Hammond organ and a tight rhythm section. Stow Lake was a seven piece group (named after the lake in Golden Gate Park) comprised of well-seasoned musicians from the original San Francisco psychedelic/fusion scene. Among them, we can find ace guitar player Bob Hardy (previously of hard psych group The Osgoode/Asgard); the tandem of Jeff Ervin (sax, flute) and Jean Hintermann (trumpet), both later on Aura, Bill Whiter's backing band and Hot Cider (with Dennis Geyer of A.B. Skhy); child prodigy Larry Mallarino on trombone and bass player Dave Dunaway (later of jazz fusion band Listen). Not forgetting powerful singer/organist Bob Staley. Unreleased until now, the recordings contained here were registered at top studios like McCune and Golden State Recorders. Also including are a couple of excellent quality live tracks recorded at the legendary Fillmore West in 1971, showing the band at their peak with an impressive jamming/acid-rock sound. Repress of 150 copies on red vinyl. Born in France and currently residing in Brussels, Roxane Métayer is truly a multidisciplinary artist. Learning the violin at a young age, she also developed herself as a visual artist, creating drawings, sculptures in uncommon materials as soap, and in recent years video. Her work as a musician is of an equally spontaneous nature. Though 'Éclipse Des Ocelles' is her debut album, she's been quite active the past couple of years in the duos Gebogen Ogen and Sage Alyte (with whom she released an LP on Vlek in early 2021). On her first solo LP, Roxane Métayer fully explores the sonic possibilities of the violin, field recordings and folk oriented orchestration and melodies. The violin is often taking the melodic lead, but at the same time serves a drone background, but just as much a percussion instrument. In any case: the focus is definitely on the sound itself. She's not afraid to use effects, minimal percussion, whistles and the occasional hushed vocal to expand the sonic palette to a maximum effect, resulting in multilayered, semi-improvised and subtle meanderings, gently evolving around a tight core. Comes in a lush, full color cover, drawn and designed by Roxane herself. UK psych-folk private press mega-rarity, originally released in 1975. 'Jack With A Feather' was the first vinyl album (after the private cassette only release of 'Rowdy Dowdy Day') by Spriguns Of Tolgus, just before they shortened their name to Spriguns and signed to Decca, recording two classic progressive folk-rock albums. Recorded in a cottage in the middle of nowhere, the album offers mostly traditional songs with charming homemade atmosphere, psychedelic touches, male / female vocals (by Mandy Morton), acoustic/electric guitars, mandolin, dulcimer, fiddle... One of the tracks, 'Seamus The Showman,' originally written by Tim Hart of Steeleye Span (future Spriguns producer), landed the band a deal with Decca Records. First ever official vinyl reissue. Originally released as a private cassette only release in 1974, this is the debut album of progressive folk-rock band Spriguns.
Homemade, charming folk-rock with the lovely voice of Mandy Morton, 12-string guitars, dulcimer, mandolin, fiddle... Fabulous covers of 'Let No Man Steal Your Thyme,' 'Matty Groves' and more! Formed in the early '70s, Spriguns Of Tolgus evolved from the folk duo of Mandy & Mike Morton and the scene centered around their Anchor Folk Club in Cambridge. In 1974, the band (Mike and Mandy plus Rick Thomas and Chris Russon) decided to produce a recording to raise funds for new equipment. Using a small tape recorder and mixing desk, 'Rowdy Dowdy Day' was recorded live in the dining room at the band's rented house. A small number of cassettes were produced and subsequently sold at the Anchor Folk Club. With the original cassette impossible to find now, Guerssen is glad to present a vinyl edition. "We grew up in the '60s to the sound of The Beatles; we embraced flower power and all it brought with it; and we indulged ourselves in every type of music on offer. From America came The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan, and here in the UK we celebrated our own heroes, Pentangle, Fairport Convention, The Incredible String Band and later Steeleye Span." ~Mandy Morton. Formed in 1978 in Derry, a Republican city in Northern Ireland, power-pop-punk trio The Moondogs mixed the energy of The Clash with the melodic bent of The Beatles. Gigs with The Undertones led to a 45 for Good Vibrations, plus a few more for Real Records, and by the time they cut debut LP 'That's What Friends Are For' in New York with Todd Rundgren for Sire, they were at their most accomplished; somehow, the band split mid-way through its creation, rendering the album a frozen moment in time, rather than a leg-up to world domination. A great listen and another missing piece of Northern Ireland's punk puzzle.

They had already released seven albums since their 1969 inception, and were in the studio recording their eighth album, 'Never Say Die!', the same month as this performance. With Ozzy having rejoined the band in January after a several month hiatus, Sabbath sounds energetic and more than capable of delivering a noteworthy show full of their signature raw energy, screaming guitar and howling lyrics.

Coming from Nagyvárad (Oradea) in Romania, hardrock band Metropol had to face the very hard conditions of the '70s-'80s Communist Romania. Due to their hard work, exceptional management skills and plenty of luck they became one of the leading rock acts in Romania in the late '70s. Metropol released four LPs between 1978 and 1986 and had annual country-wide tours. As a native Hungarian band, they sang in their own language, but sometimes translations were performed in ethnic Romanian cities. Due to Communist censorship, only their debut LP 'Égig Érhetne Az Ének' (The Song Could Reach The Sky) could be recorded in Hungarian. All subsequent albums had to have only Romanian versions. Kept Alive Records now proudly present their third Hungarian vinyl album. The tracks on Side A were saved in the band's archives, taken from various sources between 1971-1974. The tracks on side B were recorded live in Székelyudvarhely (Odorhei Secuiesc) in 2021.

METRO RIDERS - LOST IN REALITY
A pungent ooze emanates from the subway. As a sticky drum machine sequence rolls out like thick dark fog, ice cold synth swirls rise from the depths. Since the debut album 'Europe By Night,' one of the main references associated with Henrik Stelzer and his Metro Riders project has been that of cinema, and particularly the European genre films of the 1980s. With its seedy subject matters manifesting both in visual style and music, the vibe of that era has crystallized over time. Passed down to us from deteriorating video cassettes, it became an invaluable key to decoding our present day reality. And this is true for this album as well; Stelzer does not hide the fact that he builds heavily on that vibe; referencing it through track titles and utilizing a particular recording setup consisting of a Fostex and a reel to reel in order to achieve and recreate the feeling of those soundtracks - as heard on magnetic tape rather than vinyl. The motion picture soundtrack as an arbitrary genre definition becomes, in the hands of Stelzer, a pair of X-ray specs for him to envision a kind of music that deals in grains and contrasts rath- er than hooks and choruses. And like Roddy Piper in John Carpenter's 1988 film 'They Live,' he hands those glasses over for us to see the true face of our times. On 'Lost In Reality' Metro Riders maps out an emotional geography of the cities at night, wherein the cinematic haze becomes a tool by which we can view the cities with new eyes. Not steering away from the darker alleys nor the harsh realities of modern day politics masquerading as progress. Yet escapism, in the end, seems the only viable option. But not as an endgame, but rather a stepping stone for building a new vocabulary for an utopian language.

Schicksal is the alias of Rudi Huybrechts coming from Hoboken, a small town near Antwerp. He started experimenting with synths and drum computers in 1982. Heavily inspired by Front 242's album 'Geography', DAF's 'Alles Ist Gut' and Kraftwerk, Rudi spent lot of hours programming and composing at home with limited gear and a tape recorder. Some of these tracks appeared on local compilations but it was not until the hype of New Beat in Belgium, that Schicksal gained attention. In 1988 Rudi persuaded Marc Grouls, the resident DJ of discotheque Prestige in Antwerp, to play the track '24 hours'. That led to a record deal and Schicksal released a maxi single. This reissue includes three remixes and two other tracks.

TAJ MAHAL - THE HIDDEN TREASURES OF (2LP)
As one of the most prominent figures in late 20th century blues, singer/ multi-instrumentalist Taj Mahal played an enormous role in revitalizing and preserving traditional acoustic blues. Not content to stay within that realm, Mahal broadened his approach. He took a musicologist's interest in a multitude of folk and roots music from around the world - reggae and other Caribbean folk, jazz, gospel, R&B, zydeco, various West African styles, Latin and even Hawaiian music. The African-derived heritage of most of those forms allowed Mahal to present the blues as part of a wider musical context. The 2LP 'The Hidden Treasures Of Taj Mahal' was originally released in 2012 and a compilation of some of Mahal's finest work. LP 1 features studio tracks that were previously unreleased, recorded between 1969 and 1973. LP 2 contains the full live concert from April 18, 1970, at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Comes on 180 gram vinyl.

This show at the Tavastia in Helsinki, Finland, recorded on June 18th 1993 was his first visit to the country. 45 Grave are widely crediting with inventing the goth scene with their dark, furious and sometimes blackly funny music, but they were also known for their excellent musicianship. Their song 'Partytime' was a bona fide MTV hit after being featured in 'Return Of The Living Dead,' the 1986 movie and its soundtrack. The original 45 Grave disbanded in 1990 following the death of bassist Rob Graves. Flash forward 15 years - Dinah Cancer decides to reincarnate her legendary band and, after a few fits and starts, 45 Grave stabilizes in 2010 with what she feels is undoubtedly the best line-up since the original: O.C. guitar legend Frank Agnew (formerly of The Adolescents, T.S.O.L., etc.), bassist Brandden Blackwell and drummer Tom Coyne. While this album stays true to the horror punk sound the band is infamous for, there are also songs that show the diversity of sounds and musical styles that have influenced Dinah throughout her life. From start to finish, 'Pick Your Poison' has something that will slay everyone. Enjoy!

CURE - THREE IMAGINARY BOYS
The undisputed leaders of the early gothic scene, and a seminal band that contributed to the rise of British post-punk, the Cure recorded their debut album Three Imaginary Boys at Londons Morgan Studios and released it on May 8, 1979. After touring for almost all of 1977, the band changed their name to The Cure and rearranged their line-up with the sacking of Porl Thompson, giving birth to an unusual power trio. This line-up lasted only for their first album, making it unique in its essentially minimal sound. The year was now 1978, and the three (imaginary?) boys soon signed to Chris Parrys Fiction Label.
What you hold in your hands is the faithful re-release of the original UK pressing. After this issue, the album was released in the US with a different title (Boys Dont Cry - from one of the bands best selling singles) and a slightly different track listing.

'Interstellar Overdrive' is an instrumental composition written in 1966 and is on Pink Floyd's 1967 debut album 'The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn', clocking in at almost ten minutes in length. 'Interstellar Overdrive' was one of the first psychedelic instrumental improvisations ever recorded by a rock band. It was seen as Pink Floyd's first foray into space rock. It has also been described as an experimental and psychedelic as well as an example of proto-prog. Waters once called the song 'an abstract piece'. Not connected to pop music, a long improvisatory quality. The stereo version of the song has an organ moving from speaker to speaker, the effect is not on the mono version of the song, where it gains extra organ and guitar sounds, in fact the organ is very prominent during the first minute of the mono version -along with some special effects- but inaudible in the stereo mix. You will find both mono and stereo versions off the LP plus a rare edit (French only released at the time) and a long freak out version that clocks in at 16.49. It comes with an obi and a 2 sided 12"x12" psych print.
