'Keep On Falling' was recorded in their secret batcave, located near the entrance of the Porte d'Aubervilliers on the dark border of the 18th arrondissement of Paris, evoking the apocalyptic universe of the film 'Rue Barbare' (1984). One can notice a slight change in direction compared to their first album, perhaps with fewer club influences. In a macabre dance between shadow and light, each track on the album reveals an unexpected depth, inviting the listener to plunge into an enchanting trance. This work is more mature and fluid than their first opus, and Vox Low merges genres to create an enchanting blend of soaring krautrock, funereal post-punk, hazy dub, and minimalist rock'n'roll. While the tone may seem to harden, these scoundrels also appear in a more pop and strangely brighter light.

For nearly 20 years The Fallen Leaves have mined their influences and honed their punk pop song writing craft over four albums and countless live performances and radio sessions.
The Fallen Leaves don't do cover versions. However, they openly draw from the very best of music influences and literary geniuses, and wear them as proudly as their stage clothes. Wild Billy Childish has been recording and performing since the 1977 punk explosion. The Pop Rivets, Thee Milkshakes, The Headcoats and The Buff Medways being but a smattering of the musical outfits that Billy has been involved with part time - his day job being an internationally recognised artist and poet. The Guy Hamper Trio was formed by Billy, after a chat with his friend James Taylor (Hammond organ). They had played respectively in The Milkshakes and The Prisoners, often sharing the same bill in the early '80s. One of Billy's other groups, The Natural Born Lovers, were also the support for the early shows of The James Taylor Quartet. The Guy Hamper Trio is: Billy Childish on guitar, his wife Julie on bass and Wolf on drums, and also features James Taylor on Hammond. CTMF (The Chatham Forts) was the first name Billy came up with for a group whilst he was Head of Research for The Medway Military Research Group - investigating the Medway Fortifications (as well as being an Apprentice Stonemason at Chatham Dockyard, Kent, 1976). But it wasn't until 2013 that Billy got around to utilising the name. CTMF also features his wife Julie on bass/vocals and Wolf Howard on drums (both Wolf and Julie playing with Billy in previous incarnations over the years).
The Guy Hamper Trio provide low end, blues-infused, instrumental mayhem, for those unafraid of a large chimney stack perhaps falling and crushing their new car, or at least maximum rhythm 'n' punk. CTMF, described by Billy as 'the epitome of modern: the sound of yesterday, tomorrow!.' This fully-loaded twin-spin single offers two renditions of Billy's '100 Yds Of Crash Barrier,' provided by two of the leading ensembles active on the current moronic music scene. Drummer Dan Taylor, who put forward an idea of recording a song, explains; The Action are, quite simply, ineffably ace, and how they never had huge success back in the day is beyond belief. 'Something To Say' is one of a batch of songs which were only really recorded as demos around '67 and '68, for a possible LP which was never released at the time. They surfaced in the mid-'90s. For me, a number of the songs have a real melancholy feel about them, which I love, but still with the trademark fabulous Action vocals and outstanding musicianship. 'Something To Say' is my favourite, and when we were discussing tracks to record at our next studio session, I put it forward, mainly for selfish reasons as I wanted to have the chance to play it, but the boys all agreed straight away as they also think it's a smashing track. We've liaised with The Action's drummer Roger Powell throughout the process, including on the sleeve art design too. I like to think we've done justice to the beautiful songwriting and playing of him and his Action bandmates, but added our own personality to it, in particular bringing out the funkiness of the song without smothering the delicate mournfulness of it. The track was recorded by Morgan Nicholls, former bass-player of late '80s/early '90s indie-pop big hitters The Senseless Things and who has gone on to work with Muse, Gorillaz, Lily Allen and The Who. Morgan engineered and produced the tracks and created the accompanying video for the song. Morgan is the son of Billy Nicholls, a solo artist on Andrew Loog Oldham's trailblazing Immediate Records label in the '60s. 'Something To Say' is backed with an original Veras composition, a slice of new-wave-tinged power-pop recorded in the same session and entitled 'What I Got When I Get Away.'

Formed on a grim council estate in Edinburgh in 1979 by singer Terry Buchan and guitarist Stevie Ross with bassist Alan Paget and drummer Andy McNiven, The Exploited became one of the most popular and notorious of all hardcore punk bands. When they signed to Secret Records in 1981 for debut LP 'Punks Not Dead', Terry had been replaced by his ex-soldier brother Wattie (who became group leader thereafter), with guitarist Big John Duncan, drummer Dru Stix, and bassist Gary McCormack; by the time 'Let's Start A War...' was released (1983), the group featured Wattie's brother Willie on drums and Billy Dunn on bass, while 'Horror Epics' (1985) had Wayne Tyas on bass and Karl "Egghead" Morris on guitar. That same line-up is featured on 'Live At The Whitehouse', a riveting and lengthy performance recorded in Washington, DC in April 1985; highlights includes the opening 'Let's Start A War', dedicated to Argentina, a swear-ridden 'God Save The Queen', a take of 'Rival Leaders' aimed at Reagan and Thatcher, 'I Hate You' (with a reverse Jello Biafra reference), a castigating 'Daily News' aimed at fanzine Maximum Rock n Roll, and a rousing 'Punks Not Dead' encore.

EXPLOITED - LIVE AT THE WHITEHOUSE (SPLATTER)
Repress of 300 copies on splatter vinyl. Formed on a grim council estate in Edinburgh in 1979 by singer Terry Buchan and guitarist Stevie Ross with bassist Alan Paget and drummer Andy McNiven, The Exploited became one of the most popular and notorious of all hardcore punk bands. When they signed to Secret Records in 1981 for debut LP 'Punks Not Dead', Terry had been replaced by his ex-soldier brother Wattie (who became group leader thereafter), with guitarist Big John Duncan, drummer Dru Stix, and bassist Gary McCormack; by the time 'Let's Start A War...' was released (1983), the group featured Wattie's brother Willie on drums and Billy Dunn on bass, while 'Horror Epics' (1985) had Wayne Tyas on bass and Karl "Egghead" Morris on guitar. That same line-up is featured on 'Live At The Whitehouse', a riveting and lengthy performance recorded in Washington, DC in April 1985; highlights includes the opening 'Let's Start A War', dedicated to Argentina, a swear-ridden 'God Save The Queen', a take of 'Rival Leaders' aimed at Reagan and Thatcher, 'I Hate You' (with a reverse Jello Biafra reference), a castigating 'Daily News' aimed at fanzine Maximum Rock n Roll, and a rousing 'Punks Not Dead' encore.

KLASSE KRIMINALE - FACCIA A FACCIA
One of the longest running punk bands in Italy, Klasse Kriminale were founded in 1985 by their leader Marco Balestrino, a singer, fanzine-editor and label-manager whose role in the skinhead scene over the past years has been somewhat crucial. Influenced by early reggae and '82-era UK Oi! and punk, but following in the tracks of Italian skinhead pioneers Nabat and Rough (90% of their songs are typically sung in Italian), Klasse Kriminale's career has been long and scattered with success. Originally released on the New Rose sublabel Division Nada (run by Berurier Noir's singer Francois), and long out of print, it was about time that their classic 'Faccia A Faccia' from 1991 was available on vinyl again, with its original and extremely distinctive Alteau artwork and 3 bonus tracks. Comes on red vinyl.

The redwood and pine-surrounded cabin studio where Banhart was "constantly listening to The Grateful Dead" somehow birthed something slick, modernist, city pop-adjacent and Eno-esque. Banhart's 11th record, it's the actualisation of a "precious friendship" with the acclaimed solo artist, multi-instrumentalist, producer and Mexican Summer stable-mate Cate Le Bon - a coming together prophesied by the mirror-image titles of their early solo albums (Banhart's 2002 'Oh Me Oh My' to Le Bon's 2009 'Me Oh My') and a tenderness built on crude haircuts ("we finally met, soon after she was cutting my hair with a fork and that was that") and home-made tattoos - but never previously translated into the recording studio. "It's about transmuting despair into gratitude, wounds into forgiveness, and grief into praise," - the product of a ritualistic creative practice that melts down and re-casts as it mulls, the stuff of sadness beautified as it changes shape - culminating in a record that "sounds like getting a very melancholic massage, or weeping, but in a really nice outfit... if I'm going to cry, I wanna do it in my best dress."

Rose's only companion on stage was long-time Residents collaborator Joshua Raoul Brody on piano. A one-man cabaret performance consisting largely of re-interpreted renditions of popular songs from the mid-to-late 20th century, interpreted by Rose in the guise of Sam The Stranger, it was the first Residents-related performance piece to be credited to an individual member of the group.

Re-release after of another true CLASSIC by Muslimgauze, originally released in 1999 by the label BSI in Portland/USA, and NEVER since re-released! This much demanded first
ever re-release comes in completely new artwork, and with all tracks re-mastered especially for this edition. The picture disc comes in special die-cut sleeve, limited to 500 copies. The album was recorded in 1998, some tracks are "pure" Muslimgauze and some are re-mixes of tracks from Systemwide's 'Sirius' CD. Nearly all of the tracks have hand percussion in varying tempos and intensities and at least 1/2 make use of electronic noise sources. The sound is very crisp and clean, extremely well produced, recorded, and nicely varied throughout the length of
the album!

Little we know about this long lost gem coming from the outskirts of the Commonwealth. But as far as we know, beautiness lies inside. That is the case of the sole album of mysterious Australian band Extradition. Released in a small run on local independent label Sweet Peach in 1971, the self titled album stands as one of the most accurate acid folk renditions outside the UK realm. Formerly a three piece Extradition struggle on their personal behavior forging a rural set up that pursue the 'think green' revolution. It could be the English folk revival or the West Coast flower power, but the album introduces a different state of mind, far away from the chaotic suburbs of the counter culture. Lost on the isle, the acoustic set up of the band brings joy and happiness, a new age that reflects the multiple essence of the four elements. While the opener 'A Water Song' brings to mind the course of a small river 'A Love Song' sets the mood for a long lost medieval folk tale. Acoustic guitar, small percussion, natural found sound and the celestial voice of Shayna Carlin (also member of cult band Tully, a weirdo surf-psychedelic affair) all of the elements above literally conjure for an ambient album before the definition was fully embraced by a massive audience.

Electro-acoustic souvenirs, ghostly apparition on the sunset strip, the LSD culture was here to stay and the four piece never let you down with a bunch of dark ballads and rough mid tempo that sounds like an off kilter version of The Doors. A bad trip on a lost island, depicted by the freshness of the sixties beat, the pure essence of the early garage sound and a more poetic and affordable songwriting: almost a ten years fast-forward into the psychedelic culture.

Reissued on 180-GRAM VINYL with remastered audio, here's the 1969 debut-album by the band founded by Kevin Coyne, former Bonzo Dog Band bassist Dave Clague and pianist/guitarist Nick Cudworth. Standing on the verge of british blues, folk and rawk'n'roll, Siren could have been easily labeled as the British answer to Canned Heat, but there's even more. 'And I Wonder' is clearly an anticipation of what would happen next with the solo career of Coyne, though more focused on acid-folk inspired songwriting. The LP was originally released by John Peel's Dandelion label.
