Albinö Rhino are a psychedelic doom rock trio from Helsinki, Finland. The band has released 2 albums and various EPs over the years. They recorded this amazing 35 minutes continuous piece after jamming it at the practice room mostly improvised for years, in between the heavier pieces that Albinö Rhino is known for and jumped to the studio when the arrangement felt right. One of the parts is written just one day before entering the beautiful Suomenlinnan Studio with the talented sound wizard Ilari Larjosto. The album was recorded live in one day with some additional overdubs recorded later at Helsinki Music Studio, where the album was also mixed. The opus was mastered at Virtalähde Mastering. Dr Space, Olli Laamanen and Mikko Heikinpoika added their magic when the core was built. The piece moves from acoustic spacey music to heavy desert rock and doom with ease and grace and has an amazing flow to create one hell of a good psychedelic ride. Limited to 153 copies on silver vinyl.

The music on this album is highly inspired by Tangerine Dream, Neu, Cluster, Eno, etc. We feel the music is highly challenging at times but also utterly unique in this world. Enjoy, open your ears and your mind to something strange and wonderful.

Dulces Años ("Sweet Years") were a talented young Spanish band formed in the late Sixties by four 14 years-old guys. They were guided by Flix Arribas (drummer of famous band Los Pekenikes) who turned them onto a kind of Spanish Monkees. Between 1970 and 1974 they released five 45s, scoring a number one with their first single, "Almudena", an outstanding little number much in the vein of Los Brincos, full of heavenly vocal harmonies and lushy orchestrations, written by genious composer and guitar player Tony Marn. But Dulces Años also recorded some of the best but lesser known pop gems from Spain during the 70s. Here you'll find exquisite baroque pop-sike ("El Lobo Feroz"), superb sunshine-pop ("Voy Buscando"), progressive pop ("Caretas de Carton"), ace harmony pop ("Lady Love", "Llegara el Otono). 'Be As Good To Others As They Are Not To You' starts as a mystery. A piece of tangible vinyl with often transient and evanescent content; sound appearing and fading such that you can lose certainty as to whether it emanates from the record or from out in the street. The music measured and atmospheric; a rural psychedelia on the cusp between folk and country; gnomic lyrics, meditating on loss as a stage in the cycle of nature, with a strong impression of a patient, unforced gestation.
The sleeve has a stark beauty; the front being a fine piece of John Hurford frontier art, akin to that of Jeff Horsey's 'Rattlesnakes And Heartstrings.' There is no legend and nothing on the spine either. The back shows two rustic, bearded gentlemen with small guitar, a pump organ, and an ancient zither; there are song titles but they're barely decipherable.
This pair are Jens Unossun and Arne Jonasson. Jens is a founder member of The Spacious Mind, a notable Swedish ensemble who, for nigh on three decades, have been releasing memorable psychedelic music. They famously accompanied Tom Rapp, of Pearls Before Swine, at his Terrastock appearance in London in 1999. Jonasson is a regular collaborator with Jens on such side-trips as The Holy River Family Band. They're the sole performers on six of the eight tracks here; Jens singing and playing keyboards, Arne on various stringed instruments, and both adding percussion. The other two - 'Sweet Home Blues (Redneck Dumbfuck Blues)' and 'Green Was The Day (Bottom Of The Well)' - see them joined by the Head Country Hoedowners - Snosun and Aarnson Jones, Black Owl, and Dave Hell - and the presence of these acclaimed purveyors of outlaw mutation boogie signal changes in mood. The Jones Brothers also serve as producers and arrangers.

The legendary folk duo of Erika and Károly were the voice of a generation, pioneers of a musical movement born in Transylvania in the early 1970s. They became the best known and most loved folk singers, touring extensively throughout Romania and Hungary. Erika and Károly formed their duo in 1970. 'Kettospont' was their first LP, released in 1978. Later they formed a band, performing and recording under the name of Taltos. Despite of the high demand, only a few thousand copies were ever pressed, due to Communist political restrictions, making the LP an instant rarity. Under Europe's most oppressive communist regime, the creation of this record was quite adventurous. The end result, though, is an album that stands the test of time. It represents not only the highest quality folk music of the once-flourishing ethnic Hungarian pop scene in Romania, but without any doubt, also a valuable part of Hungarian folk music in general. This New York based duo released their one and only LP in 1968 on Columbia Masterworks, just months after Zappa released 'Lumpy Gravy' in California. Although the 2 projects have some superficial similarity in structure, it would seem that this later LP must have been made (at least largely), without any knowledge of the Zappa masterpiece. Another reference point might be The United States Of America who also released their LP in 1968. Originally released simultaneously with Terry Riley's 'In C' and Walter Carlos' 'Switched On Bach', this new edition of Marks and Lebzelters complex 50 minute heady mix of spoken word, electronics and experimental psychedelia is taken from the master tapes and consists of a suite of 13 tracks. Where 'Lumpy Gravy' uses orchestral settings, here we have a combination of theatrical text and sung vocals by the Gregg Smith Singers, and on one track a full baptist gospel choir praising the virtues of baked beans. The core of this album though, stems from interviews conducted by J Marks for his book, also called 'Rock And Other Four Letter Words' (essentially a book of photos by Linda Eastman, soon to be McCartney, with quotes from many of the leading US and UK rock bands of the time). Included on this LP are numerous cut up and processed excerpts of these interviews with many young rock stars including Pete Townshend, Jimmy Page, Brian Wilson, Grace Slick etc. Add to this concoction, dense arrangements of tape loops, psychedelic rock, electronics and a huge guest list of contributors including jazz players Alan Silva, Andrew Cyrille, Roswell Rudd and Burton Greene and the scope of this project begins to be seen. Its hard to believe this is their first time in a studio, such is their confident musicality and bold handling of these varied talents. No doubt much of this is due to the helping hand of the in house engineers and John McClure who produced this, along with 100s of other recordings at CBS, including the Harry Partch records. After this album Shipen Lebzelter (1942-1986) went on to found The Trees (Community), who released a legendary Christian folk album in 1975. Marks (1930-2001) subsequently changed his name in the early 70s to Jamake Highwater, which is how he is best remembered; writing books, making documentaries and setting up his own foundation for Indian art and culture. This long overdue reissue comes in a standard sleeve with a 4 page insert that includes all the original artwork and more. Limited to 500 copies.

Previously out in 2018 on CD and digital on Dreamlord Recordings, this wonderful slice of nostalgic electronica is receiving a well deserved vinyl outing courtesy of those fine dudes at Up In Her Room Records. N.T. - ATOMIC SYSTEM
The album 'Ut,' with a heavier sound, closer to hard rock caused the split of the New Trolls with the two leaders Di Palo and De Scalzi going in two different ways. A legal struggle followed, for the use of the famous name, and while Di Palo with the other three chose the Ibis way, in a hard rock direction, Vittorio De Scalzi formed a new band, called N.T. to avoid contractual problems, and with a more polished sound. To help their fans to recognize this band as the real New Trolls, early copies of the album had a sticker on the sleeve covering the N.T. name with the full New Trolls brand. N.T. released their first album 'Atomic System' in 1973, a nice album with a large use of horn instruments, De Scalzi himself playing flute and keyboards along with guitar. Limited edition 180 gram black vinyl.

The band Nukli from the UK were founded in the late '80s and
released several cassette releases and only one official CD,
'Time Factory', back in 1997. While the band have been playing live all these years and released a few live recordings this is the first studio album since 1997 and the band's first ever vinyl release. The songs on this album were recorded at the Foel Studio in Wales back in 2012, so they took their time to get this finished and released but it was worth the wait! This LP features 12 mostly long tracks with a really great positive message. They also mix in some interesting samples between tracks. Overall, the tracks just flow like good aged wine, with some nice solid bass and drum grooves over which Kev Hegan plays some fantastic and cool guitar with a nice use of effects pedals at times. He also plays some keys on a few tracks and they mix in some spacey sounds here and there as well. 'Foel Funk' is a bonus track only on the vinyl, not on the CD or Bandcamp! Limited to 200 copies on orange (Side A & B) and light green (Side C & D) vinyl.

A lot of the material has a funky nature, but it is a very diverse album with a nice chillout sitar number and a lots of space rock!! Some of the tracks have been edited for the vinyl edition. What is the object with the most sensational magical and alchemical properties, if not glass? A permeable membrane that filters the real through the unconscious, an access portal with divinatory and therapeutic qualities, the glass has always been seen as the guardian of daring allegories and symbols. Aware of this, the artist Roberto Campadello conceived 'The Game Of Persona', in the context of an installation for the XII Biennale of Sao Paolo in 1973. Discovering the visual properties of gilded glass, he investigated the effects of the overlay of images, a mysterious moment of transparency in which two single people melt into the reflection of the image, creating a single fantastic person. Thus, his "Casa Dourada", also became the space for "Intro-nautical Journeys": meditations and cosmic dances. The history of this LP (originally published in a 10" box set in 1975) starts right to support those collective initiation sessions. Each track is inspired by an I Ching element (Mountain, Heaven, Earth, Water, Lake, Wind) which represented a primary source of inspiration for Campadello. The dreamlike and occult sound not only suggest the atmosphere of that experience but still reveal the echoes of the best season of the Brazilian rock and Tropicalismo. The music has been composed and played by Roberto Campadello and the Brazilian super-star guitarist Luis Carlini, the leader of Rita Lee's band Tutti Frutti. Fuzz guitars, dirty percussion, Echoplex delays, are the perfect elements for the final trip into your own consciousness. Two very different albums by two almost totally different bands, is all that Procession have left us. This band from Turin made their first album 'Frontiera' in 1972 for the small Help label (an RCA subsidiary that also released Quella Vecchia Locanda's first album), a good album that can be easily
described as an hard prog LP. With a line-up of two guitars, bass and drums, and the original high pitched voice of singer Gianfranco Gaza, the band plays very good hard rock with some progressive influences and acoustic passages. Not particularly original, the album has its moments and it's particularly rare.
The band reappeared in 1974 with a new line-up and a new recording deal, this time it's Fonit that releases their second album 'Fiaba.' A mature work, much more original than their first and more in a symphonic vein with large use of sax and flute with guest appearances by drummer Francesco Froggio
Francica (from Raccomandata Con Ricevuta Di Ritorno), Delirium's keyboard player Ettore Vigo and Circus 2000 female singer Silvana Aliotta, while drummer Roberto Balocco (ex-Capsicum Red) helped the group in concert. Despite a good live activity Procession never gained the success they deserved and despite two good albums they broke up in 1975. Comes on 180 gram clear vinyl.

Limited 3LP version. Rustic Hinge & The Provincial Swimmers were a short-lived experimental music venture in the summer of 1970, based in Ilsington Farmhouse, near Puddletown, Dorset (later to be known as Jabberwocky Studios) that evolved out of the ashes of Arthur Brown's Puddletown Express. "The West Country can be a strange and mad place. It surely was in those wild counter-cultural days as the '60s slid into the '70s. Arriving in Bristol in late 1971 for what proved a five-year stretch I crossed paths - in cider pubs, occult bookshops, venues, and record shops - with all manner of characters touched and changed by their doings during those times. Similar doings likely rubbed off and left their mark on me. This extraordinary artefact hails from that milieu, fleshes out a tale that's been retold a few times in various under-the-radar settings, and given three of the central protagonists are now dead perhaps now tells the definitive story. It rescues lost music and presents it as it was originally meant to be, before temporary silliness and pique took hold, making good on renewed but shelved intentions. It's music weird, crazy, and magnificent, possessed of truly creative, psychedelic madness. To frame it as an English 'Trout Mask Replica' is on the money, though along with the Magic Captain, Bartok and Stockhausen will be pleased to hear they are cited as influences, and there's elements of post-war radio comedy too." ~Bucketfull Of Brains. Sides E and F are a limited pressing 'subscription only' album which plays from the middle outwards (yes, really!) comprising the band's original intended 1970 one-sided disc of their epic 'Tea On The Lawn 4 4.' Please note all of the music on this 'bonus' album (with unique sleeve art by John Hurford) is contained elsewhere on the 2LP set but here it is presented in it's intended sequence.

"Alessio Ferrari has let himself wander further into the wild cosmos of German progressives, French soundtrack psych, and Middle Eastern raw '70s rock." ~Raven Sings The Blues. Upupayama is the musical persona of Alessio Ferrari, an Italian multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who lives in a small mountain village above the city of Parma. Upupayama's music is rooted strongly in Eastern and Western folk traditions, an approach that Ferrari blends with his own modern sensibilities and style. In addition to playing guitar, bass, keyboards, and drums, Ferrari himself also incorporates a number of other instruments into his sound, including sitar, erhu, flute, and a variety of percussion instruments. For Ferrari, Upupayama's 2020 debut was all about the journey. The album served a series of musical vignettes that visited and weaved its way through a succession magical settings. 'The Golden Pond,' conversely, is all about location. Inspired by his frequent visits to a small lake near his mountain home, Ferrari intentionally focused on the details of the place he inhabited, a practice he decided would translate well with his approach to writing music. This is something Ferrari feels is best exemplified with the album's opening companion pieces, 'Cuckoos From The House Of Golden Tin' and 'Entering The Time Of Wilderness.' 'The Golden Pond' also continues Ferrari's practice of using "invented language" in his lyrics. Ferrari wants his voice to be heard as if it were an additional instrument, a tool that does not convey specific messages. His goal is to allow the listener to assign personal meaning to the music. He says, "I want my incorporating invented language is a way of breaking down the barriers that are sometimes created by language, by having to define something at all costs. Ferrari adds, "I think one of my unconscious dreams is not to have to define anything, but just to be carried away by our feelings."

The Beatles were at their peak as a live band in mid-1964. On Side One and part of Side Two is the whole of the 5pm September 3rd show at the Indiana State Fair, which was broadcast live on WIFE-AM. Parts of the concert were filmed for a TV special called 'Our Fair Beatles'. The Beatles played a second show in the evening that was set up hastily outside the venue on a dirt race track in front of the grandstand. This album also features a storming short set from the NME Poll Winners Concert on 26th April 1964. Listen to John chuckle as he screams at the wrong place in 'You Can't Do That'. All in excellent sound quality..

Formed at the tail end of 1996, The Embrooks were initially influenced by the moody, minor key mid-'60s US garage common to the New England area, and made an LP and 2 singles in that
style. They quickly changed course towards the more aggressive sounds coming out of the UK and Europe in that same period, a transitional style which came to known as freakbeat. Here, the band found their true calling, and delivered their highest profile LP, 'Our New Day' for Bomp' Voxx imprint. The follow-up LP, 'Yellow Glass Perspections' saw the band incorporating more psychedelic elements to their sound, but still very much rooted in the aggressive mod-rock that had served them well. As external commitments became ever more time-consuming, the band amicably parted in mid-2005, but now they're back!! Strong as ever, a little wider round the waist and greyer around the gills (the 'Expanding Waistline Inevitable' as a friend was kind enough to point out!), but ready to knock your socks off! 2016's comeback 'Nightmare' 45 saw the group on top form, and now they're ready to deliver their first full-length LP since reconvening! Recorded on 8-track tape at State Records' custom-built North Down Sound studio, 'We Who Are' is a distillation and refinement of everything the band has done up to this point, incorporating elements of garage, mod psych, folk rock, hard-edged freakbeat... however you choose to define or label it, The Embrooks have IT!!

It's a twist of fate that it took the first rock'n'roll band that reached star status in Hungary 48 years to release their first album. At the beginning of the 1960s the band was the most popular among the few Hungarian rock'n'roll groups, their shows' atmosphere was often quite heated. The band existed until the early '80s except for some short pauses and with a few changes in the lineup. The first Scampolo album represents the period between 1968 and 1970 when they left their rock'n'roll roots behind and played a repertoire that was unique in Hungary. It consisted partly of British and American progressive rock and soul hits, partly of their own compositions. These were collected from studio, rehearsal and concert recordings.

The Sparkles were associated with the garage-band and psychedelic rock scene of 1960s Texas, as epitomized by their classic underground hit 'No Friend Of Mine'. The line-up changed few times before 1962, and Stanley Smith finally recruit Harold "Lucky" Floyd (drums and vocals), Donnie Roberts (guitar) and Bobby Smith (bass). Their first recording was the single 'U.T.' under the small label Caron. This third incarnation proved a great hit among the clubs of West Texas, notably the Music Box and The Village Swinger. Indeed, in 2000, local legend Joe Ely described them as the "city's best rock'n'roll band" in the history of the Lubbock music scene published by Texas Monthly. Interestingly, The Sparkles boasted a pair of drummers, with one, the flamboyant Harold Floyd, also
lending his voice to their performances. 1966 would constitute a turning point for The Sparkles. Larry Parks -drummer for Roy Orbison, turned producer in Nashville, Tennessee- invited them to sign with Hickory Records, the historic music label founded
by Roy Acuff and Fred Rose in 1954. The band came up with 'The Hip', which proved an immediate hit in Austin and extremely popular within the fraternity scene at the University of Texas. On a roll, The Sparkles then recorded 'Something You Said' followed by 'Jack And The Beanstalk'. In 1967, The Sparkles, already a decade old, recorded their chef-d'oeuvre 'No Friend Of Mine', with Nunn's raging guitar riffs and Floyd's remarkably tense vocals. This fiery tour de force would be consecrated by its inclusion on the first CD set of the legendary compilation 'Nuggets: Original Artyfacts From The First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968'. Following their final single, 'Hipsville 29 B.C.', for Hickory Records, The Sparkles once again entered rocky waters, with Nunn and Holt finally deciding to throw in the towel in 1968. Floyd, Smith and Marriot immediately set sail for California, along the way renaming their group The Pearly Gate. This brief interlude would include a handful of appearances on the ABC sitcom 'Judd, For The Defense'. Legend has it, they were also scheduled to perform before Bobby Kennedy the evening of his tragic
assassination on June 5th 1968... Returning to Texas, Floyd, Smith and Marriot resurrected The Sparkles, bringing into the fold Steve Weisberg, future guitarist for John Denver. But Floyd's departure in 1975 for California to join Red Wilder Blue spelled the end of this group's 15-year musical odyssey, a tumultuous journey typical of such modest rock'n'roll heroes posthumously crowned by multiple thematic compilations. However, the one you're now holding constitutes the very first anthology dedicated to these incredible Texans.

During the mid '60s there was a spread of beat groups in Britain who found inspiration in the Mod style and its music - whether that being American soul, Tamla or R'n'B, or the home grown sounds of the Who and the Small Faces. Sourced from acetates and private pressings, 'Raw Mod' unearths over a dozen bands who never got as far as a recording contract but nonetheless entered a studio to record their mod blended with R'n'B and blue eyed soul with some cool beaters and gritty ravers. First-time reissue of a Belpop cult-classic. Aroma Di Amore is/was Belgium's premier cult band. Since the early eighties ADA innovatively combined electronics with rock. With a mix of razor-sharp Flemish lyrics and unconventional song structures the group earned a cult status in Belgium and abroad. At the beginning of 1986, Peeters and Meulen return, and Andrea Smits leaves the group. Luc Pillards is hired as a replacement, and when Ludo Camberlin presents himself as a new label boss and producer (Anything But Records), they start recording their first full album for the label. 'Harde Feiten' kicks in immediately, and the group is back up to cruising speed. In the first week of release, the record even appears in the bestseller list of the record stores.

The High Span is a musical project based in Rochester, Kent and features three experienced, yet unjaded, musical souls in Kevin Younger (of Armitage Shanks, Ye Ascoyne d'Ascoynes, Subway Sect, Baby Birkin, The Speed of Sound and others), Mark Aitken (of Ye Ascoyne d'Ascoynes, The Men From Memphis, Bob Collins & The Full Nelson, These Guilty Men and others) and Jimmy Moore (of Pod, One Free Fall and revered Canadian alt-rockers Rusty). Sarah Post also joins them on backing vocals on the album and at live shows too. Born Samantha Owens in Liverpool, Jones began her recording career in The Vernon Girls, a female singing group affiliated with the Vernon Football Pools company; they created a popular Beatles tribute album in 1964 with producer Charles Blackwell, who launched Jones's solo career that same year. Blackwell producer a debut solo LP for Ascot in 1968; two years later, Larry Page released sophomore set 'A Girl Named Sam', with Austrian wunderkind Mark Wirtz casting her in the broad realm of pop, though most of the songs describe romantic failures. Movietone were part of the Bristol scene in the 1990s that contained Flying Saucer Attack, Third Eye Foundation and Crescent. Band members from all three of these bands played in Movietone, with Kate Wright being the main songwriter. Signed to Planet Records, Movietone did their first John Peel Session a few weeks after the release if their debut single 'She Smiled Mandarine Like' in 1994. They went on to do three Peel Sessions in total between 1994-1997 and moved to Domino Records and Drag City in 1997. These sessions do not exist online and have never previously been heard by anyone other than those who listened to the original broadcasts! As Movietone are no longer making music (they have been superseded by 1000 Dawns), these archive recordings are even more special. They contain early or alternative versions of songs from Movietone's first three records:'Movietone', 'Day And Night' and 'The Blossom Filled Streets', along with a song from their pre-Movietone days as Lynda's Strange Vacation. The last session is unique because Matt Elliott (Third Eye Foundation) is playing on them - he had left the band by the time that the album was recorded and released 3 years later.

POD - THE EARTH'S ROTATION
This is not the album that Pod set out to make... in late summer of 2019, former Singing Loin Chris Broderick, ("one of England's finest folk songwriters" Louder Than War, 2022) approached Stuart Turner (These Guilty Men, Stuart Turner and the Flat Earth Society, etc.) to see if he would be interested in writing songs and bits together. Maybe for a band, or something. And once a week for the best part of four months that's what they did. Happy with their efforts, Stuart started putting a band together for what was now called Pod. Nick Rice (The Treasures of Mexico, Stuart Turner and the Flat Earth Society, Groovy Uncle, etc) and Jimmy Moore (The High Span, Rusty) were volunteered into the fold. The pandemic put a hold on proceedings, which were further complicated by pressing concerns about Chris's health. Once restrictions started to ease, and Chris feeling better than he had in a long time, Pod was reborn. A few quick rehearsals and into the studio. All the songs first takes. Rachel Lowrie (Rachel Lowrie, The Senior Service) joined for vocal harmonies on the hoof and it was all sounding so alive. Five songs finished inside two days. They were ready to rehearse, record and mix the next batch. Except they couldn't. Chris was ill again. A different illness and one he was not going to recover from... Chris sadly died at the beginning of 2022, leaving the Pod album unfinished. Promises had been made to him that everything would be seen through and this album is part of those promises. Stuart took over Chris's vocal parts for the remainder of the album, with Vicky Price drafted in to sweeten the mix. Previous kitchen table (Chris') phone recordings were added to keep as close to the desired recordings as possible. And so now we have the '80s alt-pop influenced 'The Earths Rotation;' an album of the songs Chris Broderick and Stuart Turner wrote over one winter, sung by Chris Broderick and Stuart Turner over one longer winter. But as we tell ourselves, winters long sobbing is behind you.

'A Ride', like all the best concept albums, takes you on a journey. This one concerns the last three days of an American runaway's life. Part road trip, part engrossing mystery, part search for redemption, it's the fictional tale of a troubled man whose past comes back to haunt him, as in the best Americana/alt-country tradition. 'The Fault is Mine' describes the moment the anonymous fugitive protagonist of 'A Ride' acknowledges his faults and accepts his burden. But even in his darkest hour, he can see a glimmer of light and hope in the distance. The origins of 'A Ride' go back to 2015. On tour in the US, Reynolds took in the shifting landscapes, the people he met and their stories. All of this fed into the album he recorded at the all-analogue TUP Studio in Brescia, near Milan. Reynolds played almost all of the instruments himself and co-produced 'A Ride' with longtime collaborator Bruno Barcella.
Via eleven chronologically-sequenced songs, we travel with him. There are epiphanies and dream sequences, drunken dive-bar nights and chats with Jesus and Lucifer. As the narrator battles with his own dark side, it is ultimately we, the listeners, who must weigh up and flesh out his story. But it's important to remember that, on 'A Ride', things may not always be as they seem. This is a really great album that could remind you of the old Bon Iver, Damien Jurado, Phosphorescent or even William Elliot Whitmore.

First-time reissue of this 1987 sleeper rural rock classic. The Sidewinders formed in the spring of 1985. The group released 'Cuacha!' in 1987 (and again in 1988), and subsequently signed to RCA/Mammoth Records, with whom they released two full-length albums, 1989's 'Witchdoctor' and 1990's 'Auntie Ramos' Pool Hall.' 'Witchdoctor' cracked the lower echelons of the Billboard 200 on the strength of two rock radio hits. The band scored exposure on MTV and VH1 and embarked on a worldwide tour. But the Sidewinders were soon sidelined due to legal problems stemming from a challenge over the band's name. As the Sand Rubies, they released an album on Polydor/Atlas in 1993 (at one point, Pearl Jam served as their opening act). However, the strain of the legal tussle led the Sand Rubies to dissolve during a tour in 1993, just as two other Arizona rock bands, Gin Blossoms and The Refreshments, attracted mainstream attention.
