Reinterpretations of songs from the '60s and '70s by Beautify Junkyards from Portugal, keeping the roots but at the same time taking new directions under the influence of the present times where societies, technology and artistic creation are at a boiling point. The post-production of the album was held at the Electric Garden studio in Lisbon, where the sound was transported in various directions like branches extending in between delays, synthesizers, acoustic guitars and vocals in reverb, forming a dense forest with multiple forms and foliage colours.

The 10 tracks on the album revolve around temptation and denial. They are stories from the downside of life about the sins of the past and the consequences of unleashing an inner drive for destruction. Front man Asger Westh's lyrics are saturated by personal struggle and a restless energy and on 'Satellite Heart' they are launched upon an ocean of screaming guitars by a band playing with a nervous edge.

INCOMING CEREBRAL OVERDRIVE - LE STELLE: A VOYAGE ADRIFT
Born at the dawn of the new millennium in Italy, I.C.O. (Incoming Cerebral Overdrive) are heavy to the core. The end of the first decade of the new millennium marks a new step in the evolution of the band. The title of the new chapter is: "Le Stelle: A Voyage Adrift". The concept, an imaginary, dark and lonely trip adrift discovered in a diary. Emotions of fear, anger and irrational excitement are expressed, waiting for a certain epilogue into desolation, a final annihilation in a cosmic fusion. Sonically, this new album is a journey that intersects and expands in a huge, deep and at times, claustrophobic monolith. Heavy cavernous guitars with back-breaking riffs, multifaceted, effect laden vocals and rhythmic notes plunge into a psychedelic mix of unpredictable sounds of distress and madness that we, the recipient, can only succumb to. The album ultimately analyses the irrational, insane feelings of the man who face a journey toward the unknown. A diary has been found, but we cant say anything more than whats written inside. Impossible to identify the places (real or not, who knows) that he explored, what shines through his words are his fears, sensations and frustrations fed by a sense of belonging to a chaotic, incontrollable, and compromised whole. The participation of Urlo and Poia of Ufomammut, both during the composition and the recording sessions opens the project to a new light. Recorded in Rome at Locomotore Studio by Lorenzo Stecconi (already soundlord for such important discs as Ufomammut and Lento).

J.K.S. - UNIVERSE BEYOND UNIVERSE
Jorma Saarikangas is a Finnish musician and poet from Lahti. He used to record these weird, experimental and psychedelic soundscapes in the '70s at home using primitive gear and has been releasing these previously unheard home-recordings on limited edition vinyl issues since 2004. This fourth and final(?) part in the series was recorded between 1974 and 1976 after the 'Ancient' trilogy. The album contains mostly cosmic synth experiments, but you also get some spoken word, a strange manipulated howling voice, vocals and a little bit of guitar. The best release in this series is very psychedelic and odd. Limited to 250 copies.

La Femme was born during the X years in Biarritz, when Sasha and Marlon started composing on their guitars music they recorded on Garage Band. Together they ride surfboards, pianos
and synthetiseur as they gave a try to various styles, from '60s yéyé French pop to Californian surf music. Marlon moved to Paris, and there he met Sam, who played bass. Together they formed SOS Mademoiselle along with Olivier Peynot, and played vintage French rock, as Sasha was practising his scales in reverb feed surf band Les Redoutables! After getting his grade, Sasha joined his friends in Paris, where they discovered French cold wave and synth pop, Marie & Les Garcons being one of their favourite. They polished a style that could be described as one of these following : Surf wave, Bizarre wave, strange wave, weird witch wave, silly mental wave or Psycho tropical Berlin. In fact anything you want as long as it ends with wave. And the boys created LA FEMME. Rock and pop, rococo bauhaus, fed from multiples influences (Krafwerk, Elli & Jacno) La Femme just want to please you. Nicola Giunta and Gioele Valenti (the musicians creating the Lay Llamas dimension) seem to communicate from a different solar system their ecstatic gaze towards an imaginary future world. They rely mainly on a narrative tone of mysterious and spectral dark-psych shades, digging abyss of glacial depht of the self, where light filters through lysergic languors and radiant progressions of luminous dust. Oneiric voices refer to the hybrid chaos of a metropolitan jungle, as a hypnotic and psychic dimension of mind layers. 'Goud' is steeped in numerous literary, mythological, philosophical, ecological and alchemical references. Pulsating and magnetic Farfisa, mesmeric basses and flutes or poisonous pinkfloydian and krautrock patterns forge a clear divinatory aspect of the music. The trip ends in the dark night of the forest, with more acoustic flavours and percussive incense of pure acid-folk. The beautiful cover by Virginia Genta of Jooklo, with her amoebic-cosmic graphics, seems to perfectly seal the sound inspiration of one of the most advanced forges of Italian neo-psychedelia.

Born at the dawn of the new millennium in Italy, I.C.O. (Incoming Cerebral Overdrive) are heavy to the core. The end of the first decade of the new millennium marks a new step in the evolution of the band. The title of the new chapter is: "Le Stelle: A Voyage Adrift". The concept, an imaginary, dark and lonely trip adrift discovered in a diary. Emotions of fear, anger and irrational excitement are expressed, waiting for a certain epilogue into desolation, a final annihilation in a cosmic fusion. Sonically, this new album is a journey that intersects and expands in a huge, deep and at times, claustrophobic monolith. Heavy cavernous guitars with back-breaking riffs, multifaceted, effect laden vocals and rhythmic notes plunge into a psychedelic mix of
unpredictable sounds of distress and madness that we, the recipient, can only succumb to. The album ultimately analyses the irrational, insane feelings of the man who face a journey toward the unknown. A diary has been found, but we cant say anything more than whats written inside. Impossible to identify the places (real or not, who knows) that he explored, what shines through his words are his fears, sensations and frustrations fed by a sense of belonging to a chaotic,
incontrollable, and compromised whole. The participation of Urlo and Poia of Ufomammut, both during the composition and the recording sessions opens the project to a new light.
Recorded in Rome at Locomotore Studio by Lorenzo Stecconi (already soundlord for such important discs as Ufomammut and
Lento).

In the early 1960s, Rhode Island teenagers fell into two camps: Collegiates ("coh-leege" for short), the prim and proper university-bound studious types, and Mondos, who donned skintight black peg pants, black boots and collarless jackets. As for a certain group of Woonsocket High School students, it was obvious they didn't exactly have SAT test scores in mind when blasting out one of Rhode Island's finest rock and roll moments, 'Rip It Up', back in 1964. The Mondos were the earliest waxed garage rock'n'roll band from the Ocean State, with their self-released debut disc 'Mondo Moe' appearing on their own FM label in 1963.

One such box contained The TashMints' unreleased record from 2009, featuring a swag of tunes written by Link McClennan, and a couple of covers (The Gun Club & The InCrowd). Featuring members from a coterie of Melbourne bands: The Meanies, Bindi, Mach Pelican, Sore Eyes, Stoneage Romeos and The Breadmakers, The TashMints coalesced in 2008, recorded the LP in 2009, then disbanded abruptly in 2010. They played a lot of live shows over that period, and plan to do so again with the 2022 release. Sleeve design by artist Sora Mizusawa (from the Japanese band Gimmes).

This album was recorded in 1977 and produced by Status Quo's Francis Rossi. The album has never been released on vinyl until now. Du Cann's career was boosted as a member of Atomic Rooster, Daemon (later renamed Bullet) then Hard Stuff. In 1974 he was a temporary guitarist for a Thin Lizzy German tour. In 1977, he was signed to the same management company as Status Quo, and he was joined in the studio by Francis Rossi. The resulting album, 'The World's Not Big Enough' included Rossi on guitar, Andy Bown (The Herd, Judas Jump, Status Quo) on keyboards, Pete Kircher (Honeybus, Status Quo, Liverpool Express) on drums, and John McCoy (Ian Gillan, Tyla Gang, U.K. Subs) on bass. Zolle, self-proclaimed rednecks, on the loose and ready to run amok with the release of their self-titled debut album, an ode to okel ways of living. They might not take themselves so seriously but don't be fooled, their music is no hayseed dixie, brace yourself for a ferocious, rampant record of thunderous riffs and robust drum blasts. Zolle are - Marcello (Lan of Morkobot) playing meaty riffs and Stefano who beefs things up on drums and xylophone. The duo commenced work on their debut album throughout the summer of 2012, and in just two months they had the music ready to commit to tape. Their self-titled album was recorded in September of the same year by Michelangelo Roberti at Mizkey Studio (MoRkObOt) and mastered by Giovanni Versari (zu, Morkobot, OvO, One Dimensional Man).
It was played almost live, with overdubs reduced to the bone. The drums are of considerable proportion and made of copper and the amplifier an old digital model of the '50s which makes for a mammoth sound. Urlo from Ufomammut and Roberto Rizzo of Quasiviri/Runi add a little synth seasoning to flesh out the album also. The resulting album is mightily heavy, the short songs are direct and song titles are entrenched in references to redneck living. For example 'Mayale' is a play on the Italian word for pig [Maiale] but is written like 'Maya' to reflect the sacred image of the Mayan pig face adorning the album's cover. Similarly, 'Heavy Letam' is suggestive of 'Letame' which means manure in Italian - not to mention
being an anagram of 'heavy metal'. Sludge, metal. For fans of: Morkobot, Primus, Clutch.

Clever Square's style is closely linked to American indie rock, a timeless genre marked by a slacker aesthetic which exploded at the turn of the '80s/'90s. 'A Ride', like all the best concept albums, takes you on a journey. This one concerns the last three days of an American runaway's life. Part road trip, part engrossing mystery, part search for redemption, it's the fictional tale of a troubled man whose past comes back to haunt him, as in the best Americana/alt-country tradition. 'The Fault is Mine' describes the moment the anonymous fugitive protagonist of 'A Ride' acknowledges his faults and accepts his burden. But even in his darkest hour, he can see a glimmer of light and hope in the distance. The origins of 'A Ride' go back to 2015. On tour in the US, Reynolds took in the shifting landscapes, the people he met and their stories. All of this fed into the album he recorded at the all-analogue TUP Studio in Brescia, near Milan. Reynolds played almost all of the instruments himself and co-produced 'A Ride' with longtime collaborator Bruno Barcella.
Via eleven chronologically-sequenced songs, we travel with him. There are epiphanies and dream sequences, drunken dive-bar nights and chats with Jesus and Lucifer. As the narrator battles with his own dark side, it is ultimately we, the listeners, who must weigh up and flesh out his story. But it's important to remember that, on 'A Ride', things may not always be as they seem. This is a really great album that could remind you of the old Bon Iver, Damien Jurado, Phosphorescent or even William Elliot Whitmore.

Rose Mercie has existed since 2013. More than a fictional female personality, we can say that it is a rock band with multiple influences or a team of witches who make a very personal trance based on improvisation and who exchange ideas, instruments according to their desires. Their first album, recorded in their friends' living room in Villejuif by Cyril Harrison, was released in 2018. In September 2020, the second was recorded, still with Cyril but in the studio this time. The third album symbolizes what they have become through concerts and years of complicity with simple and essential musical ingredients. Fruit of wanderings and discoveries between Montreuil, Portel-des-Corbières and Mexico City, this opus is called '¿Kieres Agua?' and it is released as an international co-production with Jelodanti Records (Paris) and Celluloid Lunch (Montreal)..

When Thierry Müller, the initiator of the Ruth project, releases the album 'Polaroid/Roman/Photo' in 1985, he was not an unknown artist back then. In 1977 Thierry launched his first experimental group, Arcane, soon followed by the Ilitch project and the more punk orientated band Ruth Ellyeri, in collaboration with actress Murielle Huster. Early 1982, a first version of the track 'Polaroïd/Roman/Photo' was released under the name of the project Ruth. The full-length album was released in 1985 through a small independant label and sold poorly. The title track was re-discovered by DJs Marc Moulin and Ivan Smagghe in the early 2000s, provoking renewed interest from the electronic music scene. Alongside his activity as graphic designer, Thierry Müller carries on producing music under his own name to date. The LP includes a 12-page booklet with liner notes in French and English.

When Norwegian singer/songwriter Thomas Hansen left this earth way to early in September 2007 at the age of only 31, he left behind an impressive collection of songs. Under the moniker St. Thomas (or later Saint Thomas) he released six full length albums that gave him great attention in both his home country, the rest of Europe and in America too with MTV rotation. While most of the St. Thomas albums have been released on vinyl, 'Children Of The New Brigade' was not when it was released back in 2005. Fortunately Thomas' parents Beth and Terje and his old label Racing Junior have granted Accelerator Records the permission to give this fantastic album the vinyl treatment it deserves. Second pressing, limited to 200 copies on clear blue vinyl.

SALVADOR, HENRI - HOMME STUDIO
A pop star who turned his back to show business to become an independent artist, steered by the revolutionary ideas in 1960's France; these are the outlines of Henri Salvador's unusual musical career. It made him into a star then led him to entirely dissociate from the record industry, preferring to compose music in his living room. At the age of 50, Salvador starts experimenting with synths and drum machines, multi-track recorders and altered voice collages. Salvador has had a time span of seventy years of creating music, producing some thousand tracks in all kinds of styles. Sometimes associated to ye-ye singers, he's also known to have brought rock to France in 1956, with Boris Vian. In the course of time, he would become a multi-talented artist: jazzman, crooner, entertainer, composer, guitar player and childrens' songs singer. Although his career almost faded into obscurity in the 1980's and 1990's, he made a brief comback in the 2000's, before Salvador passed away in 2008. This compilation brings together a number of tracks from 1969 to 1978, representing just a short era from his impressive career. Including extensive liner notes and download code.

Cameroonian musician Francis Bebey is truly one of a kind. He entered the music scene with his African compositions for classical guitar. He gave recitals while pursuing a career in journalism and then as an international civil servant. The same creative impulse also led him to write pop songs, and some of which (based on novels he had written) became big hits in Africa and in the French-speaking world. But few people know that in the '70s, Francis Bebey delved into electronic music. The first electronic keyboards, organs and drum machines offered him new possibilities of totally controlling his compositions. He embraced the technique of "sound on sound" recording (recording several tracks, sequentially juxtaposed on the same tape). This new stage in his musical career included the production of several records ("Savannah Georgia," "New Track", "Haiti"), rarities both for their creative explorations as well as their manifestations on vinyl. This was a particularly rich period for him, as he tested the limitless possibilities of the medium, and made use of surprising and novel instruments. Incredible sounds - in the literal sense of the word - would soon appear on the planet Bebey...

Giovanni Di Domenico's "Zuppa Di Pazienza", recorded and produced in five months, has resulted in more thorough compositions. Using numerous analog keyboards at the Klangendum/Worm studio in Rotterdam, "Zuppa Di Pazienza" is entirely played by Di Domenico. The filed recordings and overdubs were recorded in a second session, without listening to the original version of the music. Di Domenico then edited the whole project. The result is a tingling of sound material around the main theme.

Humming Dogs are made up of eight members - David Bausseron, Mathieu Breuvard, Florence Decourcelle, Thierry Dupont, Chantal Esso, Léa Le Bars, Florian Spiry, and Valérie Waroquier, who each write and create songs, swap instruments and sing collectively. Guitars, bass, drum kit, and keyboards mix with toy percussion, amplified pine cones, pot lids, iPads and a zither. 'Ha Ha Ha' opens the record with the group dispersed and growling at one another, only to break out in infectious laughter, a free word riot and a thick bass melody. The traditional French song 'Karnaval' gets totally sent by keyboards and a heavy guitar scrawl egged on by the bands hooting and hollering. 'Ça Me Gratte' haunts, grates, until it splits with a rising synthesizer, squeaking toys, vocal drones and spitting, near exhausted vocals from Chantel Esso. 'Les Borigènes' contains the self taught, simple charm of the Shaggs 'Philosophy Of The World', performed in the spirit of village revelry and recorded and edited beautifully in the tradition of the GRM. Democratized experimentation, low ego rock'n'roll - 'Les Borigènes' is a truly joyous, remarkable and wild record. Full recording of one of the most engaging and beguiling Late Junction live sessions we've ever heard - the one off first meeting between Korean multi-instrumentalist Park Jiha and writer and performer Roy Claire Potter. Park Jiha plays the saenghwang, a Korean mouth organ which she blows in long multiphonics to set pace for Potter's words. Together they unfurl a scene slowly in front of you, rich and focused, shifting your field of vision and drawing you in, elsewhere. It's impossible not to follow, not to look for where they point. When the piri sounds for a flooded town on the B side, the water flows between your own feet; Potter's words a sometimes frightening hörspiel in scouse. Though the details are fine, the space each artist gives one another and their instruments, their language, is given to the listener in turn. A careful melody picks out a route for words with no fixed meaning, a body with no fixed direction, and we are invited to listen and see a kind of music made visible in its inference. A truly very special record we are very proud to share.

'Loud Object' is the second solo release from artist Billy Steiger, following his self released 'Recordings, Drawings And Photographs From In And Around Frîdd Newydd' in 2016. Both a visual artist and a musician, Steiger's 'Loud Object' plays as a two sided experiment in markmarking and sound, as a kind of writing by ear - metallic, brushed, wooden - lines imprinted and pressed circular. 'Loud Object' began as six sides of violin improvisations, four of them abandoned and the last of them added to or processed usings samplers in moments Steiger calls 'wells' - gaps or dips in the recording which could be filled or poured into. The process of filling up and taking away, of repeating and multiplying, of building tension between the finite and the lost - all wrestle with actualisation. Which line will be drawn? In the liner notes for the LP, Evie Scarlett Ward writes, "The record holds loss." Though the lines are fixed, its contents are fluid - forty minutes filled in and manipulated, before time moves on.

HOCINE CHAOUI - OUECHESMA
Chaoui is a genre of Berber music that originated in the Aurès region of Algeria. It is a mixture of Saharan and Atlas mountain music marked with dancing rhythms. This LP is a reissue of one of the most "in demand" of the genre's cassettes. It was originally released by Oriental Music Production, a label dedicated to the some of the best regional releases during the heyday of the '80s and '90s golden era of rai and local Algerian music cassettes.

Volume 2. First vinyl reissue of this Indian classical masterpiece recorded by Shrimati Kalyani Roy in 1974. Undoubtedly one of the most talented sitar players in the history of the instrument. She is considered as one of the finest femaile players in a field that was dominated by here male counterparts. On these recordings, a two volume set, she is accompanied by Manick Das (tabla) and Namita Chatterjee (tambura). Recorded in Japan on the 20th of September 1974.

SABREEN - DEATH OF THE PROPHET
"Those awaiting", the name chosen by the musicians of Sabreen, still rings true forty years after the foundation of this group in Jerusalem. Voice of the hopes as well as the anger of the Palestinian youth, this group has recorded four self-produced albums. With the weapons of poetry, they will embody the voices of resistance against the occupation but also the desire for emancipation from tradition. Emblematic of this state of mind, their second album 'Death Of The Prophet' was released on cassette at the beginning of the first intifada. It will be the soundtrack, while providing the tuning fork of the future generations. Whether meditative beaches or collective outbursts, joyful outbursts or more serious moments, the band goes through the range of feelings, drawing its inspiration from the sources of classical Arabic music and popular folklore. The result is a unique style, irreducible to any category. All that makes that forty years later, this cult album, never released on vinyl, remains very current. Including booklet with extended liner notes by Jacques Denis and rare photos.

SOULEYMAN, OMAR - HAFLAT GHARBIA: WESTERN CONCERTS
Amazing live document from the master of Syrian dabke and regional Iraqi, Kurdish and Turkish styles. Omar Souleyman is a folk-pop singer from rural northeastern Syria. Like many Syrian musicians, he made his name as a singer for wedding parties in the region, with hundreds of cassettes and CDs documenting his performances distributed throughout the country. These, along with several studio albums, earned him legendary status in the Syrian dabke scene throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. After his 2005 breakthrough folk-hit "Khataba," Omar gained wider recognition throughout the Arab world. After collecting his tapes for a decade, Sublime Frequencies released the first compilation of Omar Souleyman tracks to be distributed in the West. The success of Highway To Hassake (SF 031CD, 2007), and the enthusiastic online reaction to the promotional clip for his track "Leh Jani," led to Omar being invited to tour the UK and Europe in the summer of 2009. It would be his first time performing or travelling outside of the Arab world. He and his group, comprised of two longtime collaborators - Rizan Sa'id on keyboards, and electric saz player Ali Shaker - set off on a six-week Sublime Frequencies tour with label-mates Group Doueh.
By the end of 2009, Omar had proven that his unique and charismatic delivery of Syrian electrified folkloric dabke, Iraqi choubi and Arabic shaabi had the ability to appeal to the most diverse of Western audiences. His success has continued, with further tours throughout Europe, America and Australia drawing rave reviews and leaving a trail of fervor across the globe. The rise of Omar's success has transcended the wedding halls and cassette stalls of Syria and slipped into Western popular consciousness. Despite there being no shortage of musical talent in Syria, dabke and otherwise, Omar Souleyman is the first Syrian musical export to have won the hearts of Westerners and Arabs alike on this scale. His trademark checkered khaffya, sunglasses and elegant jalaba are not uncommon male attire in the Arab world, but for years in the West, it is that exact image which has been excessively demonized. Perhaps one of the most striking achievements of Omar's rise has been watching that iconic image transformed from comic book villainy to something positively regal. The recordings on Haflat Gharbia: The Western Concerts, Omar Souleyman's fourth release on Sublime Frequencies, represent an hour of the best moments from the Western tours between 2009 and 2011, captured in striking fidelity and intensity. Fans will recognize familiar songs, as well as previously-unreleased material presented here for the first time, in what is the biggest sounding Omar record yet. Compiled and recorded by Mark Gergis.
