 EL GUSCIO
AL DOUM & THE FARYDS - AL DOUM & THE FARYDS
Awesome private release LP, stunning overall quality, artwork by Troglosound. "Equally stirring and equally necessary for mental health are those spectacular cave recordings contained within the grooved wares of Al Doum & The Faryds' self-titled debut LP. Released on the Italian El Guscio Records (elguscio.it), this fucking righteously Out There declaration comes on like a lobotomized Xhol Caravan meets Shiva's Tongue meets one of those low low grade reggae recording bands like Ras Michael & The Sons of Negus, all jamming-ah on the 100 Fahrenheit obsidian-strewn plains of Southern Sardinia. Yes, it's hot. Throughout these proceedings, therefore, mucho Arabian percussion is shaken and kicked, much soul clapping is embarked upon, and several times repeated Middle Eastern flutensax themes of extreme unmemorability perk up then dwindle with an almightily stoned purposelessness. All quite exquisite. And although arid arid M. Karoli eBow occasionally flames up to provide a vast horizon of cosmick beauty, the Faryds main themes always remain so VU-crunchy and agricultural down at their What bottom end? that even the off kilter lipping of their sub-sub-Madness/Faust-style sax warbler appears sumptuous by discs end. A fuck of a journey, kiddies, you gots to hear these cosmic jokers on repeat in order best to witness the dissolving of your immediate world." (Julian Cope). BURKE, DEC - PARADISMS & STORYLINES (2LP)
This limited to 250 copies double LP is pressed on 180g vinyl and is housed in a stunning gatefold sleeve and slip-case designed by Paul Tippett of Vitamin P. The album is mixed and produced by Stefan Fanden, best known for his work with Swedish prog band Carptree. Burke's talent for an infectious melody aligned with a dextrous flash of musicianship was there for all to hear, as it is again on "Paradigms & Storylines". This time however, the sound mix has been nailed. So instead of sounding like you were hearing them underwater, the explosive opening trio of "Days Like These", "March of the Androids", and "A Price for Life" are razor sharp, mixing a modern techno edge to a harmonious classic rock sound. Yet if it's the modern slant that opens the album, Burke opts for no holds barred bombast with an epic closing triptych of "Yesterday's Fool", the emotive "December Sun" and the three-part title track. It's as good a prog work as you'll hear all year. For fans of Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Spock's Beard, Darwin's Radio, Frost.

DOM - EDGE OF TIME (2LP)
REPRESSED!! Official re-release of this early 70s psychedelic underground trip. Think Pink Floyd in their experimental phase but also the electronic adventures of early Ashra Tempel or Tangerine Dream combined with the ethnic sounds of the Third Ear Band. this vinyl edition comes as a 3-sided 2LP in a gatefold sleeve. DUN - EROS
Limited edition of 300 numbered copies : thick cover, insert (repro of a late 70s Dun poster), 180 gr. white vinyl and it includes 2 download cards. One provides access to the CD-only bonus tracks in mp3, the text & photos of the CD booklet and to a pdf file of the poster ; while the other offers an 85 minutes Soleil Zeuhl compilation (mp3). Anonymous quote from Progarchives.com : "Eros" was the group's only album. Recorded in 1981 and based on a popular concept written by Frank Herbert ("Dune") the band would become as some sort of reference with the track "Arrakis". All the tracks are consistently good, even on through the bonus tracks. The four studio tracks smoke from beginning to end. Like most Zeuhl music, the bass and drums play a very dominant role. Another remarkable feature of the album is a strong flute presence. Personally I think that "Eros" is one of the best instrumental progressive albums made to date. Superb and essential masterpiece

FORT MUDGE MEMORIAL DUMP - FORT MUDGE MEMORIAL DUMP
Exact repro of this hippie rock LP from 1970, originally out on Mercury. The band were from Massachusettes, and thus are filed among the 'Bosstown' or 'Boston(e) Sound' scene, together with f.i. Ultimate Spinach, Freeborne, Eden's Children, Ill Wind, Beacon Street Union, Orpheus, etc. Though at times their style is comparable to Ultimate Spinach, they sounded mostly like a west-coast band, thanks to a strong Jefferson Airplane influence. Nevertheless, the female vocals remind of Shocking Blue's Mariska Veres rather than Grace Slick!

GALAHAD - BATTLE SCARS
This limited edition of 300 copies LP is pressed on 180g vinyl and is housed in a gatefold sleeve designed by Paul Tippett of Vitamin P. With "Battle Scars", veteran English progsters Galahad have produced a thoroughly modern release that embraces a myriad of styles, veering into techno, ambient and dance territories at times. Echoes of Riverside, Oceansize and even System Of A Down also resound in an album of breathtaking ambition. Beginning with the highly orchestrated title song, this isnt a relaxing listen. Each track has numerous twists and turns, and the overall ambience is unnerving, jagged and challenging. Standouts include "Singularity", which recalls Finnish experimentalists Pharaoh Overlord, "Bitter And Twisted" full of mysterious intensity, and "Seize The Day", which begins in elegiac fashion and then goes techno crazy.

GILA - LIVE - FREE ELECTRIC ROCK SESSIONS
"Free Electric Rock Sessions" is a live recording from Cologne in 1972 that was broadcasted "live in studio" by a radio station in Germany (WDR). Although this album was never officially released at the time, this should be the second Gila album and even if only played as a radio broadcast, all of the tracks were brand new and are not available on their other two albums. In a similar fashion to the stunning debut album "Free Electric Sound", this album pulls out all the underground Krautrock vibes and is a truely great album. Some years ago these recordings found their way onto CD from "Garden Of Delights" (Nightworks). As this is not a studio album, the sound is not perfect, but the recordings have been (once again) restored at its best for this vinyl release. Our favourite track is "The Gila Symphony" which clocks in at around 17 mins and represents a great extended space jam similar to the early FLOYDs.

JENGHIZ KAHN - WELL CUT
One of those real rare hard rock group often considered as heavy progressive, JENGHIZ KHAN produced one sole album that is now a highly-priced collectible item. Its housed in an amazing cartoon-like gatefold cover of the Great Conqueror having cut the group member's heads, this obscure quartet is also the second band of bassist Pierre Raepsat (he had recorded with another "progressive" group LAURELIE one year before). An Heavy Prog-Psych Masterpiece occasionally reminds of an hybrid of TEN YEARS AFTER, URIAH HEEP Gypsy, IRON BUTTERFLY and VANILLA FUDGE.with Pierre Raepsaet's heavily accented Paul Rodgers-inspired vocals, kicked along by Tim Brean's keyboards and Friswa's buzz saw guitar, material like the bluesy Campus A and Trip To Paradise was every bit as good as material being churned out by their UK and US competitors. Despite a strong demand, as witnessed the prices for original vinyls, this is the First Legit LP Reissue of JENGHIZ KHANs sole album with reproduction of the original sleeve and including 6 beautiful never seen before black/white photos of the band !! LAURELIE - LAURELIE
LAURELIE is part of the first wave of progressive groups to appear in Belgium (along with WATERLOO, MAD CURRY & The PEBBLES). Even if there were still many psychedelic treats in their music (this is true also for the other groups just mentioned). Coming out of Eastern Belgiums Ardennes, the group was a standard Progressive quartet with a flutist. Their sole album, released on a "Barclay" subsidiary label called "Triangle" was released in early 1970s and they sounded a bit like Psychedelic era-TRAFFIC, CRESSIDA, GRAVY TRAIN with a touch of BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST in their more symphonic moments. Their music is a mix of shorter Psych-filled tracks and two longer Prog-Psych tracks, including a five-piece suite almost filling the second side of the album. The group did not manage to stay long together and later that year, you would find bassist Pierre Raepsaet a member of the equally-collectible JENGHIZ KHAN. Despite a strong demand, as witnessed the prices for original vinyls, this is the First Legit LP Reissue of LAURELIEs sole album with reproduction of the original sleeve Track listing : Side A 1. LOST RIVERS - SIN AND LOSTNESS
Noise infused three-piece The Lost Rivers hail from the south west German state of Baden-Wurtemberg yet sound as if they might have been conceived in the outer reaches of hell. Surefire challengers to A Place To Bury Strangers crown as kings (and queen) of sonic annihilation. Having firmly established themselves as one the most exciting rock n roll bands on the planet, The Lost Rivers now deliver their debut album Sin and Lostness. Be sure to have those earplugs at the ready. "While comparisons with earlier incumbents of such wares like Spacemen 3, Loop and The Brian Jonestown Massacre are inevitable, theres an immeasurably distinct edge to The Lost Rivers make up that sets them apart from most of their peers both past and present." - Drowned In Sound.

MESSAGE TO BEARS - DEPARTURES
This limited to 250 copies LP is pressed on high quality 180g virgin vinyl and housed in a beautiful, hand-numbered "tip-on" sleeve. Message to Bears is the moniker of multi-instrumentalist Jerome Alexander who creates beautiful soundscapes by overlaying acoustic guitar lines, piano, percussion, samples and strings. Highlights are too many to mention. "Hidden Beneath" plays with a four-to-the-floor dance beat, but what really matters is Alexander's guitar-picking, a shining, bell-like sound so distinctive he could almost patent it. "Pretend to Forget" is heart-crackingly desolate, with a gorgeously dissonant cello and violin part to complement the intricate guitar work. "Hope" dispenses with the guitars, leaving the strings to work the magic. Beginning with a series of mighty, sustained chords redolent of Barrington Pheloung's scores for Inspector Morse, the track then expands majestically with the introduction of tremoloed triple-time violins and further deepening of the chord structure by the addition of inner parts. This is the sound of a popular composer at his meridian. Message to Bears currently performs as a six piece band, featuring acoustic guitars, violin, viola, drums and bass guitar.

PRETTY THINGS - PHILIPPE DEBARGE
1969. SF SORROW is done and dusted. PARACHUTE is yet to come. THE PRETTY THINGS are at their creative peak. with no outlet in sight. Enter PHILIPPE DEBARGE: Frenchman, playboy, and Pretty Things superfan. He commissions the band to write and produce an album for him. Debarge and the five Pretty Things duly enter Nova Studios, one of Londons first eight-track facilities. With access to this new technology they experiment with multi-tracking and an array of psychedelic effects. Debarge sings lead, and the Pretty Things play and sing everything else on a stunning set of 12 May/Waller originals in the classic late 60s Pretty Things style, many of them never recorded by the band before or since. Acoustic, fuzz and backwards guitars abound, along with Mellotron, harpsichord and the unmistakable heavenly three-part harmonies of Phil May, Wally Waller and Jon Povey. The album is completed, but never released. Until now. Limited edition deluxe vinyl edition. Just 1,000 pressed. Heavy duty glossy color LP jacket with insert and full liner notes by Mike Stax. PROF. WOLFFF - PROF. WOLFFF
Prof. Wolfff lived a short and intensive life in the early 70s, as a part of the krautrock adventure - with gigs all over Germany and a TV performance at the Talentschuppen (ARD- first German channel). The band unexpectedly split in March 1972, shortly after producing their first album 'Prof. Wolfff', which was released in 1972 by Metronome. Along with Ihre Kinder and Ton, Steine, Scherben, an important political rockband from Berlin, Prof. Wolfff was one of the first progressive rock bands in Germany exclusively singing German rock songs, even before Udo Lindenberg released his first 'German' album. As a result, other musicians were inspired to compose rock songs using German language. "Mixing pop, blues, jazz and classical with German political lyrics (krautrock style), Prof. Wolfff's self-titled album was produced by Ihre Kinder manager Jonas Porst. At times Prof. Wolfff sounds like a strong blues rock act mixed with a bit of classical and psychedelia while at other times they come off as a mixture of pop and barbershop. Prof. Wolfff's album contains five tracks, the three best of which are extended. Led by a great raw guitar sound and classical-styled hammond organ, 'Hetzjagd', the albums jewel, showcases the bands ability to piece together various elements into an accessible track. 'Hans Im Gluck' contains more prominent hammond organ. The two shorter tracks 'Missverstandnis' and 'Das Zimmer' are lighter fare and contain poppy chorus vocals. Finally, the album closes with 'Weh Uns', a heavier track containing a hard progressive sound highlighted by guitar solos and classical motifs. Now available as limited 1000 copy edition on 180 gr. vinyl, comes with the original Foldopencover and has an additional booklet with unseen photographs.

RYAN, COLLIE - THE HOUR IS NOW
COLLIE RYAN privately pressed three albums in the early '70s-Taking Your Turn Round The Corner of Day, Indian Harvest, and The Giving Tree. The records were funded in part by Collie's friends at the New Age Farms carrot and fresh juice company in Lompoc, California and her mesmerizing music remained largely a secret until "Cricket," one of the tracks from Indian Harvest surfaced on the Numero Group's stellar compilation Ladies From the Canyon in 2006. Collie's music is almost solely based around her cosmic and birdlike voice and nylon guitar picking, and her lyrics reflect her lifelong study of theosophy and naturalist living. The Hour Is Now collects tracks from her first three LPs and is packaged with Collie's own artwork. For fans of Buffy Sainte-Marie, Joni Mitchell, Sibylle Baier and Ruthann Friedman.

 ONE KIND FAVOR
SOUND CEREMONY - SOUND CEREMONY
Canadian born guitarist and songwriter Ron Warren Ganderton self-released three LPs with his group Sound Ceremony while living in the United Kingdom during the 1970s and 80s. First came "Guitar Star" (1973), then "Sound Ceremony" (1979) and finally "Precious As England" (1981). Despite some modest distribution and frequent gigs, the band never seemed to really take off and Ganderton eventually returned to his native Vancouver (where he still resides), leaving hundreds of unsold records in the attic of his house. While these copies seem to have been lost to the ravages of time, One Kind Favor will now reissue the second Sound Ceremony LP. All of the group's efforts are undeniably unique, but "Sound Ceremony" (1979) is the true brain-damaged winner of the bunch. The record surely fits somewhere into the UK punk explosion of the day, but it's also looks back to the mid-sixties rock that Ron cut his teeth on and ahead to some sort of maniac future form of entertainment that perhaps has not been invented yet. Ganderton's truly "out of it" stream of consciousness lyrics show a clear lack of self-censorship and that's really one of the albums strongest assets. He has created this character of himself as a huge rock star and a sex symbol, and who are we to deny his claims? This stuff is eerily convincing. Like a more manic Lou Reed, the man's ideas often can't be contained by something so limiting as the bar line. The band chugs along amiably as Ganderton's vocals wander all over the place. If you've never heard a singer do a count-off all the way up to seventeen, then now is your big chance! Features what is perhaps the greatest anti-cigarette song of all time.

WRAY, VERNON - WASTED
Limited vinyl issue. A long waited album of Vernon Wray, the oldest son of the famous Wray family. The only album 'Wasted', released on his own private label Vermillion in '73, was only sold at his gigs. Without much public attention and lack of promotion the album was forgotten soon after. 'Wasted' contains strong flavor of country, folk and swamp rock. Vernon's voice strongly resembles Johnny Cash's very masculine deep bass tone. The album was recorded at Wray's Shack Three Tracks+5 with support of Link Wray. It should be welcomed by all the Wray cult fans.

AMYGDALA (JAPAN) - AMYGDALA
A Japanese band, heavily Zeuhl influenced (more on the Univers Zero than the Magma side) with that rio edge that seems to be the landmark for a lot of Japanese bands. Almost entirely instrumental, dark, pulsating and complex, their music combines powerful rock energy and insane rhythmical patterns of Magma, sometimes close to Ruins.

BLUE BLOOD - TOP SHELF WOMAN
Blue Blood's origins lie in the heart of urban Auckland. Originally Blue Blood was the brain-child of Joel C Blood and Simon Hole. Blood and Hole decided that it was time to turn back to their hard rock and bluesy roots and formed what is now Blue Blood. Blue Blood quickly grew into a full band with Nathan Cooper joining on Keyboards, Mike West on second guitar and Johnny Jackson on Bass. Blue Blood serve up a serious dose of blues infused psychedelic rock. The influences maybe firmly rooted in the 70's but the production and delivery are very much in the now.

CORIMA - QUETZALCOATL
Corima is a young US band playing..zeuhl music. The band formed a few years ago in Texas (!) before moving to LA as a duo and then recruiting new members. This is their second CD (their first is no longer available). Corima music owes a lot to Magma, the album being a succession of personal ideas and heavy glimpses to the Master founder of the Zeuhl genre. The cosmogony is no longer Kobaïan but deals with the Mexican myth of Quetzalcoatl (the Feathered-Snake God) who (as the guide in MDK) talks to his people. In short, Corima gives us here an album which pays homage to Magma in a very festive way, an approach rather similar to Koenjihyakkei - however less sonic.

ESKATON - FICTION
"Fiction" shows Eskaton dropping many of their overt Magma references and showing more experimentation with keyboards and especially synthesizer. The music is very cathartic and anthemic, with the vocalists taking each other to new heights. By this point it seemed that the band were moving more and more away from their roots into a distinct and original direction. Unfortunately, Fiction would be their last. After Gilles Rozenberg departed in 1984 the band would go on to record their fourth effort "Icare" in 1985 which was never released, and eventually disbanded in the late 80's. Eskaton were one of the greatest of all of the French rock groups, the Magma references seem incidental in the light of the very powerful music they created for themselves and their audience. All of their music comes highly recommended. (Originally published in Expos #8) The CD reissue features the original "Fiction" album + 5 bonus tracks : 1 unreleased track from the same year (1982) + 4 tracks from the never released album "Icare" from 1985. INTROITUS - ELEMENTS
The new album from Swedish Introitus is a 66 minutes long journey of symphonic, progressive rock. With Elements we are now getting even more advanced compositions, partly with a heavier sound, but still true to the very Swedish sound found on Fantasy. Reviewers compared the first album to bands like Glass Hammer, latter days Kaipa, and Pink Floyd. We get classic style compositions, yet with a distinct tonal language, which is very well performed with classy female lead vocals and stunning keyboard work at the fore.

LAVA ENGINE - IN LIMBO
Stylistically, the band plays a very varied and versatile form of progressive rock. The instruments range from Opeth-esque, brooding and crushing distortion through Dream Theatre-inspired epic passages all the way to stuff that you'd find in any slightly more complex and non-mainstream alternative rock album. The latter vibe is fortified by their competent vocalist, whose voice will remind you of a strange split between Brandon Boyd (Incubus) and the dudes from Pain Of Salvation and Dream Theater. Maybe even Evergrey if you really pay close attention. The clean vocal delivery obviously allows for much more memorable content than if they were screamed/growled, and particularly the title track and "Drain Your Soul" both benefit from catchy harmonies to make it a joy for the listener to venture through their six minute lengths of prog rock.

The legendary Lime Spiders first exploded into the unsuspecting ears of the music public in the post-punk era of the early 80s. Described by US Rolling Stone as 'the Sex Pistols on acid', the Spiders sound was inspired by everything from 60s punk/pop/psychedelia, to the more innovative 70s rock and late 70s punk.

MORILD - TIME TO REST (2CD)
The music on this album is pretty much straight forward symphonic prog in the vein of Camel and the other greats from the international symphonic prog scene. To this, also add the greats from the Norwegian prog scene from the 1970s. In other words, they are running their ship pretty safe, clear away from any rocks. You get tonnes of hammonds, flutes, guitars and drums. The vocals is also pretty typical understated symphonic prog. In other words; there is nothing here a symphonic prog fan would dislike

NOA - NOA
Reissue of an obscure underground French album from 1980. NOA features a histrionic female vocalist, piping the French language and enunciating syllables just like another instrument. The music of Noa is of the jazzy Zeuhl variety, with plenty of sax (some shrieking), soaring flute and the expected rhythms of the genre." Tom Hayes. Although the general mood of the album is Zeuhl-influenced (the dark vibe & the female voice that reminds Eskaton), the main influences claimed by the band are Henry Cow & Art Zoyd. The fact is that the use of the female voice has something to do with HC's Dagmar Krause era. Line-up includes guitar, bass, flute, sax, drums, percussions & female vocals. This album, sadly the sole recording of the band, is a real curiosity, a pretty experimental record that could have only come out in France during this period, at the turn of the 70s.

NOVA SAINTS - NEWFOUNDLAND
If you were to look into the space between the psychedelic punk of Creation Records, the garage pop of the British Invasion groups, the harmony-drenched troubadours of the American West Coast and the alien soundscapes of 4AD - you would find The Nova Saints. Having grown up together in the walled city of Hereford, The Nova Saints relocated to the bohemian melting pot of Bristol to develop and shape their sound - a sonic hybrid of their collective influences that owes as much to noise-art and swirling psychedelia as it does to classic pop. As well as being revered for their impressive live reputation (theyve shared the stage with Exit Calm, Nick McCabe (The Verve), The Electric Soft Parade amongst many others). The Nova Saints have also contributed to Northern Star Records trailblazing Psychedelica series (alongside Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Black Angels, The Telescopes, The Hiss, The Electric Soft Parade and many more) and released The Draft EP on their own HR4 Records label in 2007. They continue to receive worldwide airplay, being playlisted for several weeks by Bob Harris (Radio 2), plus theyve received regular appearances on several BBC Radio shows, Radio Citta Aperta (Italy) and airplay from Mike Joyce (The Smiths), Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets) and Dermo (Northside) on their Manchester radio shows. The Nova Saints also featured prominently on a Guardian documentary on the Bristol music scene. Newfoundland features 12 songs written over the course of the bands first 3 years together and is a mixture of brand new recordings of previously unheard songs and re-recordings of Nova Saints classics, all recorded between 2009 and 2011 by Mat Sampson at Bink Bonk, Bristol. 1. Sugar Coated 2. High Roller 3. Take It Or Leave It 4. Whirlpool 5. Slow Down 6. The Draft 7. What Does It Feel Like? 8. Indian Summer 9. Lights 10. I Wouldnt 11. Ten Year Silence 12. The Last Song

ONE SHOT - LIVE IN JAPAN
In 2010 One Shot went to Japan for a few concerts. This live CD was recorded in a small club in Tokyo on August 3rd, 2010. The sound of the recording is a marvel, the band never sounded better - even when recording into a studio. Huge dynamics in here! Emmanuel Borghi having departured the previous year, it is no surprise that he's been replaced by Bruno Ruder who is also the new keyboard player in....Magma. He makes his debut on CD with One Shot here. The 4 guys must have been on fire that night for playing with such rage & density! The music bites, it is dark & it rocks hard - with less jazz background that before. The stage is really the place where they are at their best, and this is fully evidenced here (their 2nd live recording after "Vendredi 13" in 2001). The rythm section of Ph. Bussonnet on bass & Daniel Jeand'heur on drums were truly exceptionnal that night, pushing the whole band towards new heights. To be played loud! 6 tracks - 63 minutes.

ORESUND SPACE COLLECTIVE - SLEEPING WITH THE SUNWORM
This is the 11th release by the completely improvised space rock band from the resund region in Scandinavia. The band is mainly made up of members from Copenhagen, Denmark and the Malmo Sweden area. This is the last of the material from the October 2008 studio session that gave us the Dead Man in Space and Slip into the Vortex releases. The music on this CD is one lon 56 min space rock jam! We split it into three parts for ease of play. It starts very slow heavy and spacey with a massive sound, before the track heads into a new directions with some beautiful guitar. A uptempo section develops after 15 or so minutes and features some intense guitar and synthesizer interaction. Due to an out of tune synthesizer, a new synthesizer section was overdubbed by Mogens. Magnus also replaced one of his guitar sections but other than these two small sections it is a completely improvised piece of music. A heavy and emotional piece of music.

Paganus is the latin word for "not of Rome" or uncivilised - meaning heathen person. It is hard to find a band that sounds more paganus than PAGANUS. This is a band that get most of its inspiration from bog, grass, bark and trees. Scribes have trawled their big books of appellations and band names, all the while aspiring to portray: the DOORS, LED ZEPPELIN, PRUDENCE, SKYCLAD, FOLQUE... But with a setting that, except from traditional guitar, bass and drums, also hold mandolin and violin this band have ben given their own sub-genre: wood rock/forest rock. A must for everyone who like rock, folk or folk rock.

Until now. Liner notes by Mike Stax. Cover art by Phil Smee. Fully re-mastered in magnificent full stereo hi-fidelity sound with the close collaboration of original co-producer Wally Waller. Fully sanctioned and approved by the Pretty Things.

Reissue of a rare as hell LP from 1978 (reaches $500 + on Ebay) issued in micro quantity only in Corsica (a French Island located between France & Italy). Strongly rooted into mediterranean culture, RIALZU sole recording did a highly original fusion of progressive, Corsican songs & zeuhl sounds (track 1 starts with a glimpse at Magma by playing briefly a section of KONTARKHOTZ!). Both music & vocals evoke the classic Italian progressive school (notably deep & powerful male vocals that may remind AREA). LP had 3 tracks, CD comes with bonus tracks & a short live video clip from 1977. One of the very last progressive gems from France never before issued on CD.

UNIT WAIL - PANGAEA PROXIMA
This is the long awaited new project of Franck Fromy, founder member of the now legendary Shub-Niggurath. Unit Wail is the next step after his (sadly) little known 000 experience from 2000 ( Crypto Sensus CD issued by Musea/Gazul). The line-up is Vincent Sicot-Vantalon (keys & all compositions), Philippe Haxaire (drums), Adrian Luna (bass), Emmanuel Pothier (synths) & Franck Fromy (guitar). Also featured on 1 track is James Hugget from US band Combat Astronomy. Propelled by a heavy rocking band, the music explores dark Crimsonian horizons, illuminated by Francks stellar guitar. Unit Wail proposes us here somekind of dark Zeuhl post-rock, exploring little frequented side-paths.

BEAU - THE WAY IT WAS
This LP is pressed on 180g vinyl and is housed in a full colour sleeve and inner and includes extensive notes and lyrics. Brand new studio recording by Beau, marks the famous folk troubadours return to the music scene after what seems like an eternity. There was the recent expanded version of his classic "Creation", this time aptly named "Creation Recreated", but who could imagine this would spawn a full-fledged return by Beau, both in the studio and live! Beau takes you back to the golden era of folk music, the 1960s and 1970s, which I guess is what the title hints at. His beautiful and rich 12-string guitar strumming is given meaning with Beau's poignant lyrics on subjects we can all relate to, as so much of the best folk music is able to do. "The Way It Was" is both a monument to times gone by and also a statement of intent. Beau has been able to create an album that sounds like a 60s or 70s album, but it doesn't sound like an album done by someone stuck in the 60s and 70s. Quite the opposite. "The Way It Was" might as well be called "The Way It Will Be" because Beau is back, as good as ever and hopefully here to stay!

MYSTERES, LES -FT. MARISKA VERES- - 4 TRACK EP
In 2009 a 'mysterious' 7" acetate was found in the archives of a long defunked recording studio. After some extensive research the mystery was revealed and it was found that the recordings on the acetate where made by a Dutch beat-group from The Hague who had one 'Mariska Veres' in their rankes. As we all now by now (the late) Mariska Veres was the lead singer of SHOCKING BLUE who reached world-wide fame with their hit 'VENUS'. So all SHOCKING BLUE aficionados should pay attention. These are the earliest recordings made by Mariska as singer for LES MYSTERES from The Hague 1964. The sound recordings from the acetate were professionally treated and restored to what's presented here on this 4 tracks EP. Mariska is featured on vocals on 2 of the 4 tracks. The EP is housed in a nice picture sleeve with insert and info on Mariska's career before she joined SHOCKING BLUE in 1968.

NASHVILLE RAMBLERS - THE TRAINS/FRAGILE CHILD
Recorded in 1985, "The Trains" by the Nashville Ramblers is one of the greatest pop songs of the entire era. Aided and abetted by ace producer Mark Neill (Black Keys), the band expertly channeled their key influences-Beatles, Remains, Hollies, Everly Brothers, and others-and shaped them into something fresh, urgent and breathtakingly original. A heart-stopping melody, evocative lyrics, a driving beat, soaring harmonies, a dynamic, reverb-soaked production-to hear "The Trains" was to fall in love with it. And every time you heard it, you fell in love again. However, outside a small circle of fans, though, very few people ever heard it. In an era when do-it-yourself was how-it-was-done, the Ramblers waited for somebody else to do it for them. Nobody did-not really anyway. In 1986 "The Trains" and one other Ramblers song appeared on an obscure UK-only compilation, but few people noticed. The moment was lost-if it was ever there at all-and "The Trains" slipped quietly back underground to become a whispered secret passed through the years between a growing coterie of admirers. Many discovered the song for the first time in 2005 when it was included on Rhinos Children of Nuggets box set-by then it was almost 20 years old. Fully remastered by Mark Neill directly from the original vaccum tube analog 3-track master tape, this shiny black 45rpm single and packaged in a deluxe hard cover picture sleeve, its paired with a terrific, previously unreleased version of the Golliwogs "Fragile Child" recorded at the same session. Its "The Trains" as it was always meant to be heard and another important step towards dragging this song out from the shadows of the underground and into the big, wide world where it always belonged. Only 1,000 copies pressed

OLIVERS - I SAW WHAT YOU DID/BEEKER STREET
The Olivers from Fort Wayne, Indiana evolved out of the Serfmen, a very popular band in the region, that had already released two nowadays rare 45's on their own Nemfres label. When the Serfmen signed with Dino Enterprises, an Indiana based agency in 1966, original member Greg Church left the band and was replaced by Billy Franze from another local group, The Unexpected. The Band then moved in a more British invasion direction for their music and outfit and changed name to The Olivers. The line-up at the time consisted of Jay Penndorf (guitar, vocals), Chuck Hamrick (drums), Carl Aldrich (keyboards, vocals) and Billy Franze (bass, vocals). The group's sole 7" release, 'I Saw What You Did' b/w 'Beeker Street' was recorded at Cap Studios in Portage, MI and was released with a Picture Sleeve later that year on the local Phalanx Label. The single got picked up by RCA Records for nationwide release and is rated today as one of the best and most exciting double sided major label garage 45s of the 1960s. Break-A-Way has re-issued the single with its original front sleeve and a newly designed backcover feat a short band history and unseen pictures.

SLOTHS - MAKIN' LOVE/YOU MEAN EVERYTHING
In 1965, five high school kids from Beverly Hills recorded a 45rpm single featuring two original songs "Makin' Love" and "You Mean Everything." They called themselves THE SLOTHS. Only a few hundred singles were pressed, some of them with a picture sleeve they designed and printed themselves on an old mimeograph machine. By the end of 1966 the Sloths had broken up, and were all but forgotten. Four decades later the Sloths only record has taken on an almost mythical quality among a new generation of garage rock fans and musicians. "Makin' Love" has been covered by scores of bands, including the seminal Detroit rockers the Gories, who recorded it for their album I Know You Fine, But How You Doin'. Original copies of the Sloths single with picture sleeve are now selling for astronomical sums. The most recent copy to surface on eBay fetched $6,500.00. Now UT Records has reissued this mega-rare single on 7-inch vinyl in all its primitive, jungle beatin' teen garage majesty, along with the dead-cool folk-rock flipside, "You Mean Everything" (amazingly, never reissued until now!). Mastered in 100% analog sound from a mint copy of the original 45. Picture sleeve reproduces the original artwork on the front; liner notes and color band photo on the reverse. This is a fully legit reissue done in collaboration with the surviving band members. Limited edition of 500 copies

OLIVERS - LOST DOVE SESSIONS
The Olivers from Fort Wayne, Indiana are best known for their highly sought after 1967 Picture Cover 45 on Phalanx Records titled 'I Saw What You Did' b/w 'Beeker Street'. The single got picked up by RCA Records for nationwide release and is today rated as one of the best and most exciting double sided major label garage 45s of the 1960s. A planned second single and LP release for RCA never happened. Long standing rumours of a "Lost LP" however, were confirmed when a one-of-a-kind reference acetate of an unreleased GRT album by The Olivers was found recently. The album, recorded after several line-up changes in early 1969 at Dove Studios in Minneapolis turned out to be a psychedelic jewel. An amazing album featuring the amazing rich and significant voice of leadsinger Billy Franze and on a par with the legendary psych albums of the era. 'Dove Sessions' features the nine minute long 'Jessica Ryder', the spooky 'Mushroom', the brooding organ driven 'The End', psychers such as 'Ball Of Fire', heavy rockers such as 'Free' and the trippy never ending 11-minute slashing guitar freakout of 'Social Slavery'. Unjustifiably shelved 40 years ago, this amazing organ drenched fuzzfest proves that the band does not only deserve the plaudit "Indiana Sixties Rock Heroes", but also had the potential for the national breakthrough that never happened. The LP captures the incredible talent and versatility of the Olivers and adds an essential piece of vinyl to their discography. A four-page LP sized insert documents the band's career as told by its original members and a cache of unseen photos completes the band's 1963-1971 history. Tracklist : 1. Ball Of Fire (B. Franze) 2. Mushroom (J. Penndorf) 3. Jessica Ryder (B. Franze) 4. Someday Somewhere (B. Franze) SIDE TWO 5. The End (R. Durrett) 6. Free (M. Mankey) 7. Social Slavery (M. Mankey)

BUSH, THE - GOT BUSH IF YOU WANT IT
In 1965-66, The Bush ruled the teen scene in Californias Inland Empire with smash hits on the local charts and throngs of fans flocking to their gigs. CHAINS - BEATLES OF EL PASO
LAST COPIES!! Initially gaining a modicum of fame in their home state of New York with the east coast surf/rock group The Dolphins, Roy and Tor Pinney eventually relocated to Texas and (both separately and together) found much greater success with the Chains, whose version of "I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart anymore" was a regional smash. Referred to as "The Beatles of El Paso", The Chains recorded four singles - all examples of 1960's garage rock at it's finest. This first ever compilation of the Pinney brothers' 60's music includes all of the 45s released by The Dolphins and The Chains as well as many never-before-heard and previously unreleased demos and acetates- along with additional bonus tracks that represent the earliest musical highlights of two very talented brothers. Tracks: 1. Chains - It's A Shame, 2. Chains - Cee C. Roc 3. Chains - A Walk In The Woods 4. Chains - How Do You Feel 5. Chains - I Aint Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore 6. ELECTRIC PRUNES - COMPLETE REPRISE SINGLES
Though the Electric Prunes were responsible for some of the boldest and most experimental pop of the late 60s, they always were, more than just about any band of their ilk, a singles-oriented act, at least in their earliest incarnation. In fact, according to vocalist James Lowe, the engineers at American Recording, where many of their early singles were recorded, used to transmit the single mixes to a radio in a car parked outside the studio to make sure the songs sounded good in the medium through which most people would hear them. As a result, the Prunes singles were punchier than their album counterparts, and were, above all mono-yet to date, no legitimate collection has ever compiled these singles, many of which have never been on CD in their original mix. Now, for the first time, Real Gone Music has assembled all 23 of their original single sides for Reprise, which span several band lineups and several legendary producers (Dave Hassinger, David Axelrod) with very different visions, yet remain of remarkably consistent high quality. Richie Unterbergers notes include track commentary from the band and shots of the original singles themselves. Special bonus: the bands demonstration of the Vox Wah-Wah Pedal! First-ever legitimate collection of their wondrously adventuresome singles. Presented in original Mono mixes, which were markedly different from album versions. Liner notes include track commentary by band members. Photos of band and singles included. Features "I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night)" and "Get Me to the World on Time". TRACKS: 1. Ain't It Hard 2. Little Olive 3. I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night) 4. Luvin 5. Get Me to the World on Time 6. Are You Lovin Me More 7. Dr. Do-Good 8. Hideaway 9. The Great Banana Hoax 10. FENMEN - SUNSTROKE
Prior to joining the Pretty Things in early 1967, Wally Waller and Jon Povey were members of another group from the same neighborhood, the Fenmen. Throughout 1965 and 66 the Fenmen crafted a strong harmony-based sound influenced by California groups like the Beach Boys, but retaining a strong English flavor. Their outstanding harmonies attracted the attention and praise of Graham Nash and Andrew Loog Oldham, who frequently employed them as backing singers on his sessions. SUNSTROKE presents a treasure trove of rare and unreleased Fenmen tracks, including 1965 demo recordings, a 1966 BBC radio session, a raw early 1963 acetate, and seven new tracks by Waller and Povey in the harmony-rich tradition of the Fenmen and the 1967-71 Pretty Things, including a breathtaking new arrangement of "The Sun." Old and new material flow together seamlessly to create a diverse listening experience in the tradition of your favorite classic albums. Youll want to file SUNSTROKE somewhere between Pet Sounds, Parachute, The Beach Boys Today and The Hollies Greatest Hits.

LIGHT (USA) - TURN ON...THE LIGHT
THE LIGHT was a dynamic, multi-talented supergroup from California's Inland Empire. Formed early 1967, the group united the brightest talents from two of the areas most popular garage bands, the Bush and the Northside Moss. After attracting the attention of Music Machine producer Brian Ross they recorded a single for A&M Records, a Jekyll & Hyde pairing featuring a gorgeous Left-Banke-style A-side "Music Box" and a fuzz-guitar monster flipside, "Back Up." By the end of the summer they had evolved into an incendiary West Coast psychedelic rock ensemble comparable to the Buffalo Springfield or Moby Grape, but with the dual lead guitar firepower of the Beck-Page Yardbirds. Turn on THE LIGHT is the first ever collection of the Lights music. It includes their sole 45 release plus 23 previously unreleased live and studio cuts. The full-color CD packaging includes a 16-page booklet with rare band photos plus track-by-track liner notes by the bands own Greg Eckler.

MUSTANGS - RIVERSIDE GARAGE LEGENDS
Two minutes and five seconds of tough fuzz, stomp and bad attitude, the Mustangs' 1965 single "That's For Sure" is considered one of the holy grails of sixties garage rock. That one, hopelessly rare 45 would be their only release. However, in January 1966 the Mustangs went into Locy Sound in Riverside, California, where they recorded 14 more songs, demonstrating not only their dynamism and versatility as a live cover band, but also their remarkable talent for original material, from wailing rockers to haunting Beatlesque ballads. Those tracks are presented here for the first time, along with "That's For Sure" and its grooving instrumental flipside "Nova Blues." This CD only release includes a full-color 16-page booklet packed with rare photos of the band, plus full liner notes by Mike Stax.

SCHEELINGS, PIM - Q65: THE BOOK
ENGLISH VERSION. 208 pages with tons of rare photos, interviews and discography. The five original members of Q65 first banded together in The Hague in the Netherlands in 1965. Joop Roelofs, Frank Nuyens, Willem Bieler, Peter Vink and Jay Baar were an unlikely, often volatile gang of outcasts and misfits, but with their raw, unconventional music and rowdy, unkempt image they quickly built up a large and fiercely loyal following. Their first record, "Youre the Victor," kicked off a string of hit singles for the group including "The Life I Live," "From Above" and "World of Birds." Their 1966 debut LP, Revolution, sold over 50,000 copies, topping the Dutch album charts ahead of new releases by the Rolling Stones, the Troggs and the Animals. By 1969 it had all fallen apart, but in the few short years they were together Q65 recorded some truly extraordinary music. They continue to be regarded, quite rightly, as one of the great, unsung bands of the era. Pim Scheelings has captured their story in all its strange, stoned, comical, complicated, tragic glory-the drink, the drugs, the fights and, of course, the music-all discussed and dissected in frank, often brutally honest words by the surviving band members and their collaborators. This is the story of Q65: no punches pulled-the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr9d17h4Xl4

JACK RUBY - HIT & RUN/BAD TEETH
1974 unissued proto-punk-noise demos from a so-far unknown NYC act. The Stooges were an obvious influence, but Captain Beefheart too, among many other non-comformist things. Following the late discoveries of Rocket From The Tombs, Electric Eels, Simply Saucer... another missing piece in the puzzle of punk rock is finally uncovered. This early line-up of the band included No Wave artist Boris Policeband and future writer Randy Cohen (who worked for David Letterman and the New York Times among other things).

ALTAR OF OBLIVION - SINEWS OF ANGUISH (2LP)
LIMITED DOUBLE VINYL VERSION. A brand new Epic Heavy Metal band with Doom touches has emerged from the great Denmark. I received their Demo in 2007 and was blown away by the potential this band had. Martin (guitarist/songwriter) has a really unique riffing style that I love. The riffs are really catchy, heavy, and choppy (for lack of a better word). When you finally get used to his guitar playing youll find out its a signature sound that he developed. The combination of the Epic styled songwriting with some really subtle Doom-y sections mixed with the very young, talented, and uniquely distinct Mik on vocals puts this band to the top of the Epic Heavy/Doom metal scene. If you liked the demo at all (by the way "Wrapped In Ruins" is again featured on this new album) the new album is definitely were you would have wanted the band to be by this time because the songwriting has exceeded the expectation. This album is a full-on conceptual, emotional trip about the pain, suffering, and horrors of war. With that in mind, expect nothing but crushing riffs filled with sorrow, despair, and with powerful vocals with so much emotion, depending on your mood might bring a tear to your eye. ALTAR OF OBLIVION are keeping the Epic Doom torch a flame that was started by the great and well respected bands like CANDLEMASS, SOLSTICE, SOLITUDE AETURNUS, REVELATION, TROUBLE, etc.

CANDLEMASS - PSALMS FOR THE DEAD (MARBLED) (2LP)
Very limited special MARBLED GOLD/BLACK vinyl version. "Psalms for the Dead" is the Swedish doom metal legend's swansong. Contrary to the rampant rumors, the band will not be splitting up, but rather concentrating on live performances. CANDLEMASS' final studio album shows a band at the top of their game and it will soon earn the cult status it well deserves. The release is filled with such highlights as "Dancing in the Temple of the Mad Queen Bee" or the sweeping opening track "Prophet", which beautifully showcases the band's strengths. Singer Robert Lowe (SOLITUDE AETURNUS) embellishes the songs with his characteristic vocals and sounds as though he has been a part of CANDLEMASS from the band's early beginnings. The powerful and crystal-clear production delivers a first-class sound that will send shivers down one's spine.

DRAGONSLAYER - DRAGONSLAYER (2LP)
LIMITED 2 LP SET! This long-forgotten band from the N.W.O.B.H.M. is finally un-earthed for the first time ever since the 80s. They were originally called HEAVY THUNDER and then quickly changed their name to be the very first band with the name SLAYER! Some of this album contains songs when they were called SLAYER, the others of course were eventually DRAGONSLAYER. SLAYER/DRAGONSLAYER never really had a record deal and only one official release (as DRAGONSLAYER), which was a 3 song 7" Single/E.P. back in 1984. This release combines their efforts from their 1982 Demo, 1984 7" Single, and 1986 Demo. For the first time ever all of these songs will be officially released still in their original quality. Its a shame this band was never picked up by a label back then because if there ever was a truly underground N.W.O.B.H.M. band that was looked over, it was Dragonslayer! Theres a huge early JUDAS PRIEST influence here, also the usual SCORPIONS, UFO, DEEP PURPLE, SABBATH influence as well. I really think the songwriting is amazing, layered with solid high vocals, catchy riffs, and memorable choruses, you know the stuff the N.W.O.B.H.M. was built on. For the first time ever DRAGONSLAYER would love to consider this their very first album, but really its a double album! Tracks: 1. The Slayer 2. Run Like Hell 3. Blind Terror 4. I Want Your Life 5. Satan Is Free 6. Broken Hearts 7. Man In The Dark 8. Hammer Head 9. Lady Of The Night 10. Rock With Me 11. Lies In Your Eyes 12. Dragon Drums 13. The Hunger 14. Satan's Soldiers 15. The Battle Is On 16. Catch Me

ENERGY VAMPIRES - ENERGY VAMPIRES (2LP)
In 1989 ENERGY VAMPIRES rose out of the ashes of the cult legendary US Metal band SLAUTER XSTROYES whom I happen to think are one of the greatest metal bands ever. The only member from SLAUTER XSTROYES to form this band was lead vocalist Jonathon Stewart, which to me is still one of the best vocalists ever. Infact, he's right up there with legandary voices such as Rob Halford and King Diamond, if not better. The music is very much a continuation of legendary SLAUTER XSTROYES sound and even 2 songs from the SLAUTER days were re-recorded on this album. This was originally only released as a tape of 500 copies back in the early 90's. You can check out some great videos of them on www.youtube.com. Absolutely essential album with bonus tracks. One of the bonus songs was just recently finished in 2007 as an extra treat for you and me! Both CD and LP versions will have some of the most amazing band photos I've ever seen. IRONSWORD - OVERLORDS OF CHAOS (BLACK) (2LP)
Limited edition in deluxe gatefold sleeve. The one and only IRONSWORD, hailing from Portugal is back with a very long anticipated album! Going strong for well over a decade now, IRONSWORD is the only band that is not only influenced by the Epic Metal masters, MANILLA ROAD, but they are the only band that sounds closest to MANILLA ROAD (somewhere in the Open The Gates/The Deluge/Mystification era MANILLA ROAD). Speaking of MANILLA ROAD, there will be a special appearance of Mark Shelton singing along with Tann (what an honor)!!! "Overlords Of Chaos" is going to be their 3rd full-length effort and to me sounds much more focused and diverse. The overall song writing is more developed, memorable, and with more catchy chorus lines than the 2 previous, but classic albums. This album from the amazing artwork provided by Martin Hanford to the last note on the album will blow all fans of Epic Metal away!

WHISPERHEAD - 31000
Whisperhead is a metal band with a twist, hailing from the Netherlands, with black metal heritage. The band consists of two people: Sademaara and Shagra, with Sademaara composing as well as playing all the instruments, and Shagra writing the lyrics and performing the vocals. The Whisperhead concept was first conceived during the summer of 2011 with the idea of combining science fiction storytelling and music. For the 'The Presage'-trilogy, most of our inspiration has been and continues to be drawn from the Warhammer 40,000 universe and the Norwegian black metal movement of the early 1990s. This is Whisperhead's debut album, 31,000, which is part one of the trilogy: 'The Presage'. This first part is the culmination of over a year of hard work and to a certain degree was inspired by the writings from The Black Library and the Warhammer 40,000 universe. In this trilogy, the music interprets and follows the story about the most promising son of the Emperor of mankind as he descends into madness. For fans of: WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM, ULVER and Norwegian black metal in general.

ARGUS (USA) - ARGUS (SHADOW KINGDOM)
With those of you familiar with Butch era PENANCE (USA Classic Doom), you already know how great his vocals are and those of you who arent will learn soon. ARGUS, a new and hungry band from the USA are very well versed with the Maryland Doom Metal and Epic Heavy Metal scene. They released a very well written Demo in 2007 on John Brenners Bland Hand Records as a download. For those of you that loved the Demo like I did, this is what you would expect their full length to sound and then some! THE LORD WEIRD SLOUGH FEG fans are going to go absolutely nuts over this album for the sheer volume of twin axe guitar shredding alone!! There are a lot of catchy, layered riffs on top of many hooks and sing a long choruses. On top of all these well-written Epic songs, there are TROUBLE-eque Doom Metal break downs to die for feathered throughout the album. Shall I say "instant classic"? Thats for you to decide. Look for them to release a 10" EP on one of my favorite labels, The Miskatonic Foundation in the near future as well.

CASSLE - CASSLE
Formed in the late '70s its not a surprise that Cassle has inherited those influences, in particular Deep Purple, Rush, and Judas Priest. Also since their original EP wasnt released until 1983, they definitely have a lot of Iron Maiden and Saxon in their sound as well. I dont think Id call Cassle a metal band though (even though their pictures look like they are). They are probably more of a Progressive Rock band with '80s metal influences. This is some unique music, very off-beat, dreamy, and moody with strange vocals. Their career was very short lived and some of the unreleased songs on here are arguably just as strong as the original EP if not better. This is basically a collection of all their essential material with an nice thick booklet for your enjoyment.

CONDENADOS - A PAINFUL JOURNEY INTO NIHIL
A relatively new Doom Metal band hailing from Chile; with a very traditional Heavy Metal / Doom Metal sound. The majority of the songs are sung in English, only a few are sung in Spanish. Carrying the old flame of Black Sabbath and Saint Vitus; Condenados takes those influences to create an ultra heavy and hypnotic rhythm and riff driven album while all sung in clean vocals. The album is an epic and emotional journey to explore the dark side of your mind.

CRISIS (USA) - ARMED TO THE TEETH (2CD)
Obscure US 80's Metal band CRISIS formed back in 1980. Taking a heavy dose of their influences from MOTORHEAD, RAVEN, IRON MAIDEN, and the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, it wasn't to big of a suprise that they got signed to an English label, Bullet Records. Their debut came out in 1984 "Armed To The Teeth" and of course their music was much bigger in Europe than the USA because they weren't being another Motley Crue or Quiet Riot band. After the well received first album, the band's label went bankrupt and the second album "Kick It Out" failed to reach European distributors and their established fans. The band struggled on and eventually called it quits. This release contains the band's entire career on a double disc with a full color booklet with the band's history and lyrics.

CROWNED IN EARTH - VISIONS OF THE HAUNTED
Crowned in Earth was formed by Kevin Lawry in 2008. After forming his own Death / Doom band, Silent Winter, Kevin decided to venture more into the traditional side of Doom and Epic Doom Metal, drawing his main influences from Reverend Bizarre, Cathedral, and Black Sabbath. After a self-released EP (on CD-R) the foundation was laid down to make a bigger step into creating a full-length album with a stronger focus on the songwriting. With the progress of the new songs coming along, the recruit of drummer Darin McCloskey (Pale Divine, Falcon, ex Sinister Realm) stepped into play on the album. With the distance of 2 guys, you wouldnt be able to tell they werent in the same room while this was recorded. The songs remind me (but really hard to pinpoint) of a blend of a few different styles, like Reverend Bizarre, Lord Vicar, The Obsessed, with a small dose of Italian Horror church organs like Paul Chain, Black Hole, or Death SS might put together, but with a cleaner recording. The album is extremely well produced considering the nature of how this all came together.

DEATH MASK - EXHUMINATION
Deep beneath the Maryland Doom Metal scene in the mid to late 80s DEATH MASK emerged for a short time period. They hardly played that much and went unknown to virtually many Doom Metal collectors because were never able to get this because it was only available as a 6 track demo known as "The Beginning", and it probably didnt get too far outside the Maryland area (I assume). This is a unique band to say the least, but also a very magical sounding band where there are some moments in the music where your jaw will just drop to the sheer innovativeness of the way they put these riffs and songs together. Tom (the guitar player) plays some of the sickest riffs Ive ever heard. Some of the stuff this guy comes up with is out of this world. Some of the songs they put together have like 5-7 amazing riffs in one song whereas a lot of bands rely on 1 or 2 good riffs to carry out a song (which isnt a bad thing either). I hear a ton of ANGEL WITCH, CELTIC FROST, DREAM DEATH, TROUBLE in their darker / doom-y sounds and in their faster thrash-y parts, theres a heavy VENOM, MOTORHEAD vibe. In short theyre best described as a Doom Metal, Thrash Metal band with amazing break downs. The vocals are an acquired taste like a wasted VENOM/MOTORHEAD-ish sound, but one things for sure, this band is the definition of HEAVY!

DEEP SWITCH - NINE INCHES OF GOD (2CD)
The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal in my opinion has basically 2 eras. The first era is from 1979 to 1981 which is considered the big boom of Heavy Metal. The 2nd era is from 1982 to 1986-ish. So taking us into the mid 80s a band from the U.K. emerged called Deep Switch. They looked and sounded like no other band and that still holds true today. They never really took heavy metal too seriously, but that doesn't mean their music wasn't serious, because it was, although it was laced with a lot of humor. I think Deep Switch was more influenced by Monty Python than heavy metal. This is extremely unique and original material. Even if you're not into obscure N.W.O.B.H.M., you should at least treat yourself to hearing this just for the experience. The release consists of 2 CDs, the first one being their classic album, while the 2nd disc is a collection of all their demos. They had a very short lived career, but a very long-winded tale of their history is written inside this massive booklet along with ton of band photos. This band is so original and unique I really couldn't even point you to some other similar sounding bands.

Demontage is one of the finest new talents that are hidden this gigantic sea of new and average bands out there. With so much music out there you got to wonder whats new, unique, and good out there these days. If youre a fan of anything that involves old 80s Black, Thrash, or Traditional Metal, look no further than this band. Whats simply amazing about them is their ability to play a lot different styles of Heavy Metal in chaos, yet blend them ever so smoothly is something no less of a great accomplishment. I know that might sound strange or crazy, but youll understand what I mean when you listen to the album. For fans of just about everything the 80s had to offer in quality. GARDEN OF WORM - GARDEN OF WORM
Finally the time has come for Garden Of Worm to release a full length album. For quite some time now they've been slowly putting out demos and Eps since 2004 to experiment and carve out their own unique brand of Heavy / Progressive Doom Metal. I'd say they've definitely found their own dramatic sound here with this new material. The elements of Progressive is very dominate, with sounds that range from upbeat to mournful in a blink of an eye. This is an extremely wavy ride to get on and it's going to require repeated listens and your undivided attention to fully absorb and appreciate this work of art. REVELATION / AGAINST NATURE fans will probably be attracted to this album the most as it's similar in the approach, but the execution pans out to be much different.

The 80s Japan Heavy Metal scene is loaded with a ton of great bands and some of those bands are some of the very best bands in the world. When I think of some of the best vocalists out there with that ability there are 3 names that spring to mind; King Diamond, which we all know, Jonathon Stewart (from SLAUTER XSTROYES and ENERGY VAMPIRES), which some of us know, and the guy in this band (GENOCIDE (Nippon)), Toshihiro Takeuchi. Talk about dynamics, this guy has it all; melodic, imagination, crazy, high falsetto, and he does it in English and Japanese in the same song. Thats not all this band is good for though. The guitar players here are unbelievable! Theyve got an amazing style like Denner and Shermann once had back in the early MERCYFUL FATE days and a lot of their sound has a Doomy feel to it also. This is one of the very best hidden gems in all of Japan and this is top 1-5 records (depending on my mood) of all-time that came out of that country. This re-issue will include re-issue artwork requested by the band. A big thank you goes out to Nicola Solieri for providing this amazing cover. Dont worry, the original cover is provided on the flip side of the booklet. Expect a re-mastered sound with a booklet of photos, lyrics, and a full band history from the 70s to today. CD 2 has unreleased demo versions!!

HAND OF DOOM - POISONOISE (2CD)
Who in the hell on Earth is THE HAND OF DOOM you ask? Sorry Doom Metal nuts, theyre not Doom at all. BUT. good news, theyre an incredible heavy band from Germany that originally had a limited press album from 1979. You might be surprised when I tell you theyre really a Heavy Rock N Roll Punk / (proto/early) Metal band, and very similar to the early bands that started the N.W.O.B.H.M. that combine early Punk Rock and fused it with Heavy Rock. I think this band will appeal to fans of (of course) 70s era MOTORHEAD, DISCHARGE, BRATS (pre-MERCYFUL FATE band), MC5, THE STOOGES, THE CLASH, SEX PISTOLS, SARCOFAGUS, ACCEPT, 70s era JUDAS PRIEST, DIAMOND HEAD, and all fans of the N.W.O.B.H.M. This is a very unique sounding band, really hard to describe their sound (which is a good thing). This release has 10 bonus tracks (some unreleased).

IRON MAN - BLACK NIGHT
Very few bands come close to sounding like the classic BLACK SABBATH, but I think IRON MAN along with WITCHFINDER GENERAL, PENTAGRAM, and PAGAN ALTAR are the closest from the beginning. IRON MAN is a very special band to the underground heavy metal scene which craves for those fans who seek dark/doomy sounds that SABBATH created and really there are not many bands that even dared to try to re-create SABBATH with their own twist, but I feel IRON MAN have done so without being a cut and paste rip off band. This first album marks a birth of one of the few bands like I mentioned above who dove in head first into that dark atmosphere. This album is all about the riffs and heaviness, which if SABBATH themselves would ever hear this, they probably would be impressed too. There wasnt much salvaged from the early days of IRON MAN , so the photos are limited, but we were able to re-master the album to make it sound as heavy as possible.

IRON MAN - I HAVE RETURNED
Iron Man's guitar player/song writer Al Morris III has been writing the most savage/heaviest sounding guitar riffs for over 2 decades now! I cannot stress enough to Heavy Metal fans out there that if you haven't heard Iron Man, find something FAST! You're missing out on some of the most mind-bending groove-laden (Maryland) Doom metal around. It's a shame they never got the recognition they deserve, yet! I'm hoping to help change that for them for their forthcoming album "I Have Returned". I've listened to this album a million times already and I can firmly tell everyone this is the very best underground recording I've ever heard on an independant label. This recording sounds like it should be on a major label and I didn't even mention the superior songwriting yet! The songs are very well written and catchy, I'm convinced there's not a stale riff in Al Morris's soul! The man is a guitar god!! Louis is a top-notch bass player, Dex's drums are thunderous and just about as balanced as it gets, and Joe's vocal performance is far beyond my expectation. I'm incredibly honored the band and their manager had faith in me to release their album and it's going to be a pleasure to read, hear, and see the reactions of metal fans far and wide with this release. I think this could have a MAJOR impact on the Heavy Metal scene in 2009.

IRON MAN - THE PASSAGE (+DVD)
Coming into the 2nd album, IRON MAN ended up replacing their singer Rob Levey with a different and arguably better singer, Dan Michalak. Dan sings in a much higher register than Rob did and this definitely pushes IRON MAN to the top of their game. Al Morris continues to write crushing riffs on this album and with the combination of that, plus the new singer, I see this album being a fan favorite. This release includes a re-mastered version of the original release, plus a bonus (promo) video of the song "Iron Warrior", and a separate DVD that includes a ton of live stuff.

IRONSWORD - OVERLORDS OF CHAOS

JAMESON RAID - JUST AS THE DUST HAD SETTLED
Talk about another quality N.W.O.B.H.M. band that again fell under the radar. Again, plagued by the music industry, they never reached as many ears as they would have liked back then. The band formed in the late 70s and wrote some of the catchiest tunes imaginable from that era. The "Seven Days Of Splendour" single features some of the best tunes ever created back then and when you pick this anthology of songs presented here, youll agree the quality is here. I could play "Its A Crime" on repeat for days and never get sick of that riff. The vocals are pretty straight forward, with a slightly unique pitch and tone to them. I cant imagine any collector of N.W.O.B.H.M. not wanting this for their collection. Let the music speak for itself.

LORD WEIRD SLOUGH FEG - THE SLAY STACK CROWS (2CD)
Some of you might not know that THE LORD WEIRD SLOUGH FEG have been going strong since 1990! My god hardly anyone knew them back then, but they were onto something unique and special from way back then. Their earliest recordings featured Omar as the singer instead of what (most) everyone is used to . Mike Scalzi singing. Their early stuff is really rough 80s sounding metal with the obvious THIN LIZZY influence and a dash of Punk Rock. After all the years it is finally nice to see a band like this get a lot of press and success in the underground. Im so pleased and incredibly honored to announce this release of their earliest live and demo recordings all put together on one release. If you are a fan of THE LORD WEIRD SLOUGH FEG and are used to their ultra clean and crisp sound, youre not going to find it here. This release is for the ultra diehard fans and youll be happy to know there are 6 unreleased songs (2 which are cover songs) and a really entertaining interview with Mike Scalzi at the end of the album.

OGRE - PLAGUE OF THE PLANET
USA 70's/80's (sounding) Rock/Doom Metal hybrid band OGRE have been together since 1999. They have a unique sound combining the elements of BUDGIE, BLOODROCK, PENTAGRAM, BLACK SABBATH, RUSH, AC/DC, etc with a Bon Scott/Ozzy styled vocalist that would appeal to any Rock or Metal fan. OGRE has put 2 very solid and well respected albums out, "Dawn Of The Proto-Man" and "Seven Hells". With their 3rd release out, the band shows no signs of writer's cramp or slowing down. "Plague Of The Planet" will not disappoint old fans and will impress potential new fans! Inspired by such classic albums as "2112", "Dark Side of the Moon", and "Music from the Elder", "Plague of the Planet" is a full-on concept album, consisting of a single multi-part epic suite that sends the listener on a journey filled with pulverizing riffs, extended jams, over-the-top vocals, and such familiar OGRE obsessions as giant robots, dog-men, death, doom, and war. Plague of the Planet is more than just a self-contained concept, however. Over the course of the albums 38 minutes, the band incorporates lyrical motifs and musical themes from OGRE songs going as far back as its 2000 demo, making Plague of the Planet the ultimate distillation of the epic OGRE sound.

OLD YRON - OLD YRON
The Italian 80s metal scene is one of my favorites of all time. Bands like BLACK HOLE, DARK QUARTERER, DEATH SS, PAUL CHAIN, BULLDOZER, RUN AFTER TO, NECRODEATH, BERSERKS are some of the better bands from that era. Id like to think that OLD YRON towards the end of the 80s was an unknown forgotten gem for the time of its release, especially since the tides were changing and this kind of IRON MAIDEN-esque heavy metal was beginning to die out in popularity while new genres started to emerge. I think this release was really unknown to a lot of people considering it was a DIY pressing. Here you will find extremely fast heavy metal, but not Thrash. OLD YRON had a very violent lead guitar layered with shredding riffs and over the top high pitched vocals. Think IRON MAIDEN meets YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, but without going overboard with the guitar shredding. The band has absolutely no demos, rehearsals, or any other music except for this album as far as we know. There were no master tapes so the best option the band wanted to do was to rip the music directly from the original vinyl. The only bonus tracks we could come up with was some dark classical music written by Antonio Ferrari in the early 2000s. Antonio talks about putting OLD YRON back together, but no one really knows if its going to happen or even what it will sound like. So enjoy this for what it is, a lost gem re-mastered the best we could get it.

PALE DIVINE - CRIMSON TEARS
For well over a decade now, PALE DIVINE have grinded its teeth into the ultimate sounds of classic 70s Rock and Doom Metal. They have come a long way and really carved their own niche and sound in the underground, slicing off influences from dinosaurs like BLACK SABBATH, LEAFHOUND, SIR LORD BALTIMORE, CANDLEMASS, TROUBLE, ST. VITUS, JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, the legendary Maryland Doom Metal scene headed by PENTAGRAM/BEDEMON/DEATH ROW, ASYLUM, THE OBSESSED, IRON MAN, etc. By playing that style, it was only natural that Mr. Rich Walker from THE MISKATONIC FOUNDATION would give them the well-deserved attention they needed and placed one of their best songs "Serpents Path" on the very first MISKATONIC (compilation) release, "At The Mountains Of Madness". Right after that, they released their first Demo "Crimson Tears" on cassette format only. Now after all this time not being in circulation, its getting the royal treatment it deserves. Re-mastered with 2 rare bonus live tracks with liner notes, original and also rare cover art, this release is for all the die-hard Doom Metal fans, PALE DIVINE fans, and for those of you who are new to this band; this is the perfect place to start checking them out, right at the beginning. tracks: 1. REACTOR - THE REAL WORLD
Back in the late 70s Richard Kueht and Paul Trowbridge played guitar in PENTAGRAM before being replaced by Victor Griffin, who were all familiar with. They hooked up with Steve Angel (singer/bass) and drummer Ronnie Sharpe and formed REACTOR. They played some live gigs in the mid 80's, one that is featured in this release. Shortly after the gig, Richard moved down to Florida and was replaced by Mike Reid, and at that time renamed the band THE REAL WORLD. They ended up only recording a 6 song studio EP which is the first 6 songs off of this release, that was never released until now. As far as their sound is concerned, it just came out natural for them, nothing forced, just basically some guys jamming good old SABBATH/PENTAGRAM influenced dirty Rock N Roll with a "social relevant" lyrical message to the fans. The music is raw, heavy, and catchy. After many line-up changes (even Joe Hasselvander (he played guitar) was in the band at one point), they decided to call it quits as it was more or less something for these guys to hang around and do with no pressure and to let off some steam rather than a band looking to go somewhere. This is one of the most obscure 80s bands around the Maryland/Virginia area, but I can tell you this is without a shadow of doubt quality Heavy Metal/Rock and deserves to be in anyones metal collection whos looking to complete their Maryland/Virginia Doom collection.

REVELATION - NEVER COMES SILENCE (2CD)
Coming into their sophomore album, Revelation ended up losing their bass player, Bert Hall (to pursue other music) and recruited Josh Hart. The album started off as a demo and was also the album where the band felt like they had corrected their mistakes on the "Salvations Answer" debut. Shortly after they finished writing the entire album, the band had good fortune to meet up with Hellhound Records who happened to be signing a lot of the local Doom Metal bands. This album is sort of a tribute to hard times John Brenner was going through and shortly after the album came out, he left the band until the turn of the century. This is a staple album in the Doom Metal genre and surely is a great mix of Black Sabbath and Rush, which could be considered as Progressive Doom if you want to get technical. Theres a bonus gig on the multimedia CD that you can watch on your computer with this line up of John, Josh, and Steve.

SERPENT'S KNIGHT - SILENT KNIGHT OF MYTH AND DESTINY
2CD. Back in the mid-late 80s a lot of people were familiar with the legendary band Sanctuary because of they were able to sign a deal with a big label and with the help of Dave Mustaine were able to make a name for themselves. But lets take a step back before this band and here we are with Serpents Knight featuring the very well respected and well-known, Warrel Dane. This was the very first heavy metal band he was in. The band was never able to make a proper recording of the songs, just tried to do the best they could with home recording equipment. So keep in mind the music was saved on tapes after all these years and then re-mastered by Brad Poland himself in 2009. The music on these old tapes was very well written, dark, and featured some insanely high pitched vocals. Its a long story (which you will read in the CD booklet) but the band split up, Warrel went on to do Sanctuary and the rest was history. In the late 80s Brad was able to find a new singer and wanted to make another album, so they did and in this package youll get both albums in a double CD set.

STYGIAN SHORE - THE SHORE WILL ARISE
STYGIAN SHORE is from Wichita, Kansas (USA) where their main influence and legendary band MANILLA ROAD is from. STYGIAN SHORE play Epic Metal/Heavy Rock similar to bands from the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal and also take influence from more well known bands such as BLACK SABBATH and AC/DC. This official release (for the first time ever) features 12 brand new, never before heard songs, plus a re-recorded version of their hit song "Tidal Wave" that was originally released in the band's debut EP by Mark Shelton's Roadster Records back in 1984! This album was supposed to be released in 1989, but never was until now. It is a lost gem from the 80's, and certainly the band's best work and far superior to their well-received debut EP from 1984. This comes with a full biography of the band's history, beautiful full-color booklet with lyrics and band photos. Don't miss out!

WOLFBANE - WOLFBANE
The N.W.O.B.H.M. technically speaking was the best Heavy Metal movement of all -time. There are still bands today that grab influence from that era of music and will continue to do so for as long as I live because thats where it all stems from, all these genres of music, from thrash, to death, to black, to God knows what else, this movement needs the credit it deserves! Since there was such a big boom of bands that came out of that movement, a TON of bands fell beneath the cracks and became obscure quickly. Theres still mountain of heavy metal that needs to be kept alive and heard from old to new metal heads. Here we are today with a perfect example of an amazing band that not only fell beneath the cracks, but really never even put out an album, just a couple of demo tapes before they went on to become a really good Thrash metal band called BLOOD MONEY. They are arguably one of the best 80s Thrash bands to come out of the U.K. WOLFBANE, now lets get down to business here. Think early PRIEST and BLACK SABBATH mixed with PAGAN ALTAR styled vocals and a sprinkle of RUSH and ALICE COOPER for good measure and somewhere in that mess of great bands lies the sound of WOLFBANE. This is one of the very best obscure gems to ever be released from this movement and because the band never recorded an album, and they really didnt keep much memorabilia from those days. Here youre going to get the first 2 demo tapes from 1981 and 1982 re-mastered and this is all the essential material you need. There was a 3rd demo tape, but they went for a pop radio sound and wasnt worthy to put on the release.

From exquisite mid-60s pop balladry ('Deep Velvet') to blue-eyed soul ('You Don't Have To Alibi') to folk-rock ('Tired Of Waiting') to solo Chamberlain creations ('Red Sports Car') to gospel testifying ('O Jesus My Saviour') to a pair of patriotic screeds (the all-spoken word 'America The Not So Beautiful' and the bizarre world lounge funk of 'Search Out Your Soul, American'), this collection continues the rehabilitation of Keith's legacy from thrift-shop throwaway to celebrated cult artist. GASTALDI, NELSON - SYMPHONY NO. 3: SIDDHARTA GAUTAMA
...O E1 Poder De La Nada'. When psycho-spatial composer NELSON GASTALDI passed away in 2009 at the age of 77, he left behind a unique musical legacy that is only now beginning to be unveiled. A self-described "musical nihilist with noble and mystic origins" (as well as an accomplished visual artist), Gastaldi supported himself and his family with a job at an electric company in Buenos Aires, Argentina, while creating an astonishing body of work that went virtually unheard during his lifetime. Synthesizing into his music a wide range of interests (medicine, linguistics, Chinese and German philosophy), he welcomed paranormal and initiatic experiences into the compositional process, creating homemade Sibelius-meets-Sun Ra symphonies. The only previous publication of his work was in Bananafish #18, which featured an excerpt of Symphony No. 3 on an accompanying CD. The same issue also contains his sole English-language interview, where he says, "The human being runs at the side of a river. When he is young, he runs faster than the river; in mid-life he runs at the same speed as the river; and at last he falls down and the river keeps going." Download coupon included.

JAWS - STRESS TEST
Los Angeles-based and performance-oriented, JAWS employs slithering electronics, confessional narrative, and impromptu stratagems that brim the optics, confuse the mind and engage the body. 'Stress Test' is the overheated, heaving combination of high-ratchet club dynamics, materially constrained tempos, the island/cosmos hive mind, time-sided protest music and the endless highway thrust imbued in all of us. Edition of 300.

MUDBOY - IMPOSSIBLE DUETS
Last temptation of Raphael Lyon's Mudboy, after dozen recordings as the seminal This is Folk Music (Last Visible Dog, 2005) and exciting Hungry Ghosts (Not Not Fun, 2007) the doctor of experimental organomics explore new approaches to his personal hallucinations. The works on this album are only the hapless product of stumbling fingers, hammered out by so many orangutans fighting over garbage. In these four small handholding adventures, Mudboy takes no more than he can give. If he had the opportunity to sit down with Brian Eno or Philip K Dick and talked through their collaboration, he would have said: "You have done your half, please allow me to do mine". Ltd. 500.

POPOL GLUANT - SOLO PIANO
Hand cut paper, silkscreened vinyl, limited 300 copies. Popol Gluant is the obscene creature of Hendrik Hegray, the guy with moustache behind the observatory for contemporary outsider drawings called Nazi Knife. Pretty infamous for his own intense live performances, Hendrik collected a lot of tapes during the years but he relly can't edit so he decided to send a selection of some crappy cassettes with some notes to ST at Hundebiss Records. The result is a fluorescent creeping lava, moving from schizoid collage to droney obsession for coming back in a burlesque avant-garde parody.

ATRAX MORGUE - ESTETIK OF A CORPSE
The sadistic industrial spurts of Atrax Morgue, are secretions of body fluids converted into noise stinging and nauseous and his work is an unhealthy, stinking container, with most depraved delusions that the human brain can give birth. The thirteen splinters of Esthetik Of A Corpse were recorded in spring 1995 and released on tape by Slaughter Productions. The tracks on here are monolithic machines of industrial death that are portrayed in lovingly grating and rasping detail, with engines of soul rapine and pulsating, screaming contraptions eager to slice their way through soft flesh. The putrescence is tangible, and one could almost smell and taste the miasma of decay that pervades the entire vinyl. Remastered at Elettroformati in August 2012 with the permission of the Corbelli's family. The record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label and black inner sleeve (with inside polyethylene plastic) and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve, limited to 99 copies w/insert in luxury 160 gr ivory paper.

ATRAX MORGUE - I VIZI MORBOSI DI UNA GIOVANE INFERMIERA
'Atrax Morgue is the anxious and psychotic side of electronic noise. With the help of a analog synth, Marco blows up emotions and delusions, cutting out the hard way inspired portraits of phobias and deviations. Originally released on cassette under the title of 'Nursery Crime' in a special box limited to 50 copies and later reissued on cd-r in very few copies with the title 'I vizi morbosi di una giovane infermiera', is one of the most introspective and deep Atrax Morgue' s works. 'A vision, a blaze of sweetness and understanding. Then you return into the mechanism and those extreme emotions are already vanished. I still surprise myself thinking about death. I need an impossible surgery operation. If illness is life, the cure is death. Injections of static death.' ~from liner notes. Recorded winter 1999 at SweetSlaughter. Remastered spring 2012 at TwinOpera and reissue with the permission of the Corbelli's family. The record has been pressed on 140 gram red vinyl with red cross label and transparent sleeve, limited to 99 copies with insert in luxury 160 gram ivory paper.

MERZBOW - KIBBUTZ
Outstanding reissue, one of the best Merzbow albums ever made, originally released in 1983 on cassette by the Milanese label Adn, Kibbutz is a mlange of sounds made by Masami Akita aka Merzbow on drums, guitar and effects supported, in those years, by Kiyoshi Mizutani at the keyboards and recorded at Kitijoji Music Studio in Tokyo. In this first period, the sounds produced by the duo were amplified up to the distortion producing long sonic-anti psychedelic jam session. The three tracks on Kibbutz are extreme forays in the world of sound, ready to explode. LP has been remastered from Ampex analog tape and released in an edition limited to 199 copies on white vinyl.

SSHE RETINA STIMULANTS - SOULS AND WALTZES FROM THE...
...Telegraph Frontier". Following the trails of 2008's "Remote Aktion" LP on Diophantine, Sshe Retina Stimulants is back with a brand new slice of vinyl, stretching even further the conceptual and methodological framework of the previous work... starting from acoustic guitar as the only source input , environmental feedback effects and real-time manipulation / sampling have been applied to booze up the outcome and create a screaming thunderstorm of delighted noise. Totally dense bubbles inflate and burst like organic super-novas, exploring the forgotten areas of post (pre) apocalyptic soundscapes ... iridescent stratification and pathological arrangement lead through language and iconic references to buried cultures and ghost towns, longing for gates to unexpected forms of resistance to media oppression. Four long tracks build the case for another step in the current SRS infatuation for repressed anachronisms as tools for liberation.. laughing while deadly serious, globally serious while locally fixated: SLOW BLASTS & PERPETUAL WAILS. SOOTHING & DISTRESSED.A NEW GEOGRAPHY OF LOST MEMORY. LP comes in a deluxe silver silk screen on black cardboard sleeve limited to 120 hand numbered copies with insert.

VICE WEARS BLACK HOSE - PART 3
Inspired by the "GIALLO" film of the same title, Vice Wears Black Hose is the obsessed & fanatical project of Sam McKinlay (The Rita) and Richard Ramirez (Werewolf Jerusalem/Black Leather Jesus). VWBH's dives into the HNW (harsh noise walls) pool and completely drowns the listener in its dense, dark and pure sound. The two long tracks fall in a hardcore noise fashion between all out wall noise and tense roaring harsh noise storm that slowly shift through different deep grains of noise textures. After "Part 1" on limited tape by Arizona based noise label Cathartic Process and "Part 2" on limited cd by Violent Noise Atrocities, "Part 3" out now on LP in a deluxe silver silk screen on black cardboard sleeve limited to 120 hand numbered copies with insert and envelope inside a shred of black stockings. SOPHYA - THIRD WISH
Third Wish is deeply anchored in the traditional sound and production of Sophya. Delightful vocals, smooth basslines, guitars that carry you away to farther regions of your mind. All topped by touches of electronic elements that take your back in time. Third Wish certainly has its own character. With a fresh approach and strong beats, it shows yet another face of Sophya.".

Highlights include an astonishing recording of 'California Soul' and the utterly mind blowing renditions of 'Ball Of Confusion' and 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine', which are at least as spectacular as The Temptations' versions.  REAL GONE MUSIC
BUKOWSKI, CHARLES - READS HIS POETRY
"This is Charles Bukowski. Well, let me just sit here and drink beer." Thus begins the September 14, 1972 poetry reading from which this 1980 release on John Fahey's Takoma label is drawn. This is quintessential Bukowski, from the rude n crude drawing that adorns the front cover to the belches that punctuate the poems. As for the work itself, its not really what you'd commonly conceive of as poetry, but rather observations and vignettes drawn from lifes darker side, focusing on perversions, poverty, drunkenness, gambling, and bodily functions. But Bukowski's bemused air and selfdeprecating humor blunt the shock value of the words and emphasize the universality of the themes. "I want you to hate me," he says to the audience, but it's hopeless - he is one of us. Real Gone are rescuing this recording from the clinical, digital world of the compact disc and restoring it to its proper vinyl format. If there were ever an echo of the analog world, this album would be it. EXPLICIT MATERIAL. Side One: 1. Introduction 2. Creation of the Morning Line 3. Death 4. The Sex Fiends 5. "Love," He Said 6.
