French anarcho-punks Berurier Noir formed in Paris in 1983, intended to implode after one sole gig, but this intense mask-wearing duo, featuring Loran on guitar, François on vocals and a drum machine named De'de' caused pandemonium live, leading to distinctive LPs. Debut album 'Macadam Massacre' captures the group at their rawest, their non-conformist format and confrontational lyrics chronicling the squats and HLMs on the peripheries of French society. Deliciously dark and with jagged edges galore, it will appeal to the band's cult followers and all those interested in cutting-edge European punk and post-punk. Includes original poster replica and lyrics sheet.
