John Green, former guitarist with a.o. T.Rex and The Pretty Things, embarked on a solo-career in 1980. His debut-album 'Humanesque' offers an odd combination of new wave-affected power pop (think Tom Petty, or early Elvis Costello) and elements of glam that - some four decades later - hasn't lost any of its appeal.
