Born in Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy) in 1975, Irene Nonis started playing guitar at the age of 13 and wrote her first songs at 17. Her influences come from the American soul, with variations towards jazz and bossa (Sade, Paul Weller, Astrud Gilberto, Johnny Marr). Her voice shines on the two tracks included on this 7": 'This Love' is a blue-eyed soul track that moves between northern soul and Motown, while 'Night Stuff' has more of a '70s London nocturnal atmosphere, with a great bass line.
