BEN, JORGE/BABY CONSUELO - WAIMEA 55.000/CURTO DE VEU E GRINALDA

A rare Jorge Ben B-side from 1978, the awesome samba-disco-funk joint 'Waimea 55.000', returns to 7-inch. And to make things even better, it's backed here with a raw psychedelic hippy song, recorded by the excellent Baby Consuelo in 1970!

Active during the '70s, Fathili & The Yahoos came from Kenya. Their track on this split is soulful but raw, mid-tempo Afro-funk. These Wings had little to do with Sir Paul McCartney. No, this band hailed from Nigeria, specializing in bluesy disco, funk and soul moods ... read more »
