Drama has always been one of the most captivating of the Dutch one-album-bands in the early seventies. The band, featuring band members Polle Eduard (vocals, guitars), Ulli Grün (keyboards), Shell Shellekens (drums) and Frank van der Kloot (guitars, vocals), was founded from what was left of After Tea in 1971. Their album 'Drama' was recorded in the GTB Studios in The Hague with Hans van Oosterhout, who worked with Supersister and -after Drama- with the newly founded Alquin. The eight songs on the album show the wide musical interest of the band-members, culminating in a mixture of blues, post-psychedelica and dreamy west-coast orientated songs. In 1973, just a mere 18 months after their formation, Phonogram did not continue the contract and soon Drama split up. The band never reunited, but their album got some attention in 1997 when it was issued on CD by Pseudonym Records. Now, sixteen years later, the material of that s/t album forms the bulk of 'Melodrama'. This is a high quality pressing on 180-gram audiophile GOLD COLOURED vinyl, featuring five tracks from the original 1972-album, which are augmented by five previously unreleased recordings. Among them is a longer version of the Frank van der Kloot-penned 'No Doctor'. This LP on 180-gram vinyl comes housed in a deluxe fold out cover, full of rare memorabilia and exclusive liner notes featuring interviews with former band members. The recordings have been exclusively remastered from the original master-tapes. Music Style: Progressive Rock, Blues, Post-psychedelia, West Coast. Exclusively restored dynamic 24 bit remastering from the original master tapes.

'The Dark Side Of The Moon' tour began on January 20th 1972 at the UK's Brighton Dome, and concluded almost two years later at London's Rainbow Theatre, on November 4th '73. Covering the UK, US, Europe and Japan, there were two separate legs promoting the album, one in 1972 before the record's release and another in 1973 afterwards, together covering 128 shows. Pink Floyd first took the tour to the USA on April 4th 1972, and stayed there for a month. They went back for another jaunt in September '72, when they also performed 2 shows in Canada. By March 1973, the band were back in the States, and on 15th of the month, played at Philadelphia's Spectrum, where they put on one of the entire tour's best concerts. The 'Dark Side' set from this show - plus a couple of encores from the Floyd back catalogue - were recorded for live broadcast by WNEW FM Philadelphia and transmitted across the local area. This 2LP set now features this entire broadcast on vinyl for the first time, allowing fans to hear this remarkable gig, in many cases, for the first time. Comes on clear vinyl.

ZONE SIX - FULL MENTAL JACKET
Zone Six was founded in August 1997, when Dave (also known as Sula Bassana) got a concert request for Liquid Visions, but this band was not able to play the show. So Dave had the idea to form a new band just for this: Zone Six. The idea behind was to play long tranceful space- and acid-rock improvisations. Now, 26 years later, this project is still existing and has a new, dark and powerful album out. The basics were recorded within the first three days of March 2022, influenced/affected by the news of the just started Russian war on Ukraine. It took more than a year to do some overdubs and produce the whole album out of these jams/composings (in a few days/weekends).
In the track 'Slingshot,' which covers the whole A-side of the LP, you can hear some ghostly guitar sounds from the older Zone Six guitar player Rainer Neeff and some soprano sax by saxophone legend Gottfried Klier, who already played in the '70s in the band Engerling among many others and is now living around the corner from Dave. The playing time of the tracks is interesting too, leading to a interesting year in history and art: 1954. But that is only a funny sidenote. The LP comes on coloured 180 grams recycled wax made in Germany, plus download code, limited to 500 copies!

CLERKS - LIVE IN LONDON 1980
In 1980, The Clerks had built a reputation for delivering a lean 45-minute set of their own three-minute songs with a '60s sensibility and a pop punk energy. They had a loyal following and had supported bands like Spizz and Tenpole Tudor. The twelve songs on this LP were recorded at the Hope & Anchor in London. The recording is not of studio quality; it has been transferred, restored and edited but has no overdubs nor any other musical enhancements. Despite the growing reputation and record company interest, by the end of the year the band had split up.

The title refers to Margaret Thatcher's decision to go to war over the Falkland Islands in 1982, suggesting that she did so almost on a whim. 'Let's Start A War' reached the Indie Chart Top 10 when first issued in 1983, this album also includes the single 'Rival Leaders' which hit No. 11 in the Indie Chart. A classic of the 'UK82' hardcore punk sound that provides a blueprint for the decade of punk and metal to come, and all in the space of just over half an hour.

COUNT RAVEN - THE SIXTH STORM (2LP)
Twelve years might seem like an unusually long time to hibernate. Then again, Sweden's doom legends Count Raven is one of those rare few bands with absolutely nothing left to prove... In their early beginnings, Count Raven released not one or two but three bonafide doom classics in as many years. Really, either of 'Storm Warning' (1990), 'Destruction Of The Void' (1992) or 'High on Infinity' (1993) is as fine an example as you can find of that crushing, Sabbathian traditional doom - which at the time was spearheaded by the Swedes, alongside the bands of the Maryland doom scene. Count Raven also solidified their status with one of the most spectacular comeback albums in doom, 2009's 'Mammons War'. With such a track record, it had better be worth it if the raven is to spread its wings and grace gray autumn skies again, right? Despite some personnel changes around guitarist/singer Dan Fondelius, the outing 'The Sixth Storm' bears all the trademarks of a band that knows exactly what it is and where it comes from. Had Count Raven not been a band so typically not prone to cliches, 'Well Worth The Wait' would have been an apt album title.

For a soundtrack to the end of the world, there is no band better than Electric Wizard. As the COVID pandemic took hold in 2020 and lockdown restricted movement to your immediate surrounds, the legendary British doom outfit wondered if they might ever play live again. Out in the wilds of the English Westcountry where singer/guitarist Jus Oborn and guitarist Liz Buckingham live, the band descended into their crypt-like jam space to make a live album like no other. With no audience, and no actual plan to release what they came out with, they recorded themselves into a 16-track tape machine to capture their essence, their malevolence, their heaviness. "We'd been gigging for two years at that point, around America three times, going to Japan and Australia, and we were sounding pretty good by the end of it," says Jus. "When the pandemic happened, we thought, 'Fuck it, maybe we'll never play again.' So we went into the jam room and played the songs to get them on tape to capture how we were playing at the time." The final product, 'Black Magic Rituals And Perversions Vol. 1' is as raw and heavy as one would expect from The Wizard. For fans of Acid King, Sleep, Bongzilla, Eyehategod, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Thou, Weedeater, Black Sabbath.

CORPS DIPLOMATIQUE - DANS TA NUIT
Founded in Marseille by Olivier Aubin, Marie-Eve Bensussan, Patrick Loubet and Nicolas Plissie, cold wave group Corps Diplomatique remains shrouded in mystery. The band only released one 7-inch during its active days, 1988's 'Paradis I', in addition to appearing with three tracks on the 'La Muse Vénale' compilation, a holy grail for devotees of the French cold wave. Now the LP 'Dans Ta Nuit' brings us nine tracks from this cult band, dating back to the years 1984-1987, seven of which have never before appeared on vinyl. These cuts are raw and unembellished but not at the expense of dramatic tension.

Produced by Brian Paulson at River North Recorders in Chicago and released by Touch and Go Records in April 1991, the six songs on Spiderland methodically mapped a shadowy new continent of sound. The music is taut, menacing, and haunting; its structure built largely on absence and restraint, on the echoing space between the notes, but punctuated by sudden thrilling blasts of unfettered fury. 'Spiderland' spawned a new genre back then, frequently called post-rock, and came to be regarded as one of the most important and influential records of the past thirty years. The band broke up shortly before Spiderland was released. This reissue comes on dark blue vinyl.

Rich with the sound of birds outside the window, the creak of the piano bench, the thump of Emahoy's finger on the record button, they create a sense of place, of being near the artist while she records. Emahoy dreamt of releasing this music to a larger audience before her passing in March of 2023. Edition on gold vinyl.

Second album of Son Rompe Pera, the marimba-smashing band of brothers from Naucalpan, Estado De México, who have single-handedly defined the genre cumbia punk and captivated audiences around the world. The album, named after a street in Naucalpan where a couple of the brothers live/have lived, follows their 2020 debut 'Batuco,' and is also a complete departure from it. While 'Batuco' showcases a more folkloric, traditional sound by way of 9 covers, 'Chimborazo' delivers 12 original tracks that fiercely shake tradition at its roots. Much closer to what the world has come to know of the band's wild live shows, 'Chimborazo' is a mix of modern cumbia, tropical dance beats, hard-hitting punk, psychedelic guitars, traditional Mexican and Colombian rhythms, horns, and a pinch of dub and hip hop. It's an album that is as rebellious as it is reverent- gracefully embracing tradition while ripping it at the seams, one marimba mosh pit at a time. 'Chimborazo' is a celebration of the sounds and their legacies that connect unassuming corners of the world, of tradition and the necessity to mix it up in order to propel it forward, of Mexico, of Colombia, of family, of home, of marimbas, of punk, and the party that is being alive.
