BLUES CREATION - BLUES CREATION
Formed in Tokyo in 1969, Blues Creation made their mark with this ultra-rare debut album, a raw and electrifying set of American blues covers. Featuring tracks originally by Sonny Boy Williamson, Chester Burnett, Memphis Slim, Willie Dixon, and others, it stands as the finest testament to Japan's deep-rooted love for the blues. The band went on to release several more records before evolving into Creation, but nothing quite captured the pure blues-rock intensity of their first outing.

HOOFFOOT - PHANTOM LIMB
After ten years, Hooffoot's triptych is now complete with their latest musical tapestry 'Phantom Limb.' The third album by Swedish progressive kraut/jazzrockers mixes spontaneity with carefully crafted, lyrical themes into an instrumental storytelling. The debut album struck like a bolt from the blue in 2015 and by some acclaimed as "debut of the century." The follow up 'The Lights In The Aisle Will Guide You' was equally appraised as "bloody bloody great." The first two records were a polite knock on the door, saying; excuse us but we think we have something unique here. Luckily, some people really grasped that, and the love from fans have built a strong confidence in the band. This time around, without pardons, Hooffoot kicks in the door. On this album you will recognize the eclectic blend of genres but also more melodies with echoes from Swedish folk music. The four long compositions offers plenty of risk-taking and fast corners. The live recorded production is again beautifully transparent but slightly heavier than the previous releases. The band is a tight quartet but the soundscape is further expanded by invited guests, contributing with percussion and violin. On two of the tracks you will hear bass clarinet and transverse flute courtesy of the soulful Swedish international jazz star Fredrik Kronkvist (considered one of Europe's finest alto saxophonists).

Fully licensed and remastered, limited to 500 copies. 'Friends' was the fifth album by the psych folk joint venture H&F Recordings. Also known by the title 'Fragile,' the album was released in 1974 as a private press with a more than precarious cover. Reminiscent of Simon & Garfunkel and Buffalo Springfield vocal harmonies the record was - in Howell & Ferdinando words - a pure joy of creation. Finally we have the chance to unleash this psych pop folk masterpiece with a proper artwork and in a remastered version. Peter Howell, known for his work in 'Doctor Who' themed series and as a part of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, and John Ferdinando were also behind the intriguing musical projects known as Ithaca and Agincourt. Canadian singer-songwriter Elyse Weinberg got her start in the Toronto folk underground that birthed Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. Making her way to Los Angeles to visit Young, she shacked up with Cass Elliott of the Mamas & the Papas, whose friend Roy Silver signed her to Tetragrammaton. Backed by local band Touch, debut album Elyse placed medieval folk and psychedelic rock behind her raspy vocals, the unusual arrangements adding strings in places and even sitar. Despite reaching a respectful 31 on the Billboard charts, the glory faded when the label went bust, leaving Weinberg unmoored. A beloved lost gem, finally available again!

Upon seeing an all-star frat band of Deke Dickerson of The Untamed Youth, Miss Georgia Peach set out to start her own girls in the garage party band in the twin cities Minnesota. Thus, Beebe Gallini was formed! For this project producer and drummer for the group Travis Ramin brought the group into the
legendary Kay Bank Studio in Minneapolis. A studio rich in musical history where everything from Dave Dudley's 'Six Days On The Road' and The Fendermen's 'Muleskinner Blues' to The Trashmen's legendary 'Surfin' Bird' and all of Soma Records' Big Hits Of Mid America were recorded. The early Guess Who recorded there and decided on their name in the building even - the list goes on and on! Travis' idea for a record was
to re-record some Minnesota garage classics that were originally recorded there in the same room and invite some of their garage rockin' friends to join them. 'Run Run Run' by The Gestures and 'Why' by The Accents would feature on lead guitar Keith Patterson (formerly of The Funseekers, The Spectors, and The Conquerors). 'I Believe' from The High Spirits would feature Melanie Vammen of The Pandoras' organ solo and Russell Quan famously of The Mummies, Flakes and Dukes Of Hamburg would take lead vocal on The Kan-Dels' raucous 'Cry Girl.' The session was so successful that it expanded into the full-length album 'Begged, Borrowed And Stealed' and batch of material expanding beyond the Minnesota borders, with tunes from Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, Otis Redding, Beebe themselves and more! Recording in the sacred space made for a special rock and roll party album which also features the artwork of legend
Cliff Mott! So, get ready for an all-star cast and a little dose of Minnesota garage rock and soul!

This CD contains the complete sixties recordings of the legendary group Les Pingouins with the musical debut of the famous sixties producer Gérard Hugé. The most important thing to know is that this CD contains the original hit 'Oh! Les Filles' covered in 1972 by Au Bonheur Des Dames, totally inspired by the original by the Pingouins, who created and recorded it in 1962. Of course there are other extremely interesting titles on this CD including adaptations (it was fashionable at the time) like 'Cherche'(Searchin'), or 'Pour Toi' (Heartaches) plus 3 previoulsy unreleased live versions from the time including 'Oh! Les Filles' and 'J'entends Siffler Le Train' with Danny Boy on vocals, all remastered in high definition (the maximum standard, 192kHz/24-Bit).

The band Oneira & Aftapates (Dreams & Illusions) was formed in January 1986 (and disbanded towards the end of 1988), a time when in Greece, among other underground musical genres, new wave music was flourishing. With a sound influenced mainly by bands such as Cure, Joy Division, Chameleons etc., the band added several post rock and psychedelic elements, mainly by using a flanger on one guitar, giving the band a more personal and special sound. In the lyrics one could discern a subtle pessimism as well as several influences from the poetry of Jim Morrison. The 4 kids who made up the band were Ilias Hortarias (guitar/voice/music/lyrics), Giorgos Kouros (bass), Nikos Tsoumanis (drums) and Ilias Kouros (guitar). They gave many concerts together with Anti, Slow Motion, No Man's Land and Panx Romana among others in various places, but unfortunately apart from a demo nothing else was saved. In recent years, Ilias Hortarias has reunited with Nikos Tsoumanis and together with Tina Koulouri on synth and piano and Zozi Tsounakou on vocals they recorded 4 of the songs of that period as well as some new ones for the release of this album! The songs of the album, with the addition of synth and female vocals, create a more imposing atmosphere in the final result. A long-time prospect materialized, thanks to the strong personal friendship among the original members of the band, with the result being transformed to a vinyl and CD release via Nowhere Street Music!

Founding work of minimalism, 'Music With Changing Parts' is a piece with free instrumentation. The musicians choose which part to play among the 8 staves of the score. At each indicated cue, the musicians can change part, which produces an abrupt change of instrumentation. While the music is based on a melodic material limited to a few notes that are repeated in patterns that expand or contract, the changes in orchestration refresh the listening experience by producing sonic contrasts. These techniques at work in 'Music With Changing Parts,' written in 1970, will lead Philip Glass to renew his language and move from the monochromatic works that precede it to more dramatic works such as music in 12 parts and especially the opera 'Einstein On The Beach.' When Philip Glass began rehearsing the piece, he was surprised to hear long notes when everything was written in eighth notes. After making sure that none of the musicians were playing held notes, he realized
that the fact that the same notes were played by all the instruments in the ensemble produced, through a psycho-acoustic effect, a harmonic substrate of resonant frequencies. He then decided to add to the score the possibility of playing long notes to reinforce this effect. "For this recording, we chose to record first the eighth notes, then the long notes in re-recording. This utopian version, with each musician playing short and long notes at the same time (!), illustrates the minimalist aesthetic that plays with our perception and allows
us to reconcile opposites and cultivate the apparent paradox of a music that moves forward without Moving and changes constantly while remaining the same." (Didier Aschour/Dedalus Ensemble, July 2024).

Previously unreleased material composed by Bernard Parmegiani in 1992. 'Lac Noir - La Serpente' is part of Emmanuel
Raquin-Lorenzi's 'Lac Noir,' a composite work inspired by a serpentine female creature or 'snake-woman' that he saw in Transylvania in 1976, with a total of 33 pieces using various media, 24 by himself and 9 by other artists. All the materials used in 'Lac Noir' were gathered on the land of the snake-woman
between 1990 and 1992. The first coordinated broadcast ran from June to October 2019, like a theatrical display of media. At the end of May 1992, in Provence, in his Summer studio not far from the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, Bernard Parmegiani played me the first musical moments he had worked on from the sounds he and Christian Zanési had collected in Negreni in October 1990. A few days after this listening session, on 4th June, I wrote him a letter. I didn't mean to take control of what was to become the ninth movement of his composition, but to share with
him some of the resonances I had heard in what he had composed, which mingled with my dreams and memories of the Transylvanian snake-woman, and outlined possible concordances with the other
pieces underway for 'Lac Noir.' In the midst of the garish chaos of the fair and its spectacular stunts, there could spread out - still, silent eye of the cyclone - the long waters of a lake. Calm waters. Patches cool but sensitive as skin. Between the waters there flows and ripples, there shows up and dives again a snake-woman born of the still waters. A sweet, good serpent whose song - strange and melodious, sensual, yet already tinged, as if bitten by the black depths, with bitterness; that of prescience, shading it with melancholy - is her very undulation, the rings of which appear, together or in turn, the way translucent veins overlap, slither over one another in a moving braid of metamorphoses.
