After the success of their first Sulatron Records LP and CD 'Make It Better' from 2021 this album is ready to blow your mind! A/lpaca are a psych-punk band formed in 2018 in Mantova, Italy. In these four years spent electrifying venues and festivals across Europe, the UK, and the US (notably including their participation at SXSW in Austin, Texas), A/lpaca have continued writing music, evolving their sound - moving away from "psych" to incorporate more electronic elements - while staying true to their kraut origins and their "sonic" spirit, two of the traits that define them. The themes have also evolved: "The concept of the album," they say, "is probably a continuation of 'Make It Better.' The difference is that the temporary remedy for life, the thing that saves for a while, is no longer music, the club, the concert, and an artistic world to discover and live in, but only the presence of friends, the blurring effect of drinks, and the 'laughter' that pushes away responsibility and the everyday grind." Compared to their debut, A/lpaca have grown both artistically and personally. They've had new experiences and met people who have influenced their way of thinking and writing music. "We've listened to a lot of experimental and electronic music, and met many people from this 'underground' world. Of course, we also continued listening to a lot of punk and other genres closer to our style. We also organized concerts for two years at Arci Tom, and that experience was undoubtedly important for our approach to the new tracks. The fact that it took us so long to make this second album is due to the fact that the process, with its ups and downs, with songs we were initially excited about and others we no longer care for, was quite natural. We wanted to offer something more diverse while still staying true to our compositional style, which relies heavily on melody, riffs, and repetition." Exact repro of the Vertigo version. When the band Agitation Free came together in 1967 as a result of the merging of two Berlin rock groups, one of the most interesting groups in a dawning independent German music scene was created. With their improvisational mixture of rock, jazz and new music, Agitation Free -soon relegated to the not so flattering category of "Krautrock"- made musical forays into areas that few of their fellow German musicians had ever penetrated. At a time when most in Germany were still orienting themselves as closely as possible to Anglo-American musical formats, Agitation Free found a completely new and very original form of musical expression. Starting with their debut album 'Malesch', Agitation Free delivered a fascinating sound, influenced not least by the impressions from a Near East tour. The band moved toward a form of meta-music, a weaving of exotic-sounding compositions. The album has been justly regarded as a milestone in the genre, especially abroad. Looking back, it's evident that Agitation Free was one of the most important bands of the experimental circle known as the "Berlin School", and a career springboard for a whole slew of musicians. At the same time, this policy of changing personnel also meant risking that the band couldn't keep itself together over the long run. Agitation Free consciously took this risk in order to remain as close as possible to their own concept, free from commercial pressure or concessions to the latest trends and modes.

KRAUTFUZZ - LIVE AT THE CHURCH (FEAT. J MASCIS)
Sulatron Records is proud to announce the release of a very promising new band in the scene, which is like a melting pot of the current and old psychedelic-kraut-noise scene in Germany! And this Krautfuzz album is nothing less than a super intense psychedelic noise fest with guitarlegend J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr.! The improvisational band Krautfuzz, with Imari Kokubo on drums, Dirk Dresselhaus on guitar and occasional vocals, and Derek Shirley on bass, is embossed by an angular-futuristic tension, spanning from fuzzed-out neo-psych-rock, abstract, heavily processed minimalism to pure noise, and is open at the fringes, which also means that they usually invite surprise guests from diverse musical backgrounds for their live shows to play energetic, dynamic, and time-transcending music without a safety net while giving some extra attention to communication in-between each other as well as to the individual subconsciousness. Illustrious guest performers so far were Murat Ertel (Baba Zula), experimental sax player André Vida, Eleni Poulou (ex-The Fall) and Hilary Jeffery (Zeitkratzer), Xambuca's Chandra Shukla on processed e-sitar, and J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), who contributed a bunch of his outstanding electric guitar performances in the second part of this live recording, which organically blend into the transcendental sound approach of Krautfuzz. As the three core members come from a variety of musical activities with the likes of Schneider TM, Faust, Die ANGEL, Locust Fudge, The Still, Monno, Vladislav Delay Quartet, Piratezombiedog or Hi-Speed Dubbing, the premise is to reduce stylistic concepts to their essence, implement moments of CHANCE and allow inspiration from unexpected styles such as contemporary classical or stochastic music. What started with occasional studio sessions in late 2022 has so far led to 5 regular Krautfuzz releases and some live shows that left enthusiastic audiences behind. Performed and recorded live on June 15th 2024 at Ev. Kirchengemeinde Genezareth, Berlin. Live mix and recording: Jaike Stambach.

Here's an expanded edition of one of Nurse With Wound's most intense, unique opuses, so unique that for long-time fans it was a strange, chaotic lounge bizzarie when it first came out.
For the first time, all four audio sides are complete (originally, there were only three sides). And to crown it all, a magnificent new cover by the great and talented Babs Santini, who is none other than Steven Stapleton behind his pseudonym of plastic artist, still in the luxurious tradition of the "silver collection" at Rotorelief Records. Nurse with Wound's album 'Huffin' Rag Blues' is unique in NWW's discography. Stapleton teams up with composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Liles, his co-creator of musical terrorism, to tackle the exotica and lounge genres, crushed into a cacophonous mess. Long-time NWW friends Colin Potter and Matt Waldron are also on board. Blues, jazz, crime films, bachelor pads and soap opera music are processed and discarded, then chopped up and recycled in a mix that contains a ton of space, but also overflows with dynamic tension, hilarious asides, sexually suggestive poetry and a certain rock & roll abandon. This is a very surprising opus for long-time fans, is like a soundtrack that could illustrate a David Lynch film. It's brilliant, maddening, hilarious and sinister enough to earn a place in any collection with a little quirkiness and eccentricity. 'Huffin' Rag Blues' incorporates more familiar musical elements - including instruments (played live, even), rhythm and vocals - than almost any other Nurse With Wound album to date. The album's main concern is, as always, to create environments for lucid dreaming rather than to create music as such. Limited to 700 copies in metallic silver gatefold sleeve.

Lloyd Parks, born on May 26, 1948, in Kingston, Jamaica, is a renowned reggae icon known for his soulful melodies and skillfully played bass lines. Taking inspiration from hawala, a system of informal money transfers made to certain countries impacted by a lack of currency or unstable contexts. Megarbane spins this concept on its head, reimagining it as an artistic exchange spanning cultures, generations, and geographies. This spirit of creative movement is embodied in the album's amalgamative nature, featuring contributions from an international lineup of artists, including London-based jazz vocalist Sahra Gure, Italian-Tunisian singer LNDFK, Neapolitan pianist Dario Bassolino, Berlin beatmaker and violinist FloFilz, and an 18-piece orchestral arrangement by Swedish composer Sven Wunder. Recorded across multiple locations, from Beirut to Brooklyn, Stockholm to a rural French commune, the album's sonic journey mirrors its thematic premise. Musically, the track list of 'Hawalat' travels through a varied journey of textures and temperaments. The album's opener, 'Hanadi,' is a percussive, Somali-inspired groove with wordless vocals and soaring saxophone lines. Tracks like 'Al Dollarji' and 'Al Bahriye' encapsulate Megarbane's signature Mediterranean sound, while 'Helia,' performed with the Stockholm Studio Orchestra, showcases his cinematic sensibilities. 'Jana,' an homage to the late Malian kora master Toumani Diabaté, sees Megarbane transform his guitar into a kora-like instrument, staying true to his commitment to experimentation. Following 'Marzipan' (2023), which took a look inwards at the heart of Lebanon, 'Hawalat' expands further outwards, exploring themes of diaspora, exile, and artistic migration. "As much as 'Marzipan' was a portrait of Lebanon from the inside, 'Hawalat' picks up where it left off," Megarbane explains. The album avoids nostalgic recreations of the past, instead situating itself comfortably in the present with a sound that is both timeless and contemporary. Known for his prolific output - having released over 100 projects under various monikers - Megarbane continues to defy categorisation, crafting what he calls "Lebrary music": a borderless, Mediterranean-rooted fusion of library music, Afrobeat, hip-hop, and jazz. His ethos of spontaneity extends to his live performances, where he and his band reinterpret songs anew with each show. In 2024, he toured extensively, often sharing the stage with fellow Habibi Funk collaborator Rogér Fakhr, with more performances planned for 2025. Through 'Hawalat,' Megarbane reaffirms his place as a global musical storyteller, allowing influences and traditions to cross borders and meet fluidity and spontaneity.

Before 'Guaracha UFO' propelled Meridian Brothers onto the international stage, Eblis Alvarez was already shaping his singular sonic universe in the shadows. Released only on CD in between 2009 and 2012 via local label La Distritofónica, Meridian Brothers 'VI' and 'VII' never had wide distribution or media exposure. Yet, these albums represent a crucial phase in the band's evolution, capturing the energy of Bogota's
experimental cumbia scene at the time. On 'VI,' Alvarez crafts a hallucinatory patchwork of cumbia and vallenato, using his
guitar as the guiding thread before layering other instruments on top. 'VII' pushes experimentation even further with a custom-built sampling algorithm, generating unpredictable loops and grooves. These two albums laid the foundation for the radical fusion and irreverent spirit that would later define Meridian Brothers. Now reissued on vinyl for the first time, these historic recordings offer a raw and fascinating glimpse into the origins of one of Latin America's most forward-thinking musical projects.
