North/South Carolina heavy rock outfit Shun releases their long-awaited 2024 full-length, 'Dismantle.' Shun released their self-titled debut through Small Stone in 2021. Outlaws Of The Sun called the record, "a big adventure (that) takes the listener on an exciting journey within the vastness of progressive rock and stoner metal," while Sentinel Daily likened the record to Foo Fighters, "had they avoided a life of Hollywood openings and celebrity girlfriends, concentrating instead on year after year on the road with COC, Clutch, and Cave In... that's a mighty fine something to sound like."
'Dismantle' continues several crucial threads from the debut in terms of songwriting and the returning production of J. Robbins (who also contributes percussion, guitar, and synth), while expanding their scope with a more refined crunch and drifting, ethereal outreach. It is heavier and paints a broader landscape in Matt Whitehead's vocal and guitar melodies, able to take a prog-metal chug in 'Horses' and reshape it as the backdrop for weighted post-rock while refusing to sap its own vitality in service to shoegazey posturing. For fans of Torche, Cave In, Alice In Chains, Failure, ASG, and huge riffs, pay heed.

LINK QUARTET - GREEN PUMA/TROPICAL DANDY
The Link Quartet formed way back in 1993, and over the years have built a worldwide reputation and have become a most distinguished band related to the Hammond organ sound. Italy based, The Link Quartet have produced a unique mix of funk, beat, rock and soul, strongly tied to the glorious bands of the past, but fully looking forward towards the future for a modern unmistakable touch. The band have consistently worked hard in the studio, and have released ten studio albums, several singles and EP's, and appeared on some heavy weight compilations throughout the last two decades, working with labels such as Acid Jazz, Record Kicks, Hammond Beat, Sony, Soundflat and many more. On the live side, the band have performed almost all over the world, sharing the stage with artists such as Brian Auger, The Music Machine, Manu Chao, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Charles Bradley, Big Boss Man and more, and have also performed at various festivals globally.
In November 2018 the band decided on the idea to release a live album recorded in the studio, during a three-day event. The event took place at Tanzan Music Studio, which resulted in the 'Secret Sessions' live studio album, containing all the best tracks of the Italian combo, performed live and recorded as never before. The album was released in 2019 on Spinout Nuggets. The band followed up with the 'The Saint-Tropez Heist' 7" single in 2021. The Link Quartet are now back in action with a new twin-spin single. With respect to two characters in Piacenza, firstly 'Green Puma' gives respect to an old hi-fi technician, who works from his apartment, welcoming you with white overalls that makes him look like a technician from '60s Cape Canaveral. 'Tropical Dandy' refers to a cultural organizer, who is always dressed to impress! Limited to 500 copies.

Galg's debut, 'Monochroom,' was self-released as a free download in 2014. Consisting of one 26-minute long track, 'Monochroom' doubles as the group's sonic manifest. An extremely challenging but rewarding listen, it can be filed under black metal whilst also touching on industrial, doom, harsh noise and drone. Since their creative outburst of 2014 - which also saw the release of 'Afzicht' and 'RPM Sessions' - the members of Galg have focussed on other projects such as Fluisteraars, Turia, Iskandr, Leechfeast, DOOL and Solar Temple. Due to their collective effort, Gelderse black metal has grown into an internationally known and acclaimed sub-genre. It was only a matter of time for them to revive Galg. Ten years after the initial release of 'Monochroom' Galg and Waaghals Records proudly present its anniversary reissue, complete with new artwork and remastered audio courtesy of Pieter Kloos (The Void Studio). As the track is carefully broken down into two side-long excursions, they have decided to also include a CD copy of the album, for uninterrupted listening. Limited run of 300 copies worldwide.

Formed in Lewisham, southeast London, punk band The Business joined the Oi! scene after supporting The 4 Skins in 1981. Comet Gain are a British indiepop band, who have been making beautiful noise since 1992. Formed by singer-songwriter and guitarist David Christian (aka David Feck/Charlie Damage) and Phil Sutton, with musical influences including post-punk and northern soul, Pitchfork called them "one of the most underrated contemporary indie bands in the UK". Initially recording and releasing homemade demos on cassette, the band followed with record releases via Wiiija Records, Fortuna Pop!, Tapete Records, amongst others, experiencing a revolving door of members throughout, with David Christian holding the back-bone. Early gig supports included Stereolab, Television Personalities, Bikini Kill and Heavenly, with more than one Peel Session under their belt too, Comet Gain's music varies in style, from indiepop influenced by soul and sixties girl-group sounds, through to early-'80s alternative pop, to punk. The two recordings on this 7" record were recorded in the spring/summer of 1996. Shortly after, Comet Gain disbanded as it was, with the majority forming the band Velocette, leaving David Christian to continue Comet Gain with new members. On Side A, recorded back then, 'Only Happy When I'm Sad' was recently released on the 'Misfit Jukebox' compilation album (Tapete Records, TR540). On Side B, first time to vinyl, this version of 'Dreams Of A Working Girl' was originally found on the 'NME C96' compilation CD.

Lovejoy have gained a reputation for providing sophisticated indie music. In the late nineties and early noughties, Lovejoy released a string of well received and now sought-after singles and albums, mostly on Santa Barbara's Matinee Recordings, also playing shows in Scandinavia and Europe, as well as in the UK. They took an extended sabbatical from 2007, following the devastating loss of long-time friend, confidante and collaborator Keith Girdler (Blueboy), only returning to the studio in 2022. The years have been kind to Dick Preece's song writing sensibilities. Lovejoy make a stunning return with the album '...And It's Love!.' Through eleven shimmering, lushly produced tracks, beautifully bound together by the central themes of love, loss and human connections, the album invites the listener to immerse themselves in Lovejoy's world. A kind of concept album, the songs on '...And It's Love!' weave and meld together into a narrative soundscape of tender moments of love and loss that sound both reassuringly familiar and yet totally modern. The album includes collaborations from former label mate Keris Howard (Brighter, Trembling Blue Stars, Harper Lee), and long-time Lovejoy co-vocalist Ally Board, along with one or two other special guests. Added support, encouragement and endorsement came from former Creation Records' boss Alan McGee (Biff Bang Pow!) and pop genius Edward Ball (TVPs, The Times etc), who also both provide sleeve notes (as well as the two songs that Lovejoy covered on the album). LOVEJOY - ...AND IT'S LOVE!
Lovejoy have gained a reputation for providing sophisticated indie music. In the late nineties and early noughties, Lovejoy released a string of well received and now sought-after singles and albums, mostly on Santa Barbara's Matinee Recordings, also playing shows in Scandinavia and Europe, as well as in the UK. They took an extended sabbatical from 2007, following the devastating loss of long-time friend, confidante and collaborator Keith Girdler (Blueboy), only returning to the studio in 2022. The years have been kind to Dick Preece's song writing sensibilities. Lovejoy make a stunning return with the album '...And It's Love!.' Through eleven shimmering, lushly produced tracks, beautifully bound together by the central themes of love, loss and human connections, the album invites the listener to immerse themselves in Lovejoy's world. A kind of concept album, the songs on '...And It's Love!' weave and meld together into a narrative soundscape of tender moments of love and loss that sound both reassuringly familiar and yet totally modern. The album includes collaborations from former label mate Keris Howard (Brighter, Trembling Blue Stars, Harper Lee), and long-time Lovejoy co-vocalist Ally Board, along with one or two other special guests. Added support, encouragement and endorsement came from former Creation Records' boss Alan McGee (Biff Bang Pow!) and pop genius Edward Ball (TVPs, The Times etc), who also both provide sleeve notes (as well as the two songs that Lovejoy covered on the album). Co-release with Shelflife Records.

Floating Di Morel are a rock'n'roll band based in Berlin Germany. Formed in 1995 by ex-PLO and Young Scamps members Kai Drewitz and Sabine Blödorn. German critic Jens Willemer positively noted that it is impossible to categorize the sound of the band. As analogies he cites Suicide, Throbbing Gristle, free jazz and White Light Hysteria. At the end he asks: "Is it rock'n'roll? Is it noise? Is it art?"

The other side is a more electronic experience with ULF.
