Beginning his musical career as a singer around Virginia's round-ups, Billy signed with Columbia Records, where he remained for three years, recording country and hillbilly. Billy would do four more sessions for Columbia in 1957 and 1958. This 10" recovers Billy Brown's songs, all belonging to his period between 1957 and 1961 for Columbia and Republic.
