Weight Of The World

The Hermitts are a band from the UK. Purveying glumcore fuzznuggets that are mostly in tune, they were formed in the long, tepid summer lockdown of 2021. They attempt to follow the long and fine British musical tradition of melodic parochial miserableness. Their songs have been compared to the likes of Guided By Voices, The Jesus And Mary Chain and various obscure shoegazing acts we're not quite sure ever existed. The Hermitts are the personal project of Matt Hicks, and if you remember his name, you are right as he was member of Horowitz, a band that gave us some great songs like 'The Drunks Are Writing Punk Songs' and albums like 'Popkids Of The World Unite!.'
