Zimnice

'Zemnice' (meaning 'Chills') is the debut-solo album from the Czech vocalist, composer and multi-instrumentalist who is also known as a member of the excellent folk group BraAgas. The 11 tracks use the lyrics of Slavic folk songs set to original folk music in contrast to today's technologies. In addition to Czech music, the album also includes Romani, Balkan and Hispanic music. Additionally, the album also features minimalist elements of creaking, squeaking and other natural sounds of acoustic instruments such as guitar or nyckelharpa that were mixed into loops with the addition of electronics.
