With 'Untucked In Hannover', drummer Tom Rainey's top-notch quintet Obbligato presents a third album of jazz standards. The CD offers wonderful jazz tunes s.a. 'Stella By Starlight' or 'I Fall In Love Too Easily', interpreted in an open dialogue with stunning joy of playing and improvisation. And though standards are the modus operandi of Obbligato, the approach is less conventional, less reverential and far from solo-centric.
