'The Epigenesis' is the fifth full-length album by the death/black metal band Melechesh, originally released in 2010. This is an inimical, iconoclastic work that defies genre conventions, predictability and cliché. This is black metal blasting and tremolo riffing, some thrashy parts, Maiden-style twin-axe galloping and midpaced dirges with atmospheric moments more easily heard in epic doom/heavy metal bands. On 140 gram bronze coloured vinyl.
