'AMERICAN SOUL MUSIC 1955 TO 1972' - A great compilation of rare soul music from the Cairo imprint of Mississippi Records, done with a similar approach to Mississippi's other reissues of folk, blues, and world music. It contains lots of deep soul gems from well know artists and some obscure artists. For this edition, they switched out a couple tunes, improved the sound quality, and added 6 pages of additional liner notes. All deep soul classics!
