Hummingbirds

Some people make a mark, they make an impression, they leave a lasting legacy from which others gain joy and inspiration. Simon Holmes was one of those people. In person and in music, the founding guitarist of revered Australian band The Hummingbirds did all those things and more, creating a body of work which sings down the years with shining guitar pop brilliance, forging a path from the then hitherto completely underground music scene of Sydney in the late '80s/'90s to a national and indeed international presence.
