Marijata was a Ghanaian group made up of Kofi 'Electric' Addison on drums, Bob Fischlan on organ, and Nat Osmanu on guitar. 'This Is Marijata' (1976) is the group's first LP, originally out on the Gapophone label. It is pure, rootsy, raw, driving African funk music of the highest order. The LP is now highly sought-after in both its original and previously reissued forms.
