Virtuous three-piece Torto is comprised of guitarist Jorge Coelho, drummer Jorge Queijo and bassist Miguel Ramos. These guys have a special interest in numerology: they are THREE and they recorded the self-titled FIVE song debut full-length on the FOURth of May. Figures! The CD runs for 33-minutes, challenging the canons of modern music through the deconstruction of instrument roles, allowing each one to explore the other ones' limitations through jazz infused instrumental rock. On 'Torto' new paths are explored and different musical languages are spoken, showing (in a true manner) how Torto work live. The recording process was actually a simultaneous effort, with all three members playing at the same time as to keep the live vibe engraved in every frequency.
