Mikel Laboa is without doubt the most emblematic reference for Basque song. His first LP 'Bat - Hiru,' a double, was released in 1974 and is considered the "best Basque record in history." Some of his songs, such as 'Txoria Txori' are now classics, of which covers have been made and have been passed down through the generations, giving Basque identity significant symbolic importance.
