This record was first released on CD format by 101 Berlin. Now Dutch label Geertruida thought it should also be out there on pink vinyl, so here it is. Lover in the Dark, by Icelandic artist Berndsen, is the first release on Geertruida. And what a record to start with! Needless to say this is a personal favorite at the label, and they have had many midnight dancing parties to the music on this great album. The songs on this record are sometimes dark and sometimes heavenly creamed with throbbing beats, but also at certain points they take you to a joyful melancholic higher place where guitars go hand in hand with synthesizers and pop vocals. Now, we can slap this record around the place with some genres, like eighties-electro-synthesizer-pop, but we think that at this point you just have to stop listening to us and just order this thing so that you can hear for yourself.
