The bandmembers themselves have made reference to their music as power groove, a kind of musical decoction of power pop and 70s-sounding boogie rock. Although they dont make a secret of their fascination with the 1970s rock scene its quite clear that there not merly a nostalgic retro phenomenon. Their work states that they have managed to use their sources of inspiration in creative ways to push the boundries and generate something new, genre breaking and daring. Alex Carole & the Crush includes members of BRUKET, CDOASS and the now defunct Vad/Fagersta quintet THE SAVAGES.
