The life of MAGNOLIA began in Amal in 1994 when Ronny Eriksson started to write his own music. Inspired by the music from the late sixties and early seventien he recorded his first songs on a Fostex channel porta studio. The musical project was called MAGNOLIA. The name came from the old BLUE CHEER song "Magnolia caboze babyfinger". Ronny played bass, guitar, keyboards and sang and the drums were played by Anders Hedstrom. MAGNOLIAS second album 'Falska Vagar' can be described as heavy progressive bluesy rock with lot of improvisations in the vein of CREAM, JACK BRUCE, MOUNTAIN, NOVEMBER, FREE, MECKI MARK MEN and their likes. And of course the lyrics are still sung in swedish for the right feel!
