Previously known as Las Antorchas (The Torches), these guys changed their name to Antorcha when in 1969 they had moved to harder sounds. From the late '60s on they played seriously psychedelic acid rock with slight Latin hints, vocals in Spanish as well as English, intelligent use of fuzz guitar and a strong rhythm section. Featuring highlights from their singles and sole album (1977) this is a killer compilation from start to finish with original tracks only. One could easily rate this as some of the best psych rock ever made in Mexico!
