One of the most sought after progressive bands from Montreal, Contraction was formed in the dying days of their friend Franck Dervieux, and released two albums of beautiful music highlighted by Christiane Robichaud's angelic vocals. The first album is more melodic and accessible, with shorter song-oriented tracks and brief instrumentals forming continuous song cycles.
