ABBOTT, ANDREW DR - DEAD IN CHELLOW DEAN (LP/CARDINAL FUZZ)

Cardinal Fuzz and Feeding Tube Records present the debut album by artist, musician and writer Andrew DR Abbott. 'Dead In Chellow Dean' extends the themes and aesthetic introduced in his 'Live On Daisy Hill' cassette released in 2018 by Bloxham Tapes and described by The Quietus as 'a minor 21st century folk masterpiece'. Through a series of instrumental 8-string baritone acoustic guitar compositions, Abbott conveys a dark and disorientating journey through the beautifully derelict hinterlands of Bradford: the postindustrial city in the North of England where he lives. The core tracks of the album are joined together by collages of field recordings and improvisations on handmade instruments. Best known for his deafening guitar work in the bands That Fucking Tank and NOPE, 'Dead In Chellow Dean' is Abbott's most personal and introspective work to date. The rough, heavy and at times dissonant and fragile qualities of Abbott's fingerstyle guitar and woozy interludes create a psychedelic soundtrack to the shadowy sides of present-day Bradford. 'Dead In Chellow Dean' is a folk horror interpretation of life in the liminal space between the urban and rural, deprivation and affluence, the everyday and the magically surreal. Using the fingerpicking techniques of Fahey, Basho and Kottke as a base to create his own twisting, non-linear compositions, Abbott weaves in influences from UK guitar contemporaries like Richard Dawson, Steven Malley (The Horse Loom), Dean McPhee and Gwenifer Raymond. More post-hardcore than trad-folk, Joe Osborne's roomy recording truly captures the dynamics of Abbott's playing from sparse heavy minimalism through to moments of derailed intensity. Limited to 300 copies including a 10-page 21 cm square booklet featuring artwork by Ruth Fettis and a short story by Andrew DR Abbott and download code with bonus track.

VARIOUS - LOUISVILLE IN THE 60'S (LP/OUT-SIDER)

'THE LOST ALLEN-MARTIN TAPES' - Fourteen tracks from the Louisville late '60s/early '70s garage-psych scene. These cuts are all previously unissued except for one originally released on a rare 7". They were found in the archives of the city's well known Allen-Martin Studio, after the owners retired and the place closed down. TRACKS: 01. The Oxfords - Earth And Sea 02. The Rugbys - I Want You Baby 03. Blues - Rats In My Room 04. The Illusions - Just To Be You 05. Conception - Babylon 06. Company Front - Blackbird 07. The Keyes - Dear Mr. Fantasy 08. Brothers Pride - Let The Music Play 09. JB And The Young Wheels - Silly Girl 10. The Premiers - Nothing Lasts Forever 11. Free Reign - Drink Your Wine 12. The Waters - Drive Me Mad 13. ROC - Open Up 14. Copperfield - Recollection

JEREMY & THE SATYRS - JEREMY & THE SATYRS (LP/LONGHAIR)

Originally released in 1968, and now for the first time on vinyl, this classic psychedelic/blues rock/jazzrock album is a real gem. This is a gorgeous mix of wonderful trippy psychedelic rock on opener 'World Of Glass Teardrops' and jazz and blues rock featuring extensive use of flute by frontman and bandleader Jeremy Steig, along with Warren Bernhardt (keyboards), drummer Donald MacDonald (who played on the legendary Sabicas - 'Rock Encounter With Joe Beck' album), extraordinary guitarist Adrian Guillery and famous Eddie Gomez on bass. In 1966 The Satyrs were formed as backing band for folksinger Tim Hardin. Jeremy & The Satyrs were one of the first jazz fusion ensembles that recorded on Reprise Records in 1968, USA. Remastered from the archive tapes, the sound is brillant. Comes with Jeremy Steig bio. Don't miss this legendary album. Limited edition.

KAPNISIS, KOSTAS - MUSIC OF GREEK FOLK ECHOES (LP/B-OTHERSIDE)

This genious Greek composer successfully mixed elements from Greek folk music with rock. All 20 tracks on this compilation were recorded between 1970-1972. Includes a 4 page color insert with a translated biography of the composer, unreleased photos from all the participating artists and a hand written note from Kleio Denardou with her memories from her collaboration with the composer. The cover is a unique painting of Aristomenis Theodoropoulos, painted exclusively for this release. Limited to 350 copies.

SEALSIA - SEALSIA (LP/CAMELEON)

Eight previously unreleased tracks from 1976 by this French band from Arles. Folk pop influenced by Kevin Ayers, Neil Young etc. Limited to 300 copies.

SYNCHRO RHYTHMIC ECLECTIC LANGUAGE - LAMBI (2LP) (LP/SOMMOR)

Impressive jazz-rock-fusion with progressive, funk, Afro-Caribbean and Zeuhl elements courtesy of multi-cultural French band Synchro, featuring drummer Steve McCall (Air, Cecil Taylor), Jo Maka (Intercommunal Free Dance Music Orchestra) on saxophone, Jean-Yves Rigaud (ZAO) on violin, Gerard Curbillon (Speed Limit) on guitar, Georges-Edouard Nouel (Noel McGhie & Space Spies) on piano and Louis Xavier (Ladja) on bass. Originally released on the Moshe-Naim label in 1976, this is the first ever vinyl reissue, expanded to a double album including some essential bonus tracks taken from the recording sessions.

CULT OF FREE LOVE/MAGIC SEAS - SPLIT EP (12"/MAGIC LOVE)

The Cult Of Free Love are from the mystical landscape of North Wales. This 12" is the first release since 2016's critically acclaimed debut album 'Love Revolution' and represents the second coming of The Cult. Relatively little is known about the cult or it's members, but it has long been suspected to be the work of the infamous Northern Star collective. Hailing from Chelmsford, Magic Seas are brothers James and John Prudence. This 12" represents their debut appearance on vinyl. Following on from their previous two singles, the band once again showcase their shimmering dream-pop on two recordings which were co-produced and mixed by Ride frontman Mark Gardener at his OX4 Studios in Oxford.

ABRONIA - THE WHOLE EACH OF EYE (LP/CARDINAL FUZZ)

'The Whole of Each Eye' sees Abronia cementing its very singular place in the canon of the broader psych rock universe. A six piece consisting of two guitars, electric bass, tenor saxophone, pedal steel, and one 32" inch bass drum (no drum set here), Abronia pulls from kraut rock, spaghetti Western soundtracks, doom, '60s UK folk, spiritual jazz, ritualistic drone, and infuse it all with the arid haze of deserts near and far. The sound, with its ample use of lap steel and reverb-heavy electric guitar, is firmly rooted in a sun-baked strain of Americana. But never too far from the surface are elements of European art rock in all of its guises (krautrock, psychedelia, prog) and a welcome wild card in the form of Keelin Mayer, who adds a Stooges-like squall with her saxophone and composed vocal turns à la Nico or former Swans singer Jarboe.

ANUNNAKI - IMMANENTIZE THE ESCHATON (LP/CARDINAL FUZZ)

Occult Psychedelia For The Initiated. Doom For The New Age. Hailing from Nanaimo, British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada, Dave Read (Moths & Locusts) on bass/guitar/synth/effects and Arlen Thompson (Wolf Parade) on drums/modular synth have for the last several years teamed up as ANUNNAKI, and over the course of several sold out EPs and one previous full length album (2017's "Two Treatise On Gnostic Thought") they have harnessed a maelstrom of hurricane force tones into their unique sound. The new album "Immanentize The Eschaton" (ie, to bring forth the Apocalypse) reflects all the chaos and turbulence going on in the world today, be it politically, environmentally, or socially, as well as reminding us of the beauty, love and compassion that so often appears fleeting in these modern times. Imagine a cross between Motorhead's Lemmy & Philthy Animal and Kraftwerk's Ralf & Florian, together channeling the kozmik vision of Alice Coltrane through Sunn O)))'s amplifiers, and with influences varying from Klaus Schulze to Acid Mothers Temple, from New Age to Black Metal, Madame Blavatsky to Thich Nhat Hanh, and you'll start to get the idea of what Anunnaki is all about. To put it mildly Anunnaki creates a massive sound for only 2 musicians. Live, the band has shared the stage with artists including Merzbow, Peter Brotzmann, Plastic Crimewave Syndicate, Darsombra, The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol, Comet Control , and Finland's Siinai, among others. The album itself comprises just 3 epic tracks, ranging in length from 7:01 (album opener 'Rise Of The Millenarian'), to 21:25 ('The Demiurge Begins Anew', which comprises all of Side B). In what is becoming true Anunnaki fashion, all tracks were recorded live off the floor, with no overdubs and minimal edits. The striking cover art is a black & white photographic portrait of the band with bass/guitar doubleneck and modular synth at the ready, beautifully shot in Nanaimo's iconic White Room venue by local photographer Jason Felker. Produced by the band, and assisted by Andrew Halliwell, with mastering once again handled by Dietrich Schoenemann.

CHICKN - BEL ESPRIT (LP/INNER EAR)

'Bel Esprit' is a nine track album which contains an equal amount of gender-bender acid pop nuggets that will generously provide the touchy and feeliness for listeners. It will be hidden inside intimate voices telling distant stories, cosmic whistles or even in the form of cadenced grooves from outer space.

GIOBIA - PLASMATIC IDOL (BLACK) (LP/HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS)

'Plasmatic Idol' is simply impressive: a collection of different sounds and atmospheres brings the listener to another sidereal world full of dreams and mind travels. You can clearly feel the influence of certain Pink Floyd in some passages but also pinches of Italian progressive rock, horror soundtracks from '70s movies, '60s garage influences, US West Coast psychedelia, and late '60s space rock a la Hawkwind. The production is delicate and smooth, the album flows without interruptions and the music immerses your mind in a cosmic dimension. The vintage organs and synthesizers are used in the best way possible. 8 tracks that capture your attention without distraction. Produced by Bazu, the guitar player and singer of the band and mixed and mastered by Brett Orrison (Black Angels, Jack White) at Spaceflight Records in Austin, Texas. Cover artwork by Metastazis.

GREEN PAJAMAS - POISON IN THE RUSSIAN ROOM (LP/SUGARBUSH)

This amazing long lost previously CD-only cult album by Seattle's amazing Green Pajamas is out finally on vinyl. Limited to 300 copies on green vinyl.

LOS TABANOS EXPERIENCE - (BLACK) SONGS OF CREATION, VOL. 1 (LP/CLOSTRIDIUM)

LTX is a collective of musicians from Santiago de Chile that specializes in improvisation, the production of krautrock, spacerock, hardrock, indierock, prog and jazz rock. Limited to 200 copies on 180 gram black vinyl.

MAGNOLIA (SWEDEN) - TA TJUREN VID HORNEN (LP/TRANSUBSTANS)

Three years passed since Swedish Transubstans Records veterans Magnolia released their outstanding album 'På Djupt Vatten'. In 2019, they return stronger than ever with 'Ta Tjuren Vid Hornen'. One of Magnolia's strongest traits as part of the Swedish hard rock scene is their incredible ability to tailor the sound, vibe and heaviness for each album. With 'Ta Tjuren Vid Hornen', their 7th ablum, Magnolia has taken one step closer to the heavier part of the '70s, while clear influences of the early '70s progressive scene are clearly present. Fans of early Mountain, Cream and even label mates Abramis Brama are definitely recommended to let their record collection expand with the help of this album - it will fit right in.

MOTHER TURTLE - (BLACK) THREE SIDES TO EVERY STORY (LP/SOUND EFFECT)

Greek prog/avant rockers Mother Turtle return with their fourth album, entitled 'Three Sides To Every Story'. The title as well as the cover are purely symbolic, because once again, due to the band's tendency to experiment with different sounds and moods, they now present themselves as a power trio (being a sextet in the previous two albums and a quarter in their debut). With just guitar (and some guitar synths...), bass and drums, they create three songs in three completely different styles.

NO ME CONAN - THE TIDE (LP/SOUND OF SALVATATION)

A pulsating hit of mind-melting, Euro-Amazonian psych-garage strange brew arrives as No Me Conan. 'The Tide' is their second album. Charged on pure artistic chemistry, they composed seven tracks, three of those purposely fused to form a modern operatic triptych of heady surf rock, wild fuzz and jagged krautrock. As with so many albums, shade comes with light and loud meets quiet and the bright, new wave-esque riffs allows the band to steer as close to indie acceptability as their explosive imagination allows.

OISEAUX-TEMPETE - FROM SOMEWHERE INVISIBLE (LP/SUB ROSA)

Edited and mixed between Montreal and Paris, 'From Somewhere Invisible' summons the fever of experimentation and the powerful sound of the game coming together in the service of a luxuriant and psychedelic drift. Synthetic brass meets hammered rhythms, string electrics with cracked electronics, saxophone cries and laughter at a pulsing and seminal bass.

SUPERSOUL - FAITH BENDER (LP/THE LAB)

Rising from Athens Greece, the 'unholy' rock'n'roll trio Supersoul, in collaboration with The Lab Records has finally pressed their debut LP, 'Faith Bender' (originally released only on CD in September 2017), on limited edition of 300 gold vinyl. Consisting of 14 songs, the album instantly established their presence in the rock'n'roll scene, playing shows like Keep it Low festival with Elder, Wo Fat and Colour Haze, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation show of Planet Of Zeus with more than 10.000 attendees, as well as their debut tour, 'Blues Royalle', spanning 6 European countries. Sharp lyricism, fuzzy riffs and heavy grooves, are some of the elements of 'Faith Bender', and the album's identity reveals itself instantly by the kick start song, 'Mind Me When I'm Gone'. Ending with 'Freedom Prayer' you'll find yourself having gone through a complete music journey. "The perfect score to noir films, to drama TV like 'Sons Of Anarchy' or 'True Detective', or for a rock club's dancefloor!" ~More Fuzz.

VARIOUS - 10+1/25 YEARS B-OTHERSIDE/MR. VINYLIOS (LP/B-OTHERSIDE)

For the celebration of their 11 + 25 years of existence, B-otherSide Records along with Mr.Vinylios record store, asked 12 bands they love and admire to contribute an unreleased song for this compilation album. Includes tracks by Agoriastonilio, B-Sides, Cherries On A Blacklist, Diafana Krina, Isla Fortuna, Lefki Symphonia, Lia Hide, Lost Bodies, Planet Of Zeus, Purple Overdose, Raining Pleasure and Venus In Furs. The album cover was made by the legendary comic book graphic designer Ken Landgraf who among others has collaborated with Pink Floyd, Manowar and Thor. He also created Wolverine's figure for Marvel.

VVLVA - SILHOUETTES (BLACK) (LP/WORLD IN SOUND)

With 'Silhouettes', the krautrock quintet from Aschaffenburg delivers a timeless rock epic. The distinctive singing, sometimes dreamy, sometimes full of energy, is accompanied by a magical mixture between 1970s uptempo-hardrock and progressive-psychedelic elements. Connoisseurs of the dramatically-mystic backing vocals that once made Uriah Heep and Deep Purple unforgettable had to wait for a long time until a 'modern' band dared to play with such kinds of arrangements again. Clearly a step up from their convincing debut, 'Path Of Virtue'. In an authentic and courageous way, Vvlva reinforce the fact that the intense spirit of organ driven hard rock can still bear ripe fruit 50 years after Woodstock.

WE HUNT BUFFALO - WE HUNT BUFFALO (LP/THE LAB)

Repress of 300 copies on white vinyl of the 2011 debutalbum by Canadian fuzz rockers We Hunt Buffalo on the Greek label The Lab Records.

WILD FUZZ TRIP - (BLACK) SURREAL SURROUNDINGS/FUZZNAUT))) (LP/CLOSTRIDIUM)

Wild Fuzz Trip is the music of the PedalTVChannel crew with the Icelandic artist Bjarki Omarsson on drums. One thing about Wild Fuzz Trip that sets them apart is they make music that you would call doom, but also they make psychedelic music, too. They ride right along the line between doom and psych. A track like 'Mammoth Tower' has some psych elements to it, but it is more doom. But a track like 'Stonefly Echo' has more psych guitar and effects. And another thing about Wild Fuzz Trip are the PEDALS! So many pedals! Limited to 150 copies on black vinyl.

SONIC TRIP PROJECT MEETS SUNHAIR - SPACE TRIP FLIGHT LOG: PNF 30/11/2018 (2CD) (CD/SUNHAIR)

"Here's the story. One of the bands had to cancel their gig at the 11th Psychedelic Network festival on very short notice due to illness. I contacted several bands to find a replacement, but nothing worked out. What could I do now? I knew STP would arrive already on Friday afternoon, so I contacted them, and they said YES to play 2 gigs. But now I had STP playing two slots at the 11th Psychedelic Network festival, one on Friday and one on Saturday. Too much of a good thing? Next idea: to make the gigs different, I suggested joining STP on Friday night. And again they said YES! So here it is - improvised instrumental spacerock - the whole Friday set PLUS the encore of Saturday night as I joined them again AND also Phil, the brother of Vince, got on stage as a second guitarist. This was quite a surprise: the two brothers hadn't seen each other for many years, and now they met on stage at the 11th Psychedelic Network festival! Space on! Instrumental, kosmischer spacerock, professionally recorded at the mixing desk, mixed and mastered by Christian Stapff! Space is the place." ~Sunhair.

CRABS! - GET CRABS! (7"/SPINOUT NUGGETS)

CRABS! are your new favourite Surf Garage Band! Scuttling sideways up and down the frets from '58 to '63 and beyond, taking inspiration from instrumental guitar music, the 4-piece from Edinburgh mix the reverb-heavy Californian Fender sound with early British covers and gnarly garage rock. Their sound cruises the zone between tremolo and reverb, where Apache meets the Baja and is drawn from the pioneers of the surf/garage/instrumental sound, including Dick Dale & The Del Tones, The Trashmen, The Surfaris and Link Wray. Limited to 300 copies.

POP/ROCK/WAVE/NOISE

KELLY, JEFF - BENEATH THE STARS, ABOVE THE RIVER (LP/SUGARBUSH)

The influence of Spain and Portugal asserts itself from the opening notes of Jeff Kelly's (The Green Pajamas) album, 'Beneath The Stars, Above The River'. The lead track 'The Initial Kiss' is not a traditional folk song as such, but the rhythm and melody reflect Jeff's fascination with fado music. Spain too, and flamenco notes are woven throughout the album. It isn't solely the music of these countries, but the landscapes and people, the rivers and the wine, the stories and the flavors that are interpreted through Jeff's eyes and songs. The whole album was fully realized after traveling to both countries with his wife Susanne in 2017 and 2018. Limited to 300 copies.

AFFECTION PLACE - AFFECTION PLACE (LP/CAMELEON)

Ten previously unreleased tracks from 1980-81 and the first LP for this French band from Lyon. Cold-wave punk influenced by Magazine. Limited to 300 copies with insert.

INDUSTRIAL/EXPERIMENTAL/NOISE/NEOFOLK/GOTHIC

ALE HOP - APOPHENIA (LP/BUH)

'Apophenia' suggests possible and reimagined South American geographies. Along with atomized field recordings and sound samples Ale Hop recollected from video archives from her homeland, Peru. The composer interweaves unknown territories by mimicking mountains and oceans, but also grey skies and violent cities, with droning and shrieking textures of electric guitars mixed with spoken chatters and sizzles. The LP is accompanied by two black and white images from the Peruvian photographer Gihan Tubbeh that withhold the same poetic nature of the music through visual rhymes expressed on fragments of landscapes. Ale Hop is a Berlin-based artist, researcher, and experimental instrumentist from Peru. She composes electronic music, by blending strains of noise, pop, avant-garde, ambient and a complex repertoire of extended techniques for electric guitar and real time sampling devices that she uses as her sound vocabulary to craft a performance of astonishing physical intensity, saturated of layers of distortion and stunning atmospheres. Additionally, in her current A/V performance, Ale Hop assembles soundscapes that are related to the contradictory memories she keeps from Peru, from the violence and turbulence that she grew up, in uncertain times in Lima, through contemplative territories.

CHRUCH - LE CORPS DU TRISTE (LP/JELODANTI)

Chruch is the meeting of two longtime collaborators, Augustin Rebetez and Pascal Lopinat, with two musicians from elsewhere. Ida Friis has a sublime voice that comes straight from the cold fjords of northern Norway. Pia Achternkamp composes sensitive melodies, full of soul and tenderness, sometimes with some Berlin electronic accents. Pascal Lopinat brings a broken rhythm and creates powerful sound drones. Discreetly, Augustin Rebetez mixes his wizard voice influenced by hip-hop and post-hardcore to that crystalline one of his Scandinavian friend. A sensitive and contemporary album with demonic prayer songs that seem to come from an archaic rural tradition. Soft and deep music, with Swiss and mystical accents. It is the music of the secret makers, and the witches of the Scheulte.

FLORES, MIGUEL - LORCA/THE LOST TAPES 1989/1991 (LP/BUH)

Unpublished recordings by Peruvian composer and musician Miguel Flores. 'Lorca: Lost Tapes (1989-1991)' recovers recordings made for stage works inspired by the life and work of the great Spanish playwright Federico García Lorca. It is an atmospheric and minimalist album, where we find flamenco airs, Andean and Afro-Peruvian sounds, vocal experimentation and various sound effects, all stitched together in a simple but creative studio montage, which turns these pieces into a dreamy landscape.

HUMMING DOGS - LES BORIGENES (LP/BISON)

The first LP from France's Humming Dogs. Born from the radical 'Oiseau Mouche' (Bird-Fly Company) - a troupe of actors and comedians who focus on the theatre of gesture - Humming Dogs make joyful, avant rock music, which pooh poohs the po-faced in favour of a party. Humming Dogs are made up of eight members - David Bausseron, Mathieu Breuvard, Florence Decourcelle, Thierry Dupont, Chantal Esso, Léa Le Bars, Florian Spiry, and Valérie Waroquier, who each write and create songs, swap instruments and sing collectively. Guitars, bass, drum kit, and keyboards mix with toy percussion, amplified pine cones, pot lids, iPads and a zither. 'Ha Ha Ha' opens the record with the group dispersed and growling at one another, only to break out in infectious laughter, a free word riot and a thick bass melody. The traditional French song 'Karnaval' gets totally sent by keyboards and a heavy guitar scrawl egged on by the bands hooting and hollering. 'Ça Me Gratte' haunts, grates, until it splits with a rising synthesizer, squeaking toys, vocal drones and spitting, near exhausted vocals from Chantel Esso. 'Les Borigènes' contains the self taught, simple charm of the Shaggs 'Philosophy Of The World', performed in the spirit of village revelry and recorded and edited beautifully in the tradition of the GRM. Democratized experimentation, low ego rock'n'roll - 'Les Borigènes' is a truly joyous, remarkable and wild record. It arrives in an edition of 500 140 gram black vinyl LPs, with artwork from London's Submit to Love Studios and Taylor Silk.

TURNER, AARON - REPRESSION'S BLOSSOM (LP/FULL CONTACT)

Aaron Turner's solo debut 'Repression's Blossom' explores the realm of avant-garde and reductionist metal. Avoiding the pitfalls of unintentional monotone, the album's abstract narrative tightropes through viscous noise mayhem and clinical serenity towards the mythical echelons of minimalism with gravity analogous to Kevin Drumm, Caspar Brötzmann and Pauline Oliveros. The drone-supported fragments of exquisitely manipulated audio create a magnificent multi-layered backdrop for Turner's feral guitar mangling, which extends across lyrical abstraction and concrete art. Besides his solo works, Aaron Turner is renowned for his participation in the bands Sumac and Isis. His other projects include Old Man Gloom, Mamiffer and House of Low Culture, as well as collaborations with other artists such as Tashi Dorji, Daniel Menche, Keiji Haino, and Circle. He is the founder of Hydra Head Records and co-founder of SIGE Records.

DERNIERE VOLONTE - FRONTIERE (2LP/BLACK) (LP/HAU RUCK!)

After a long silence, Dernière Volonté returns. This album is articulated around visions, melancholic feelings, loneliness surrounding the disappearances of dear people. Geoffroy Delacroix delivers here his 8th album and probably also his best and most personal work, with links to '80s retro electronics and soundtracks and nowadays powerful beats and electronics as well. Limited to 250 copies on black vinyl.

LES CHASSEURS DE LA NUIT/BURIAL HEX - SPLIT LP (LP/HEIDRUNAR MYRKR)

For over two years, post-industrial auteurs Kim Larsen and Clay Ruby have been chipping away at this split release, sculpting something truly confounding and unique. While either side of this split sounds almost nothing like the other, where both projects connect is in their ability to combine seemingly incongruous musical elements together seamlessly. Combinations of space and tension, sorrow and frenzy, loss and abundance, all exist within the same short spans of time. Not only are they highly dynamic in terms of mood but also in style, where ingredients from various types of folk music, death industrial, funeral doom, kosmische Musik, electroacoustic composition and further mutations all clash together in a way that could only make sense on this album. The freedom with which Larsen and Ruby approach their compositions is unparalleled, and yet this music is not just a progressive stew of paradoxes. Rather is it distilled down into a refined, romantic and highly personal consonance.

METAL/STONER/HARDROCK

VORT - DEMO (7"/BABYLON DOOM CULT)

With their first demo, Vort from Ghent, Belgium bring us two tracks of death metal of old. This kind of music requires true dedication, it can't be faked and has to come straight from the heart. If not, you will fail miserably as a band. Luckily, Vort prove they carry the right spirit and have created two tracks of enthralling death metal. The production is exactly how it should be: organic drums, an old school guitar sound, roaring bass, deep growls and reverb-drenched screams. The faster parts breathe old school death metal while the less-paced parts go from atmospheric passages to slow riffs backed up by pounding drums. Limited to 300 copies.

CHARLENE BERETAH - RAM (LP/DIVISION)

On this first album, this Swiss trio distils its influences through 5 titles clearly reeking of the world's end. The atmospheres are varied, though always tempered by the heaviness and the gloominess inherent to the band's dark obsessions. Depression, murders and possession (both demonic and chemical) are topics treated in an atmosphere of furious madness and palpable despair. The groove, undeniable, smashing, thunderous, is interspersed with crust-punk accelerations that also recall the great hours of the Scandinavian second wave of black metal. You've understood, this first album is not in made of fine lace, and that's precisely what's so good about it. For fans of Yob, Monolord, Electric Wizard, Darkthrone, EyeHateGod.

BLUES/COUNTRY/OLDIES

DUPORTAL, NICO -& THE SPARKS- - DOG, SAINT AND SINNER (LP/DOGHOUSE & BONE)

"Nico glides effortlessly between rocking blues and soulful grooves with confidence and grace. He is drawing passionately from a wide variety of traditional roots music influences, while still maintaining a fresh original sound with clever and creative songwriting." ~Big Sandy.

SOUL/FUNK/LATIN/R&B/GOSPEL

VALMONT, FRANCK - ET SYNCHRO RHYTMIC ECLECTIC LANGUAGE (LP/SOMMOR)

All tracks have never been reissued yet or appear on any compilation. Audio restoration, editing, mastering, selection and artwork by DJ Qbico. Limited to 50 numbered copies in hand-made folder cover on 180 gram heavy black vinyl in black inner sleeve.

ELECTRONIC MUSIC/AMBIENT/D’N’B/TRIPHOP

DREAM DIVISION - TRANSCEND (LP/POLYTECHNIC YOUTH)

The debut album from Dream Division, the project of London based Tom McDowell. The album is incredible: whacked out trippy Carpenter-esque VHS horror soundbites culminating with what Tom himself describes as some "Kubrick themed nightmare". A mind frying collision of '80s sci-fi B movies, kosmische grooves and psychedelic electronics. Limited to 300 copies.

PERRACHE - BARRIERE IN MOVIMENTO (LP/POLYTECHNIC YOUTH)

The debut full length from Stuttgart based Perrache contains four fabulous electronic pieces, arguably in a vein not dissimilar to some of the works of Conrad Schnitzler or Cluster perhaps. Brought to you on tasty cream coloured vinyl in top loading sleeves. To move quickly is suggested on this one. 300 on vinyl only.

SOUNDTRACKS/LOUNGE/CULT ETC

VARIOUS - MONSTER-O-RAMA, VOL. 2 (+CD) (LP/JUKEBOX MUSIC FACTORY)

It would take demented El Vidocq no less than two years of accursed fiddling to perfect this 'Monster-O-Rama Vol. 2', a flagship compilation for the Jukebox Music Factory. As a sinister intro, The Moontrekkers' damned ditty 'Night Of The Vampire' diffuses a bone-chilling mist and the stage is set... Baron Deamon's frigid surf riffs send shivers up the spine, while the freakish doo-wop by Hollywood Flames is frankly Frankensteinian... rockabilly, twist, r'n'r, cha-cha (Renato Rascel) and even cryptal calypso with the otherworldly 'Zombie Jamboree' by Harold (Digby) McNair... Lugubrious laughter and shrieks of terror punctuate this sonorous Styx of twisted themes, rare gems and audacious mixes. But this horrific compilation is also a real beaut, sporting a superb jacket signed Jampur Fraize. All the morbid morsels, for the most part resurrected from long forgotten graves, haven't lost their certain putrid something even after all these years. The Cramps' Lux and Ivy found them atrociously perfect for their collection, as do we. Happy Halloween! SIDE 1: 1. The Moontrekkers - Night Of The Vampire 2. Baron Daemon - Ghost Guitars 3. Hollywood Flames - Frankenstein's Den 4. Merv Griffin - House Of Horrors 5. Renato Rascel - Dracula Cha-Cha 6. Harold (Digby) McNair - Zombie Jamboree 7. Screaming Lord Sutch - She's Fallen In Love With The Monster Man 8. Jack & Jim - Midnight Monsters Hop SIDE 2: 1. The Duponts - Screamin' Ball (At Dracula Hall) 2. The Idols - The Prowler 3. Bill Buchanan - The Night Before Halloween 4. Lord Rockingham's XI - Lord Rockingham Meets The Monster 5. The Mark IV - Dante's Inferno 6. The Starlighters - Creepin' 7. Joe Johnson - Gila Monster 8. The Wild Tones - Martian Band
