CHANGES - THE BALLAD OF ROBERT DE BRUCE (LP/HAU RUCK!)

Changes' 'The Ballad Of Robert De Bruce' is a saga in six parts which begins following the Battle of Falkirk, when Robert Bruce of Scotland is made aware that he has been warring against his own people. The story continues through the famous tale where Bruce is holed up in a cave, watching a spider spin its web. The outcome of the spider's efforts determines the course that he will follow in his path to become Scotland's Hero-King. It is a grand story of heroism in 14th Century Scotland vividly told by R.N. Taylor and set to music by Nicholas Tesluk. They're joined by dear friends Annabel and Michael Moynihan on violin and bodhrán respectively. The album is produced and engineered by Robert Ferbrache.

ELEPHARMERS - LORDS OF GALAXIA (LP/ELECTRIC VALLEY)

Only few available, so order fast! Coming from Sardinia (Italy), Elepharmers are a stoner/space-rock trio. Impressive guitar riffs, psychedelic solos, powerful grooves and hard-blues vocals. After touring clubs and festivals in Europe with their last work 'Erebus', they are ready to release their third album, the first with Electric Valley Records: a space trip inspired by Asimov' sci-fi novels and Sitchin's "ancient astronauts" theories.

JUSTIN HEATHCLIFF - JUSTIN HEATHCLIFF (LP/EVERLAND PSYCH)

LP housed in a thick fake leather cardboard cover. Taken from the ORIGINAL MASTERS, provided by Mr. Osamu Kitajima (=Justin Heathcliff) himself. In 1971, when Osamu Kitajima was already a successful composer of TV advertising jingles, he moved to England for a year and developed an obsession for British rock music, especially in the psychedelic field. The Beatles, The Bee Gees, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple and The Zombies became his major influences and inspired him to start a solo career under the name Justin Heathcliff, which he adopted for its typical English sound. His 1971 eponymous album was a typical pop psyche effort for its time, but not long after he returned home to Japan, Osamu abandoned the English sounding name and further on merged western progressive and electronic music with Japanese folk sounds.

KITAJIMA, OSAMU - (BLACK) THE EARLY YEARS (5LP BOX) (LP/EVERLAND PSYCH)

5LP box by Osamu Kitajima. 'Shinchugoku' (1972) is a beautiful early 1970s psychedelic folk rock effort, on which Osamu Kitajima cooperated with Fumio Miyashita (aka Far Out) and members of the very popular Far East Family Band, to create a bunch of mind altering colorful tunes with a mellow, yet intense approach. 'Benzaiten' (1976) is an album which is called his masterpiece by many aficionadoes of 1970s progressive rock, with its mixture of haunting Japanese folk elements and skillfully played spacey rock music that takes you on a spiritual journey to the center of your mind. 'Osamu' (1977) is his third album which marks another change in direction. Still Japanese elements and some haunting melodic space rock elements flow gently into another, but by incorporating jazz, funk and even reggae, Osamu broadens the whole musical colour palette by far. On 'Masterless Samurai' (1980) Osamu completely abandons the space rock aspects here and takes a turn into jazz rock with a progressive edge, that he still combines with these totally exotical sounding Japanese folk elements. 'Dragon King' (1981): The step from 'Masterless Samurai' to 'Dragon King' has not been such a big one as it has been with the albums before. We experience a softer version of Osamu's jazz rock/Japanese folk fusion, that often even shows soul pop aspects, typical for it's time. The 5 LPs come on 180 gram audiophile black vinyl in heavy covers, and are housed in a beautiful box with magnetic lock, with all inserts of the original LPs.

MOTHER IRON HORSE - THE LESSER KEY (BLACK) (LP/ELECTRIC VALLEY)

Only few available, so order fast! Salem, Massachusetts is a place that everyone knows. People flock from all over the world to celebrate the history and experience the mysteries of the occult. From it's famous history of witchcraft to it's home of both the Satanic Temple and the Golden Dawn. Salem is a place that thrives on the unkown. A place where the veil is at it's thinnest. This is the home of Mother Iron Horse. This was the inspiration for their debut album 'The Lesser Key'. Recorded by themselves in their own hand-built studio. Mother Iron Horse kicks the door in with heavy grooves that lay the ground work for 'The Lesser Key'. An album that is absolutely perfect for beer-soaked motorcycle weekends just as well as it is with headphones and a fist full of mushrooms. A trip that lasts 39 minutes through 9 tracks. You'll hear heavy riffs, ambient invocations, wide vocal ranges and killer leads. This is how Mother Iron Horse properly introduces itself to the world. This is chapter number one.

NANI _ GURU - VOVIVIZM EPISODE 2 (LP/BAM BALAM)

A duo by 2 members from Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O.: Kawabata Makoto "Speed Guru" (electric guitar, synthesizer) and Satoshima Nani (drums, sampler). Nani _ Guru is a hyper-experimental, psychedelic astro-trance duo, spontaneously formed in February 2018. Their first album was recorded immediately and released on CD by the Acid Mothers Temple in March 2018 in a limited edition of 300. In May 2018 they made their live debut on a tour of Mexico, and subsequently played dates in Japan. The group's sound combines the experimental with the ecstatic, the rigorous experimentalism of contemporary classical composition with the groove of dance music. It is impossible to believe that their ultra high speed, ultra dense, ultra massive particle cloud of sound is made by just two people. This is their second album.

VON PEGEL - VON PEGEL (LP/KOMMUN2)

"This is steeped in the same mould as German rockers Kraftwerk, with some Neu! thrown in for good measure. Great pedestrian, dark and relentless "motorik" rock'n'roll. ~Daniel Dellamorte, music historian and author of the book Swedish Death Metal. This trio from Sweden is fronted by German singer/bass player Ulrich Ruchlinski, and this might be the most teutonic music ever to come out of Scandinavia. The songs are like pulses, but they shift on their foundations; Album opener 'Berlin' has a Larry Heard-style house bassline, but the presence of a heavy vocal delivery sends it drifting into the beyond. Frequent appearances of quavering analogue synthesizers, very much the krautrock culture's go-to instrument, are delivered by Fredrik Ramsten. This further enhances the very particular beauty of the music, which, thanks to Magnus Könberg Larsson's drumming, sounds like punk rock with a jazz arranger's mindset. While krautrock music is often abominably threatening, these compositions owe as much to space rock purveyors Hawkwind as to their West German roots.

MICKEY GUITAR BAND - FROM THE BEACHES (CD/BAM BALAM)

Instrumental psych band from Japan featuring Ken Matsutani, who was manager of the legendary Captain Trip Records and guitarist, vocalist and the leader of Marble Sheep. He has also participated in several other Japanese rock underground groups including AOR and Cement Women (1982), Onna(1985) and White Heaven (1986). Rinji Fukuoka is the Tokyo-based psychedelic guitarist and violinist, founder of the groups Overhang Party. Fukuoka also play drums and percussion with The Mickey guitar band. Also features Inage Louis on bass and Hiroshi Hasegawa on electronics and field recordings.

GARAGE/BEAT/SURF/ROCK’N’ROLL

PUSSY CAT - 1966-1969 (LP/LES SENTINELLES)

Pussy Cat (born Evelyn Courtois) was born in Paris on June 14th, 1948. At 17 years old she was already making her guitar purr in her all girl band, Les Petites Souris. Not long after, Tom Jones gave her the name Pussy Cat. Meow! Pussy Cat soon became the leading rhythm singer in France following her take over of the bands of the British Invasion, singing in such iconic acts as The Hollies, Small Faces, Herman's Hermits, Zombies... as well as Dee Dee Warwick and Nancy Wilson. Enjoy this collection showcasing her wild talent in the service of these songs, be seduced by the acid charm and rhythmic genius of Pussy Cat. Limited to 250 copies. SIDE 1: 1. Ba Ba Ba... Boof 2. POP/ROCK/WAVE/NOISE

GAD WHIP - WARD 24/TRADEMARK (7"/FOURTH DIMENSION)

'Ward 24', still bound to vocalist Pete Davies' semi-spoken psycho-rambled narrative, has a distinctly melodic lilt to its serpentine yet curdled minimal rock underpinning, whilst 'Trademark' is pure 'n' catchy garage-punk bluster instantly proving these boys don't want anybody to get too cosy before whatever it is next they're cooking up. This one mainlines straight to the late night dancefloor of a seedy basement club already cracking with the strain of music not especially designed to be danced to. The nods towards subtle experimentation of their longer works may well have been lifted, or abandoned altogether, but Gad Whip know exactly how to utilise the single format to the best of its potential. Limited to 150 copies. Co-released by Fourth Dimension and X-Mist Records. For fans of Sleaford Mods and The Fall.

DAVACHI, SARAH -& ARIEL KALMA- - INTEMPOREL (LP/BLACK SWEAT)

Sarah and Ariel blend their strong individual personalities in a single trip on the edge of time. Their kosmische music is pure, magnificent and elegant, an intergalactic hypnosis that seems to tell of distant times, a millenary vortex of a lost Era. In the first phase of departure, the mysterious song of the sax winds in archaic echoes, supported by the electronic inlays of the synth (Arp Odissey). Flowing between space rumbles and astral progressions, we sight high celestial bodies. When the infinite drones of the tampura start, we take part in the night ceremonial, surrounded by the deep harmonium and the Tibetan bell chimes. This music releases a sort of mythological warmth, secret codes of a lost purity, which lets us dwell in the labyrinths of a pyramid or in the sacred space of a cosmic pagoda.

GALES, FRED - HET JACOBA PRIEEL (2LP) (LP/BLACK SWEAT)

Originally released on tape by Sound Reporters in 1986. 'Het Jacoba Prieel' is a very weird compendium of imaginary soundscapes, in which every coordinate seems lost and totally deviated. Fred Gales, in collaboration with Walter Maioli and Pit Piccinelli, presents his idea of a concrete organic music, a diary of signals and sound impressions inspired by the great tradition of primitive music, an extreme investigation of love on the primordial beauty of sound expression. Travelling into the properties of all matter of the sonic environment, the members of the legendary Sound Reporters generate, transform, mix, filter and modulate natural and electronic sounds in the magical analogical studio of the Utrecht Institute of Sonology. From a single movement of sound fragments are opened catalyst flows and circuits, flickering sequencers and oscillations of luminous channels. Futuristic tribalism, hypnotic fossil percussion, alien sounds, dreamlike trips in the jungle, echoes of rustling and rumbles otherworldly, rain waterfalls and shells in the pond, calls of animals and insects, heart beats and radar waves. Everything is just pure sound and surrounds us.

MORAL ORDER - WRATH OF GOD (LP/TESCO)

'Wrath Of God' is, possibly the darkest and most oppressive work of Moral Order. Also the most inaccessible and quoted so far. This album went on the market in 2018 in a careful edition on cassette, shuttered in wooden box pyro-engraved with the logo of the band. Limited to only 45 copies, it was sold out a few days after announcing the preorder, and there have been many who were left wanting to get this material. TESCO ORGANISATION relaunches it on vinyl format, accompanied by two unreleased extra songs from the same recording sessions. Seven tracks in which power electronics is interlaced with opaque and cold soundscapes.

OTTONE PESANTE/SUDOKU KILLER - SUBSOUND SPLIT SERIES #8 (LP/SUBSOUND)

Pressed on transparent orange wax, the 8th release in the Subsound split series includes the heavy brass metal trio Ottone Pesante and the psycho psychedelic/hypnotic jazz of Caterina Palazzi: Sudoku Killer.

RAVIV, AMNON - MIRROR (LP/PARADIGM DISCS)

Originally released in Israel in 1983 and only available in a handmade edition of just 50 copies. As such, this edition is the first widely available issue of this LP, giving it a chance to reach an audience beyond the 50 hardened collectors who got to hear this strange experimental record back in the '80s. There's nothing else quite like it from that era, let alone from Israel, although it does have some parallels with earlier avant garde/outsider music from the US and Europe. It may well be the strangest, as well as one of the most obscure records to come out of Israel. The instruments used are flamenco and acoustic guitar, flute, violin and sax. Some of the playing is free form and some is complex notation, but all the tracks contain collages of effects and noisy field recordings which often dominate the picture - bubbling water, a chicken farm, feedback, transistor radio, metal percussion, vacuum cleaner, etc. There are some comparisons to be made with Anal Magic and Rev. Dwight Frizzell's 'Beyond The Black Crack' from 1976 (also reissued on Paradigm), 'Mirror' has a similar wild and fried atmosphere sitting amidst the open sonic spaces, coupled with some skilled instrumental playing. A notable difference with the Frizzell is that Frizzell's pieces are always titled. The 6 pieces here are all untitled. Amnon Raviv is still active as a musician, but he also holds a PhD in medical clowning and his main work these days is as a medical clown, incorporating smiles and laughter as a therapy to help recovering patients on Tel Aviv's cancer wards. This edition comes with new artwork showing Raviv working as a performance artist on the streets of Amsterdam in 1984. The insert replicates the original artwork from one of the 50 unique sleeves and contains liner notes by the artist that give insights into the concept behind this album. 'Mirror' is available in an edition of 500 numbered copies.

RG. ROUGH - 60 (LP/BAM BALAM)

A musical jigsaw made out of sounds from the '60s, ripped to shreds, reshaped, reassembled and coerced into fitting. This long piece in 10 parts (60 to 69) takes you on a journey through a decade which may have existed long ago, in some strange parallel universe...

SANDOZ LAB TECHNICIANS - GREY ORDERS, DISTANT TRAILS (LP/IKUISUUS)

Improvised soundtrack to a non-existent Western, recorded in the late '90s by James Kirk, Nathan Thompson and Tim Cornelius. Limited to 250 copies.

SARRY - SO (LP/BAM BALAM)

Through Fuji Yuki's softly screamed vocals, gently echoing into madness, and 821's bass, which reaches for the innermost depths of the human heart, Sarry's music -at times incantational, at times narrative- explores the occult realm of sound that connects this world to the next. Taking elements from various genres such as Buddhist ritual music, krautrock, dark ambient, drone, hardcore and noise, and blending them into an original style of performance using only bass and vocals. Sarry stands out even in Osaka's underground scene -the most unorthodox in all of Japan- and has received praise from musicians at the forefront of the Japanese underground. The vocal style includes a little unusual singing approach - minimal phrase repetition, voice drone, etc. Her voice works as one of a great instruments.

TRIPLE NEGATIVE - PRECIOUS WASTE IN OUR WAKE (LP/PENULTIMATE PRESS)

Debut LP from one of London's most wonderful and weird acts, Triple Negative. Ringing like a LOUD warning shot to any cumbersome emulators of classics and those whomst would obey the rulebooks of the arthritic avant-garde, passages of abstract, energetic garage-psych and a previously unimaginable range of unexplored tone and texture (both electronic and acoustic) are weaved together with sensitive, understated jumble-sale genius!! Shamanistic levels of enchantment throughout and an ectopic groove beating at the heart of the whole album, the subtle drifts come with a poise that recalls the finest moments on that Maciunas Ensemble collection from last year or indeed the disintegrative NZ death-march of The Dead C's 'Armed Courage', every ounce of this trio equipped with jaws capable of delivering the same level of writhing combustible haunting BITE and rhythm as This Heat. Limited to 280 copies.

TWA CORBIES - THE CLAMOURING (LP/BOLLEBOUZ)

Repress! Twa Corbies is a project featuring Tony Wakeford (Sol Invictus) and Gernot Musch (ex-Pilori). The duo's debut album is deeply rooted in the origins of European dark folk music. The LP version comes in an embossed cover with a printed inner sleeve. This is a limited edition of 250 copies on black vinyl.

VARIOUS - ETHNOELECTRONICS (2LP) (LP/BLACK SWEAT)

Originally released on tape by Sound Reporters in 1986. 'Ethnoelectronics' is a further episode of pioneering fusion between ethnic and electronic music, involving dauntless explorers such as Walter Maioli, Nirodh Fortini, Fred Gales, Raffaele Serra, John Zandijk and the visionary sculptor Edward Luyken. As the soundtrack of an obscure science-fiction saga, the six parts of these recordings retain something profoundly osmotic and sidereal. In these hybridizations, it's the heart of personal spiritual cosmos and stratospheric portals to pulse, but always remains the devotion to wild nature and ethnographic differences. In this way, the sinusoidal movements of electronic synthesizers and radiophonic frequencies interact with the pounding sounds of the jungle, with frogs, sea waves, buzz insects, leaves and rain. From flutes, rattles, steel sound sculptures or rustling idiophones, mysterious samples appeared like weird interferences, with rhythms and ritual voices from Tibet, West Papua, Burundi, Tahiti or the shamanic Japan of the Ainu.

DOBIE, SHOLTO -& MARK HARWOOD- - THE BLUE HORSE (CD/PENULTIMATE PRESS)

'The Blue Horse' is a beautiful strange journey through a landscape where little is familiar but all are welcome. Made from predominantly acoustic sources, 'The Blue Horse' gracefully hisses, puffs, wheezes, whirls, and clunks its way through a series of distinct musical and non musical environments. Sounding both at times like a dark and stormy night... and "an elephant trying to get laid", the ambiguous style of 'The Blue Horse' conceals the artists unsettling, fantastical and quietly humorous sensibility. Whilst 'The Blue Horse' lacks any obvious precursors, its elemental and environmental leanings potentially tread a path initially mapped out by Moniek Darge and Godfried-Willem Raes in the works coming out of the Logos Foundation in Ghent, Belgium in the mid '80s.

HAINO, KEIJI -& SUMAC- - EVEN FOR JUST THE BRIEFEST MOMENT... (CD/TROST)

...KEEP CHARGING THIS "EXPIATION" PLUG IN TO MAKING IT SLIGHTLY BETTER' - Post-metal powerforce Sumac around Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom) follow up their collaboration with Keiji Haino on Thrill Jockey with another monolith - heavy and experimental at the same time!

METAL/STONER/HARDROCK

AX & SUNHAIR - (BLACK) SPIRAL SPACEKRAUT TRIP (LP/SUNHAIR)
