There are no weak parts on the album at all. Only impressive songs played by talented musicians, recorded professionally, and taken from the master tapes. Everything fits together quite perfectly. Fans of early Pink Floyd will thoroughly enjoy the LP. Its style is reminiscent of the late 1960s. All songs, except for the rather catchy "Lory", are very mysterious and reveal their real beauty only after being listened to for several times. It's a shame that Lightshine from Emmerich have not released any further material. The one at hand is an aural pleasure from the first to the very last tone. The original LP was released on the Trefiton label in 1976. Perhaps best known as the first real band of Jore Vastelin, of Musta Paraati fame, Nolla Nolla Nolla (also known as 000) produced only an EP and an album during their two short bursts of activity. Having broken up in 1982 after the EP "Oodeja simasuille", they reformed briefly in 1984 to record this album. Their original blend of classic punk rock and Killing Joke -style post punk was not a popular concoction at that time, and it is only in later years that their legacy has grown into a cult. The original pressing of this album has been known to change hands for several hundred euros. The Svart reissue features a sturdy gatefold jacket and a 24-page A4 booklet with bilingual liner notes from the band's guitar player Make and many previously unpublished photos from the era. No, to put it simply, over the course of less than two years, and even if they officially released during their lifetime only one EP on SERAPHIC DECAY and one demo on tape, this bunch of young lads changed the course of Scandinavian extreme metal forever. Up to this day, only a handful of brave acts have managed to match the intensity and utter creepiness of "Caught In A Vortex" or "Vulgar Necrolatry". Doom then later released the subtly named Fuck Peaceville CD, which contained re-recordings of most tracks from the Peaceville era. This hefty double vinyl package contains everything Doom recorded for Peaceville - War Crimes LP, tracks from the split LP with No Security and Police Bastard 7" - all are the original recordings. Reissue of one of the first Finnish heavy metal records, originally released in 1980. Sarcofagus were certainly an odd band to come out Finland in the late seventies. While the nation grooved to countless punk rock and rockabilly revival bands, the Kimmo Kuusniemi -led troupe explored a darker, heavier terrain. The band's first album "Cycle of Life", released in early 1980, had been a poorly received but solid hard rock effort. Sarcofagus returned to the studio later in the same year and took their concept of heavy metal further into darkness with the 2nd album "Envoy of Death". Promo shots showed the group breathing fire and brandishing crosses in full corpsepaint; this in combination with occult lyrics and doom-laden riffing resulted in a masterpiece but also guaranteed the band found little audience at the time. Original copies of the LP ended up in bargain bins and Sarcofagus decided to call it quits, only to gain international cult recognition later. Tracks like the 9-minute doom opus "Black Contract" show how far ahead of their time the band really was. Sound material recorded between 1985 and 1990 originally intended to be released in Japan in 1990 as Genocide Organ's second album, and is the missing link between 'Leichenlinie' and 'Save Our Slaves'. Some tracks were released later elsewhere, but to commemorate the first live appearance of Genocide Organ in Tokyo 1. March 2003 they were released first time together on CD. This new edition released in 2012 contains 3 bonus tracks taken from the 1991 and 1992 in Japan released acetate 7"s. The complete material is remastered by Jerome Nougaillon and comes in a deluxe gatefold cover. Limited to 500 copies.
